Chapter 3

Once Goddess Zhitarine informed the champions of the family and status where they will be born into, she then announced that they can now choose the Gods they will be representing. However, she asked the champions to first formally introduce themselves to one another to solidify their bonds.

After their introductions to one another, the rest were surprised to learn that Henry is the only one that doesn't have any military, counter intelligence, or combat occupation. Rather, he is someone in the medical fields.

Victor: "Wait, so you had to fight off Abu Sayyaf members all by yourself to save your medical team? How? I thought doctors were trained to do no harm?"

Victor questioned, as he can't believe that a civilian could go up against train terrorist like he did.

Henry: "W-well, I was taught by my older brother who was in the military when I was young. My family and I lived in Nevada when I was young where my brother was stationed. When I was twelve, he taught me how to handle pistols and rifles. He wanted me to be in the military too, but I didn't have the heart to tell him that even then, I wanted to be a doctor, so I just did it to spend time with him."

Henry said, telling them of how his brother wanted to groom him into a military life.

Melva: "You had a great brother. My parents were liberals, so they kept pushing me away from the military life. My grandad was a real Texan though, so he helped me get to where I am today."

Victor: "You're dead now, so I'd say your grandad kind of betted wrong on that one, hahahaha..."

Victor's quip earned him a punch from Melva as he interrupted her.

San Gyun: "So, all of us here performed feats of heroism that earned us the right to be reincarnated as champions. Henry bravely fought to save his team. Melva hunted down terrorist leaders and brought them down singlehandedly. Victor saved his crew from drowning. Silvia took down a slavering ring in Paris and freed many girls from sex trafficking. And I Stopped a bombing attempt by those dirty North Korean sleeper agents."

Zhitarine: "Correct again, San Gyun. You have all shown unbelievable bravery and skills in your previous life, that is why we couldn't help but choose all of you as our champions. Though all of you may possess extraordinary abilities in your own fields, you have surpassed that by having the hearts of true heroes."

Zhitarine said to San Gyun with over flowing pride, as if she is a mother boasting about her children to anyone who would listen.

Now that the champions have gotten to know each other better, Zhitarine decided that it's time they got to know her and the other Gods as well to help them choose who they will represent.

"Let me start the introductions. I am Flazahar, mighty God of fire and heat. I reign dominion on all things fire. If you pick me, all your foes will turn into ash in the blink of an eye."

Flazahar introduced himself in a boastful way. His prideful smile kind of looks scary due to the fact that he has the face of a dragon with a head of hair and beard made of fire, and a bipedal body clad in heavy and durable metallic armor with red and and gold colored patterns.

"Nice to meet you all. I am Aquardia, great Goddess of water. I have dominion over all things water. If you pick this big sister here, everyone that you fight will all drown and be swept away."

Aquardia, the very cheerful Goddess of water introduced herself in an animated way. Her Blue skin shining in contras within the white void, and her voluptuous body allures the heart of the male champions as she wears a green bikini top with a matching green skirt that reaches to her knee.

"I am Herdious, the God of Earth. As the most beautiful and muscular God of them all, I have dominion over the strength and mental fortitude of Earth. If you come to my side, you'll be blessed with the beauty of strength beyond compare, HAKHAKHAKHAK...!"

The God of Earth Herdious introduced himself in an arrogant way as he flexes his bulging muscles. His luchador mask like face cackles as he expose his bronze colored body while wearing nothing but a speedo like underwear and a green cape on his back. The champions avoid their gaze from him, seemingly assuring that no one will pick him as their God.

Zhitarine: "As you know, my name is Zhitarine, the Goddess of Light. As the Goddess of light, I have the dominion over all things light and holy magic. Anyone that has my power will be able to perform light magic, healing, purification magic, lightning magic, and even more magical spells."

Zhitarine re-introduces herself to the champions and the ability that she can bestow to them.

"I am The God of the Wind, Whisperverg. I hold dominion over all wind elements. With me as your God, you will be able to blow anything away."

Whisperverg, the God of Wind said in his lack luster introduction. The God of the Wind looks like a very handsome man with soft facial features, un-opening slits for eyes, and light greening skin complexion that is almost transparent. He's wearing a shamrock colored flowing robe with a long teal colored hood made of feathers.

Fabizaph: "Hello again, everyone. My name is Fabizaph, the God of time and foresight. If you chose to represent me, you will have the power to foresee future events as far forward as twenty years. Granted that this will come with some limitations, but all in all, a truly powerful ability."

