"Senior brother, we're close". the white-robed boy said.

" En". Fredrick replied.

He did not divert his attention as he stayed focused on maintaining the hand seals over the body in the casket.

They were still flying over the Reincarnation River and they had reached a point where a long line of blue spots sped along the river.

Before long, plenty of boats identical to theirs appeared in the distance.

A tall man in grey robes stood on a more intrinsically designed boat that stood foremost in the group. He turned his head and looked in Frederick's direction.

" What took you so long? And where is supreme master Davi?". His voice resounded.

The people on the other boats all wearing black looked on silently.

Fredrick remained silent and continued maintaining the hand seals over the iridescent body.

The other boy on the boat looked back and forth between both of them. When he saw Frederick had no intentions of replying he stuttered.

"Sect master well...... We, we.......".

"Enough!". The grey-robed man cut in.

He turned back to what he was looking at before

" We have been waiting for you guys for a long time.".

In front of him was a circular inscription of runes. It was carved out on the void over the Reincarnation River.

The power of laws radiated from the markings and in the center, a glowing stone hung above a smaller inscription with more complex markings. Tiny runes crisscrossed the stone and gave off a daunting look

A mystical aura gushed out of the stone and an indiscernible pressure impacted the surroundings.

He signalled his hand at Frederick and the boy in white robes steered the boat to his direction.

When their boats were beside each other, the Sect master entered their boat and made a hand seal over the body.

Fredrick dropped his hands and stood up then he bowed to the Sect master.

" Sect master, supreme master Davi had gone to stop the Eternal Palaces. He will be with us shortly". He said respectfully.

The Sect master nodded and left the boat. The casket floated beside him on its own.

He flew to the center of the circle of inscriptions and waved his hand.

The casket opened and the body inside rose and floated to his front. A soft muttering resonated and he changed the hand seal while the body moved to the top of the glowing stone.

Immediately seven white bearded elders flew out of the other boats and stopped just outside of the runes. They started chanting an incantation while they made the same hand seal.

After some time, the markings on the runes started glowing dimly and the Sect master moved towards the body.

Suddenly,

Boom!!!

A large hand made of compressed energy came out of nowhere and blasted him away from the runes.

The force threw the Sect master far away and he crashed into the boats of his followers. The momentum made him crash through a significant number of the boats before he managed to stabilize himself.

The members of the Dark coalition that were thrown out from the destroyed boats all gathered and went behind the Sect master silently.

" I will not allow you to succeed".

A loud voice came booming from a distance. Eugene rushed to the scene immediately after the voice and glared at the Sect master vigilantly.

The Sect master had a blank look on his face for a moment before he turned his head stiffly to look at the runes.

Immediately, his expression changed and his eyes widened with horror displayed clearly in them.

His face grew progressively uglier as he watched the runes become brighter and brighter.

Eugene stood between the runes and the Sect master.

"You shall not get past me today, Fabil. I will not allow you to succeed". He said in a deep voice.

By now the other experts following Eugene had also arrived.

" Finally, we're here!". Efel wiped off imaginary sweat from his forehead.

They all went to stand beside Eugene and guarded the runes against Fabil and his gang.

" Fabil you know your plan is impossible! Just give up this madness". Efel looked at Fabil and said in a serious voice.

Fabil ignored him and continued staring at the circle of runes wide-eyed. He raised his trembling hands and pointed at Eugene.

" YOU!......WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!!!".

After saying that, he crumpled on the boat with a defeated look on his face.

The seven elders had all stopped chanting the incantations and just like Fabil, were staring at the runes in horror.

" It's over, it's all over. We are all dead. Everyone is dead". Fabil mumbled like a madman.

" Sect master!!! ". Fredrick hurried to Fabil " What's happening?". he asked.

The rest of the Dark Coalition members had a look of confusion, but they still stood silent behind Fabil.

Fabian got up with shaky legs and pointed at Eugene

"He did this. He has ruined everything. This bastard ruined everything. Now 'He' is going to come back."

Hearing this, Eugene's countenance changed.

He pointed at himself " Me? how? what did I do?"

As he spoke, he inadvertently recalled what the Dark Coalition had been doing before he arrived and his eyes widened in fear.

" No! Don't tell me.......". He stiffly turned his body and looked at the rune circle behind him.

" What is happening?". shouted Efel. He too had just turned back to look at the runes.

