Chapter 24

The clouds there was very mild and no clouds move a bit, there was no sun, only illumination made the clouds bright as day. Then I pondered on why they would say the Black Annis territory was a terror to behold, the firmament there was beautiful, the rainbows there in the clouds were two, intersecting each others. The unicorn went downwards and I wished we stayed up. The clouds came darker. The lighting alone could tear a creature in two, it was a great lighting and a big one. The rumbling could make a normal human being to deaf. The clouds was like a scarlet red. The droplets of waters that was coming from the clouds like rain was burning, hot like a boiler water. The unicorn flew very fast down. We got to a level where the rain stopped. The desolation of the place was massive. The brick houses that was demolished and the bones of creatures was all scattered on the floor.

"There is the ever burning fire." Kyar pointed to the fire that was burning, it seemed to me like that of the three Hebrews, since the fire was felt from our end, not too far from it, about half a kilometer away from us.

"Who made that stupid fire?" I asked in discontent. I pointed to it, while I kept my elbow close to my side. Kyar scoffed at the question.

"The same Black Annis, came down to this small town after her banishment from the Soul Kingdom to make this place a waste, she was a vengeful being, and a mischievous creature. She would do anything she want, to anyone, so she was caged in a certain place here, where she can't move out, but anyone else could. The magicians way of making her go into extinction and not a single tale of her was pass down to the coming generations except the warriors, because some of the warriors was brought here by her whisper, when she would appear to them in dreams and lure them here, promising them many golds and diamonds and power. And their bodies started to miss, they were found here with her, and that was why the tale was passed down to the warriors only, to guide themselves in their ways of lives." She stopped and held my chest, which made me felt the same feeling I felt earlier. I erased the feelings again. The place was very quiet, too quiet. No gushing wind like earlier and no crackling or cracking.

The place started to become darker, like a plain dark room, filled with smokes, and the stench was too bad for ones health, the stench was probably from a dead body, that just bursted. I held my mouth and nose together, Kyar seemed to be adapted to the smell. She just stood there, looking around and wasn't bothered by the smell, she walked towards and the place was filled with waters too. The smoke had covered the place.

"To whom do I own this visit?" Only a voice came by, talking in echo and the words vibrated through the place. The place became like tunnel, the only light that was there, was very far, just like the common sentence. "There is light at the end if the tunnel." I watched thought the darkness, the only thing that was visible was myself and Kyar. "Whoa!" The voice said again and cackled hardly and witchy. "The guardian of the end and his partner, Kyar the war lady. Impressive" she laughed and paused. Kyar was watching like a eagle, she was calm in the midst of my own terrifying moment. "I know you'll come looking for the person who was responsible for the loose of the demigods, who are ravaging some countries now, and wanting to end the world. You know only you could stop it. I would tell you who is behind everything." She paused.

"Shut your mouth and come out NOW!" I tried to scare it, which was abortive, she was silent, so as we.

"Who is behind this stupid war?" Kyar asked her in a milder way.

"If you want to know, you just have to heed to my request and you'll see." The witch's voice said again.

"How do you think we will trust you, a traitor for your words?" I retorted sharply.

"You haven't seen a lying witch before? Have you?" I was silent. "I can't promise you on a false tongue, just like they promised to take you back to your world." She cackled.

"What...?" I got weakened, saddened as my sword went in my hand again. I stood, watching Kyar who had turned around to look at me, she was sorry for it, it was in her face.

"I don't have time for your live story, I just want you too get me my desire." I got furious and sought for the witch, I left Kyar in her spot.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU HIDING? YOU ASSHOLE, STUPID WITCH." I yelled at nothing and brought out my sword, followed the directions of the words. I walked hastily, to the direction, in the aim of bringing the head of the witch down to my feet. As I walked along, Kyar waited behind.

I stopped at a place, about ten steps from where Kyar was. I was staring at the back of Kyar, she was behind me before, she was before me in just ten steps, I was baffled, how she could run pass me, without me knowing that. I walked calmly to her, she flinched and was a bit scared at the touch on her shoulder."oh wow! That was sooner than I expected." She said.

The witch laughed hard, the echo of her laughter was very loud. "Oh, what a dumb guardian. You should know you are in the den of a witch, who could do the mystery. You would abide by my rules or not?" She asked meanly.

"Let us hear what you need. And put an end to this." Kyar said.

"Always the women make a right decision. Now! You would bring me the RedCap. I am craving for the blood of the idiot."

"Oh, not the RedCap." Kyar was not okay with the request of the witch. "The RedCap has been a honest goblin all his life, he stayed in his abode and sacrifice only the people that trespasses." She said with sympathy.

"That is how you know him, well, I don't know him like that. All I know about him was his bad side, and it has always being like that, until this moment."
