"LITTLE AMANDA SAVED YOUR FATHER"

"Woof.. Woof. ." Popsicle softly barked as Sindra and Orcus emerged into the unlocked door and ran towards them for a cuddle.

"Hey Nathan. . . we're home" Orcus called out as Sindra stroked Popsicle a sweet soft cuddle on her hairy fur.

Sindra bumped on the bed and stared for a while while Orcus stood at the door entrance looking up, down back and frony like he was investigating the house...

"Something wrong dude?" So stood up and asked.

"Hmm, something doesn't seem too right. ." Orcus could tell from the opened door to the halfway painted art fixed to a stand. He paced forward slowly towards the back door but stumbled on nothing! "Where'd he go?" He thought hardly.

"Hey Sindra, I can tell something feels wired, I don't know, maybe my instincts. . ." Orcus called out to his brother who was now gently following Popsicle to a lower deck of the house through an old creaky stairs. Orcus trailed quickly as well. Pacing as quietly as he could.

"I don't think we should go in there Sindra. ." Orcus timorously uttered as they got to a dark opening from which they could view a void empty space that led to where they couldn't tell.

Gently and pacefully they walked like they were embarking on a journey to....

"I've never been to this part of this cottage. . . Wonder what's in there. ." Sindra said trying to peep as hard as he could.

"Maybe we should go in?" He asked turning to Orcus.

"Nope, I'm not in! I'mma head right back up to the cottage and live in peace" fainthearted Orcus said as he took steps backwards and back to the sitting area going upstairs as fast as his legs could carry. Sindra had no choice but to go back with his brother. He really desired to know what was in there!

"You think there's something he's not telling us?" Sindra asked.

"I don't know, I trust him, but today has just been getting weirder. . ." Orcus retorted.

"We just sit here and wait till he arrives?" Sindra asked.

"Sounds like a great idea. . ." Orcus answered as he bumped on the soft bed in attempt to sleep off.

"Miss, your father's health is now in perpetual condition as proper treatments has been administered. Miss Frida, your father's health lies in your hands and your mom's. He is reacting to the slightest memory of his lost daughter, so, do well to eradicate any sign of these occurrences and be vigilant at all times! We veritably hope that in due time he gets over the loss of Amanda. Drugs will be prescribed to him as well as certain meals he must avoid!" Doctor Stoll said directly facing Frida who's emotions were understandable.

"Thank you Doctor. But I want to ask, realistically everyone has to their possible best gotten over Amanda's loss, then why does it still strongly reoccur in his mind?" Frida asked.

"Hmm. . . ." Doctor Stoll exclaimed, "your family has a long history about that here."

"What history Doctor?. ." Inquisitive Frida asked. Then quickly invited Jane into the room they were. Her best friend needed to know it all as well. The two sat, ready to listen as they both leaned off their seats and opened their ears.

Sitting back on his seat, the elderly Doctor started, facing the two in an airy atmosphere cleared his throat paving way for voice to freely pass through . .

"Your father instructed me not to reveal this to you until you're old enough, but at all cost, I must. I'm certain you're up to age. 15 years ago, your father Mr. Dawson was brought into our our hospital with an emergency situation! After running several tests, he was elucidated to have a disease of Renal Calculi, which had a very intense effect on his Kidney causing the left pair of this organ to have a dysfunction. Your father needed to have a renal surgery, replacing his sinister or left kidney."

Doctor Stoll sipped into his glass of purified water and continued.

"You were very little then when you came to visit Mr. Dawson in the hospital along with your mother. Your mother was not compatible and so was not able to have her kidney transferred."

"So, what happened?" Jane asked.

"A child who's mother abandoned here in the hospital did something extraordinary. Requirements for a kidney transplant requires the candidate to be over 18. But this girl who was just 10 years and who always sat beside your father kept pleading her kidney be used for the operation. I could vividly remember this little one crying saying "Doctor, you don't need to follow the rules, my kidney is two and I'm one. Please, I want him to survive. . ." She would plead. Her courage was the very reason she wasn't taken to an orphanage home. Little did we know that her blood type was compatible with your father's, making the possibility a little higher....!"

There was silence for about 10 seconds before Doctor Stoll continued.

"None of the doctors were ready to accept such a risky and life-threatening offer which made me take chances. I then transplanted this little girl's kidney into your father myself. It was the craziest and riskiest job I had ever and will ever do." The man took another sip and continued.

"After all operations were done successfully, your father decided to take in the little girl home. He named her Amanda. And he has always taken her as a father would take his daughter. That incident made me close to your father. Whenever I would come to pay a visit, the little girl always had a drawing for me on a sheet of paper. Amanda was the best daughter a man could ever own. Your dad told you your elder sister travelled and would soon be back. She was the one!"

Silence broke into the doctor's office without permission and lasted for a very long time.

Amanda and Jane were now open eyed and took turns wiping tears off their beautifully structured faces!!