Fabizaph introducing himself to the champions formally. His turtle like visage giving him an air of wisdom in a way unknown to the champions,

"W-well, lastly is me. My name is Gore Traveegal. I am the God of Flesh. If you become my representative, you can recreate any flesh that you have touched. I-it's a good power to have for re-growing lost limbs and body parts, and can sometimes be used to make a wall of flesh for defense... I guess."

Last but not the least is Gore Traveegal, The Flesh God. He introduced himself in a very meek manner, which is in contrast to his appearance. He appears like a mishmash of different creatures put together. He has a masculine and chiseled face with horns on his forehead. His right arm is covered in multi colored lizard like scales, while his left arm is covered in an black insect like exoskeleton. He wears a white armor that appears to be made of bones or ivory, and a long pair of dark brown pants.

Zhitarine: "Now, the one who will chose first is none other than... Henry."

Zhitarine announced to everyone in attendance.

Henry:" W-why me?"

Zhitarine: "Because of two things. First is your exemplary act of bravery. Against trained terrorist, you didn't show a single shred of fear or hesitation to protect those around you, even with almost non-existent combat experience. And two, you had the highest kill count in solo combat. You mowed down over twenty people in under half an hour. We were so impressed."

Zhitarine told Henry as she and some of the other Gods look upon him with pride, much to Henry's chagrin as he didn't want to be known as a killer.

Henry: "So I can choose any one of you as my God now, right?"

Goddess Zhitarine nodded in affirmation to Henry's question.

Henry: "Then, I would like to pick you, Lord Gore Traveegal as my God."

Henry said aloud. Once he uttered those words, all the Gods, including Gore Traveegal himself, had their jaws dropped to the flor in surprise.

Aquardia: "A-are you sure you want Mr. Gory here as your God, Henry? You're a doctor right? Wouldn't it be better for you to have Zhizhi here as your Goddess instead?"

Goddess Aquardia said as she questions Henry's choice while she refers to Gore Traveegal and Zhitarine using the nick names she gave them.

Henry: "You're right in that remark, Goddess Aquardia, but God Gore Traveegal's flesh magic seems very useful in my opinion. To be able to make organs and body parts of people and other creatures would have helped me a lot back in our original world."

Henry said as he gives his honest opinion as to why he wants to represent the Flesh God.

Flazahar: "It may have been an amazing power back in your world, but in the battle field where you as a champion will have to fight the demonic forces it's as good as useless other than support magic. And if you think that you can make your own monster like summons with that magic, then you're mistaken"

Aquardia: "Flazy boy is right, Henry. Even monsters need a soul to move, and without a soul crystal, all you'll be making are lifeless dolls made of flesh and bones. Mr. Gory's powers are unbelievably useless in this situation, so you should just pick someone else, okay?"

Flazahar and Aquardia kept on admonishing Henry's choice of God to represent. Aquardia being overly hurtful as she belittled Gore Traveegal's powers. The Flesh God can be seen in the verge of tears from Aquardia's harsh words.

Henry: "Lord Gore Traveegal, can I ask you a question?"

Henry asked as he now addresses the Flesh God directly.

Gore Traveegal: "Y-yes. Go on."

Henry: "Is every living creature in your world carbon based lifeforms?"

Gore Traveegal: "Yes. Every single one is... Wait! You cant mean..."

Henry: "As much as I respect the opinions of all of the Gods and Goddess here, I personally feel that there are no such thing as useless skills. In fact, I will prove to the world just how powerful flesh magic can truly be. So, with that said, lord Gore Traveegal, will you accept me as your humble representative?

Henry declared aloud after his exchange with the Flesh God.

Gore Traveegal: "... Heh, I like you, kid. Alright. I, Gore Traveegal, here by accept you as my representative. You better not regret your choice."

The Flesh God replied to Henry's request with a bright smile, something that the other Gods have never seen him give anyone.

With disapproving looks and sighs from the other Gods, Zhitarine seemingly being the most disappointed one of them all, they had no choice but to accept Henry's decision

The rest of the selection went by without any disputes, as Melva, being the second one to pick, chose Zhitarine. San Gyun then followed and chose to represent Fabizaph. He was then followed by Victor, who chose Flazahar. And lastly Silvia, who chose Aquardia.

Whisperverg was not fazed for not being picked, but the same cannot be said for Herdious, who has slumped on the flor of the white void, crying over not being picked.

Zhitarine: "Well, now that our champions have chosen their Gods, I think it's about time we send you off to your new lives. I wish all of you a happy life, and good luck on your mission."

Zhitarine said as she address the champions for the last time as they all gather. As the Goddess of Light waved her hand to send the champions off, she glanced at Henry once more and smiled.
