Chapter 3.

Lauthel laid on the bed made with feathers. It was soft and puffy and very relaxing. So relaxing that Lauthel frowned a little when he finally woke up.

His eyes were heavy and he still felt very weak. The sunlight caught his eyes and he grunted then he tried sitting up in the bed but he seemed weak. However, he was eager to go and meet his family to tell them that he had survived.

The bed was hanging above a hot, boiling pot filled with leaves not to far from the ground level. The puffy bed made with feathers didn't shrink an inch as the hot vapor smoked it. When he finally opened his eyes, he noticed that the everything was different, -- the room was different.

"Shit!" He cursed. "What the hell is this? Where am I? HEY DYAN!!" He screamed at the top of his voice, but there was grave silence, after he screamed and he kept calm, thinking about where he could possibly be. No one would bring a world champion to a shrine for treatment with all the best hospitals out there.

“I'm surely dreaming, or what on earth is this?" He soliloquized for some time and his head was foggy. He couldn't think straight. He saw the place like a forgotten shrine of old witches.

“Wh... What are those" he aske himself starting strangely at the items hung around what seemed like a room. They looked surprisingly awkward. He didn't get up as he looked around observing the place.

A large tortoise-like animal was crawling slowly to the doorstep. “Geez! What's that" he mumbled in fear.

“Finally, you're awake sir?" the animal spoke to him and his eyes widened in shock. He was speechless. “Not this time” Lauthel slapped his face very hard to snap himself out of the dream. He took one of the long sticks that was lying beside him. He picked the stick up and touched the animal with it.

"Oh!" The animal moaned as Lauthel touched him with the stick. “Why did you do that Lauthel?" The creature said as he snorted.

“Gosh! How on earth do you know my name?" Confused Lauthel asked the creature. He couldn't believe his eyes and ears. An animal was talking to him. “How do you even know my name?”

“What are you talking about Lauth? Everyone knows Lauthel Kaul the head of the imperial army. Of Er-ethal, one of the biggest and advanced country in the world” the creature said. He was like an ogre.

“Wait... What's Er-ethal? What the hell are you talking about?" Lauthel frowned in confusion with a disgusted face as he mentioned the name of the country. “God, I am taking to an animal” he said whimpering deep down.

“How dare you call me an animal, Lauthel?" The ogre retorted sharply and angrily. “Oh, sorry man. Hahaha,” Lauthel said sarcastically as he mocked him.

“Don't beg me, you spoilt brat” The animal blotted out. “Ok, ok... This is still my dream and I have decided to be kind with you. So do have a name?" Lauthel asked softly although he still wanted to laugh.

“This is not a dream! And yes, I have a name, -- Reylei the great. I'm like this, because you love me in this form than the humans form” he said. “Oh! Maybe you should be in the humans form. I guess I'll love that more" Lauthel said with a victorious smile on his face, because according to him, he finally had control over his dream.

In a few seconds, Reylei the great, was already back in his human form. A tall 7feet guy. He looked fair and handsome with long golden hair.

“Wait, since when do you start loving this human form? You hated it so much” Reylie said in excitement and Lauthel started to think that maybe he had lost his mind.

"Hey buddy, will you now change to your human form, since you prefer it to our normal form."

"Wait... What? Am I not in my normal human form?" He asked Reylei.

"What are you saying? You have kept the form since childhood. Claiming you love it that way. Or have you lost it?" Reylei asked confusingly. And widened his eyes as he gazed on Lauthel more closer.

"Okay, WHAT!" he screamed as he felt furs on his face and body. He was clothed with a long robe that glitters. He rolled the hem of the robe up and checked his body parts, to be sure of what he is.

He couldn't believe that he was hideous looking beast. His hairy face contained there eyes, which one of them was in his forehead and was shut. His ears were longer like the avatars and his nose was a normal human nose. He touched and felt all part of his body and everything is way different. His teeth were all sharp, very strong and sharp too. As he came down from the floating bed, his head hit the glittering chimes that was hung up.

The dangling of the chimes, was very loud in his ears and he screamed in response. The room shook so hard that they had to grip on to something.

"Hey, be careful not to bring this storey building down."

"This is shit. What on earth is this?" Lauthel cried.

"What has come over you? I think I have to go call the doctor immediately" Reylei dashed out of the room in haste and came back in a few seconds with a blonde woman, still in her youth days. She was fair, elegant and endowed with beauty.

"What happened here?" The doctor asked as she stood in awe, looking dazzled in the small room, she looked around and turned to Reylei, who was beside her, who also stood in amazement.

"I left him here." Reylei muttered. He went to the bed where Lauthel slept in and he flipped the pillow, he scoured the bed vigorously and under the bed too. He went ahead to check the pots one after the other as he called out Lauthel's name.

"Where could he have went to so fast?" The female doctor asked plainly.

"I don't know. I left him here and went to call for you to check him up, since he was behaving strangely. I feared he might have developed amnesia or some sort of brainwash" Reylei said brokenly.

"It's okay Reylei, we just have to get some people to go search for him. Maybe he's undergoing some foggy-head situation. He might have start to develop a cloudy memory, since he was hit by one of the strongest magicians... He would be back, whenever he thinks straight, just give him some time"

"Oh spirit of the gods, please help my friend out of this, I don't want to loose anymore." Reylei said as a drop of tears rolled down his right cheek. "I would get some people to go in search of him with myself" he said to the doctor who was walking out of the room.

"Just make sure you don't make him angry or worrisome. He does need to be calm and be told the most painful and exciting moment of his life to jumpstart his memory." The doctor said last as she exit the room.

"Okay ma'am" Reylei aired.
