Chapter 9

THE NEXT DAY

It was dawn and when it was about 6am, a gong banged and the whole building shook, it was how the people get to know that it was time to wake up. Lauthel woke up, thinking maybe it was a war, that was about to start. He hid himself since he could only learn from his own perspective, and no one was present there in his room. After some minutes, Korth-ral walked into his room, he laughed as he saw lauthel hiding behind the wardrobe.

"Hey boy!" Korth-ral called out to him. Lauthel winced as he heard his name and seeing Korth-ral laugh, fading away. He knew things was in other. He picked a fine cloak and changed it with is night robe. His muscular body showed from the tight cloak arms. As they were going down the stairs. Lauthel ripped off the rattling little irons, tied to the hem of his trouser, as a design. The noise was getting him annoyed, so he ripped them off.

"Ohh God!" He lamented ad he raised his head and stood to continue walking down the stairs. The staircase was very long, as the house was a big one. The whole building would have been useful for a company. They got to the living room and took a seat for themselves.

"Why were you hiding when you heard the alarm this morning?" Korth-ral asked Lauthel.

"That alarm sounded like a bomb to me. I had to stay hidden to keep safe from bombs." Lauthel scoffed.

"And you think a bomb can kill you?"

"Who can not be killed by a bomb?" Lauthel smirked and rolled his eyes.

"Well, presently with the power you carry in you, you cannot be killed my a mere nuclear bomb. It was used years ago when the people from the unvarying earth came to wage war against us. It didn't even destroy our most feeble item." Korth-ral smiled.

"Okay, that's not supposed to be amusing. Please how can I change this form. I look like shit." He ruffled the hair on his leg to his feet. And looked up to Korth-ral unamused.

"Okay, but you look amazingly beautiful."

"I get it, you people love it this way, but my taste is way cool."

"That means, I would get you to the moonlight."

"Where's the moonlight?" Lauthel asked, confusingly.

"You will know there, When you get there. I have to eat firstly." Korth-ral called in Prishè and ask her about the food she had prepared for breakfast. The table wasn't filled that time and the food was not to Lauthel's taste. It was just bunch of cooked vegetables that didn't grow on earth. He demanded some other foods and later ate burger and milk.

The for to the place where Lauthel was to learn how to use his powers and know them too.

"Hello brethrens." Korth-ral greeted from outside the about 17feet tall door, made from iron and when it opened sideway, the thickness was about 7feet thick. Lauthel opened his mouth in awe as he saw that. He presumed that the building was to make refuge for people during wars, which was correct. The holy pyramid they call it.

"Hello brethren." A monk greeted them.

"Hey Mikorth, my grandson..." Korth-ral was saying and got interrupted by the monk, Mikorth.

"Has been affected by the foggy plague, I understand. And he's not your real son anymore, but he is still your son." Mikorth said as they walk through mist, which parted way for Korth-ral, Lauthel and Mikorth as they passed through. Movements could be heard in the room, but the route which they would go through, could only be seen by them, there was a thick mist in the room that the people inside couldn't see unless needed. Even the ground wasn't seen, they walked along as they spoke. Lauthel was walking slowly behind, twirling in amazement of the building and looking around maybe he would see something, he did wanted to walk through the mist, but there wasn't any clear path except the one that would lead him to Korth-ral and Mikorth. He gave up and followed them, though he still was looking up and down, maybe he would see some details of the room.

"What do you have to say to this Mikorth?" Worried Korth-ral asked.

"Well, this young man here still have the memories of our own Lauthel, and he can still remember his own past vividly. The strange Lauthel here is in control of the body and brain too. He can access our own Lauthel's brain and act like him, only if he wants to." Mikorth turned his head slowly to Lauthel's point and raised an eyebrow at him.

"Oh..." Lauthel scoffed and smiled at them. "You actually understand that I can remember well, that I have a family right? So, please let me go from here, back to where I came from, to take care of them. And firstly, change this physique. I don't want this form, this place, this country." Lauthel cried.

"You are in another world. This is another earth, just like yours, but different inhabitants and ecosystem." Korth-ral said. The three of them got to a door. The door opened itself and they entered into the room. It was like a library, there were many books there, floating all around, overhead. The three of them sat on a metal, huge chair, the paces between the chairs was about a 40 paces and the room was enormous, orchestra was playing solemnly in the background and the orchestral wasn't seen.

"You mean, I'm in a multiverse? Just like the movies, where there will be existence of many earths..." Lauthel said nervously.

"Yes." Mikorth continued. "And now you should stand, in the middle of that square shaped plate." Mikorth pointed to the hovering plate, that was glowing in the room. Lauthel stood up and walked directly into the center of it.

"Don't fight whatsoever you see, just see it as an illusion." Mikorth said.

"Wait, what will happen if I do fight it?" Lauthel asked nervously again.

"Nothing serious, you might not just be able to see again."

"Not serious indeed." Lauthel said sarcastically. He walked right into the middle of the plate. Everywhere went blank and dark.