" The body!". one of the female experts who had followed Eugene exclaimed.

" This is bad". The swordsman said as he tightened his hand around the hilt of his sword.

Inside the circle of runes, the iridescent body floated over the glowing stone and a grey-red aura linked the body and the stone.

The runes that formed the circle started glowing brightly and a faint red barrier formed around it.

" You see what you have caused, you big-headed moron!". Fabil cursed angrily at Eugene.

Eugene ignored him and immediately slapped at the barrier decisively. A mass of destructive energy burst out from his palm and wracked at the barrier while causing intense fluctuations in the space. However, the destructive energy faded the barrier still stood there without any damage.

' The barrier is too strong!' Everyone thought.

" It's useless". Efel said calmly from the side. His frivolous personality had disappeared. Instead extreme seriousness showed in his demeanor.

" We have already failed this mission. We now have to try finding the success inside failure that the Monk was talking about". He said with a grave voice.

Devon shook his head. "So it has eventually come to this". He said in a low voice.

Fabian came out of the destroyed boat and glared at Eugene

" This is one of the reasons I dislike you. You always come butting in with every time with that bloated head filled with fake righteousness. Never would you try finding out the real situation rather than make things worse than they were before".

He looked at Efel.

"This moron is right though. These runes were made specifically to draw upon the energy of the universe origin stone to block you while I subdue the remnant will the body. But like always, you had to come in at the worst possible moment to ruin everything! Now we both can do nothing about it and are going to watch while a mindless and violent Kores is let loose on our universe and possibly others".

Eugene turned to Fabil and said in a serious tone " Even though I know we both hate it, we will have to work together this time to hold him off. If we do not cooperate everyone here might die."

While they talked, the tiny runes that crisscrossed the stone started spinning and the light that connected the body and the stone broke into another section that entered the Reincarnation River. A small whirlpool formed in the river around the light.

The blue lights weren't affected and only avoided the light and continued on their journey.

After some moments, some blue fragments started getting attracted to the light from the depths of the river. When they got close to the light, they went around the whirlpool and went back to the river.

This continued until a noticeably smaller fragment was pulled up. Immediately it was sucked up to the light and retracted with the light to the body.

The moment it entered the body, the corpse started shaking violently and the stone started moving towards the body and the light became brighter and brighter until it became a blinding light.

Fabil watched the progression of events and scoffed at Eugene.

" To hell with your damned cooperation! I will not be helping in any way to hold back this demon. You can enjoy it to the fullest. There's no way I'm going to court death with you. Since I would die anyway, why shouldn't I just prolong my death".

Eugene looked at him in shock " You want to escape? You know too well what would happen should Kores be let loose in the universe!"

Fabil looked at him mockingly " I know very well. And that's why I'll be leaving now to go prepare my grave. You can have fun without me."

" Had you kept your nose out of my business everything would have gone smoothly. It's your mess and you should stay to clean it up".

Eugene smiled coldly " You don't really think you can go anywhere while I'm here do you?".

Fabil laughed and waved his hand.

" Watch me".

All the members of the Dark coalition around including Fredrick all flocked to his side.

Fabian looked at Eugene with the same mocking look on his face " I can sense that Supreme master Davi is no longer in this zone. I don't know what happened. But do you think we are like you butting our heads everywhere with no plan? Just because you think you are strong?".

Fabian threw a round disk up and black lights burst out from the disk and covered all the Dark coalition members.

" No! Stop him!". Efel cried out.

Eugene made a hand sign and stretched his hand outward

" Stay here!". He roared

A dark cube filled with dense inscriptions shot towards Fabian and his group and enlarged, wanting to capture them.

" Hehe. I'll thank you another time for holding him back for me. Later losers!". Fabian sneered.

Before the dark cube could reach them, The black lights suddenly contracted at an impossible speed around the Dark Coalition and turned into a black fit before vanishing into space.

By now, the body had stopped shaking and the stone had already fused to its chest.

The eyelids fluttered open.

" Roar!!!!".

Very early the next day, Derrick climbed up the stairs of the library with bright eyes. He had been dreaming of the library throughout the whole night. He could not wait to read all the books there. The guards were the same ones as the day before and they only glanced at Derrick perfunctorily as he passed through the doors of the library. The expected scene of towering shelves filled with ancient books and a mystical air was not what greeted Derrick as he entered. Instead, there was a small plain room with a high desk at the end. At the sides of the desk were two doors. One was closed while the other revealed a spiral staircase leading upwards. A middle-aged man sat at the desk. His face was sallow and he had a pale complexion. His ragged brown hair hid behind his high crown which made him look like he was balding. The man looked at Derrick drowsily and asked in a tired voice." What level are you?"" First Stage apprentice".The man dragged his right hand across the desk so it was p

Outside the fighting hall. The two men had already walked some meters away when Jason turned to Derrick. An apologetic look on his face." Uhm, about what just happened. I'm sorry I got you involved. If I knew he was still in there I would not have brought you here". Derrick continued walking forward without answering and Jason eventually followed. After some minutes of silent walking, Derrick looked at the young boy at his side whose bored expression made it really hard to know his true emotions. " Did you challenge him or did he challenge you?". Derrick asked suddenly."Huh?". Jason was startled. " Oh, right. He challenged me. Until this morning I was higher than him in the rankings. Since he learned a spear art he has been moving upwards steadily. The guy you saw him defeat was just above me".Derrick raised his eyebrows slightly, " What spear art?"." I was going to tell you about that later. It's a martial technique. You can find martial techniques in the library. There's a se

Jason looked at the state of Derrick's belongings, shook his head, and sighed. He closed the door behind himself and walked to his corner." Wait for me. I'll be out in a minute". He told Derrick as he entered the bathroom.Derrick furrowed his brows " Why should I wait for you?". He asked loudly." Just wait. There are some things you need to know". Jason's voice called out from the bathroom.Derrick was a little puzzled by Jason's request, but he waited anyway. He was unfamiliar with this place and would appreciate any new information. After some minutes, Jason came out of the bathroom with white steam rising from his body. He picked up some new clothes and wore them before turning to Derrick." You just arrived at the academy and you don't know much, but it's a rule for the roommate of the newcomer or the nearest person around to show them how things are run in the academy". " But, a guide already showed me around when I arrived". Derrick pointed out.Jason dismissively waved his

Derrick picked up the manual Edgar had given him. The man had emphasized it so much that it would be a little foolish not to read it.And Derrick needed to know what was going to happen from here. Edgar did not behave like a guide at all and just left him with vague guidance. Derrick himself was too lazy to ask the man anything. Since there was a handy book here that did not require him to associate with anybody, why not?He started reading the manual. Its content was pretty easy to understand. Derrick had just found out that this organization was called the Martial Arts Training Academy. Not headquarters. He had Harrison and the president to blame for that. The first few lines consisted of the rules of the academy which were, to be honest, a little too few. The rules were just saying; that you can have all the freedom you want. Just don't cause any trouble outside the academy or you'll face the consequences yourself while the academy looks on with arms folded. The rules also sa

" Hahaha! Starlight City baby!". Derrick carried his backpack out of the airport's gate and greedily inhaled the fresh airFinally, he was out of Burrin. It was so refreshing. "Phoo! This place is chilly!". Derrick rubbed his shoulders as he shivered. He wore skimpy clothes while traveling. It was not that he did not know that Starlight City had by far a lower degree than Burrin. He knew perfectly well, but Derrick had presumed that since he had become a martial artist he could be immune from the cold. Now it seemed like he was a little naive in his thinking. His body was only stronger than a normal person's own, and he could endure harsh weather better. But that did not mean that he was immune to cold. However, it was not a problem. He just had to circulate a bit of energy and he could get rid of the cold.He circulated his internal energy to get rid of the cold before activating his meditation state while praying strongly that the spiritual energy in Starlight City was not scar

In the parking lot of the Martial Arts Trainee Center...The president of the martial arts training center stood outside in the front park with Harrison. It was around ten am in the morning and their faces looked a little unpleasant, they had been standing there for a long time while waiting for Derrick. Till now there was no sign of him." That Derrick is really strange, isn't he? For two weeks he has not smelt this place, even though we left full use of the Dixt tree for him. What's more, is that he even has the nerve to keep us waiting for two hours!. Harrison, did you not text him yesterday to remind him of the time?". The president complained bitterly." I did text him yesterday. He told me he would be here. And If I remember correctly, I think he said that the energy around the Dixt tree was exhausted. What's this about letting him have full access to it? Maybe I heard wrongly." Harrison replied as he looked at the president with a strange gaze." Cough... Cough... Nevermind t
