Greg frown at the unexpected interruption. “And who exactly are you?”

Ethan, on the other hand, was livid. “Grandpa, don’t waste your time on this bastard! And you, get lost! How dare you insert yourself into a conversation that’s way out of your league?!”

He glanced down, scrolling briefly. Titles flashed on the screen: Property Title Transfer Completed, Land Documents Under Leon Ashford, Business Holdings Confirmation… All of them bearing his name. He let out a quiet chuckle, shaking his head with a hint of arrogance. “It’s just easy, isn’t it? For me.” A short distance away, Jarvis emerged from the building, adjusting the sleeves of his coat. Leon turned his head and caught sight of him, then suddenly remembered something. “Ah, yes,” he said aloud, stopping Jarvis with a slight gesture. “I need you to meet with Donald Lancaster. He wants to build his own company.” Jarvis raised an eyebrow. “Donald Lancaster? The Lancasters again? I thought I already had a contract in the works with the family… his father.” Leon asked simply, “Has it been stamped?” Jarvis shook his head. “Well… not yet, but the deal was practically…” “Then change of plans,” Leon cut in dismissively. “The family wants to break apart, so instead of w

Ezekiel Gates burst out of his study like a man on fire and flung open the double doors of the meeting chamber, startling everyone inside. The room was full with dozens of figures dressed in white robes, seated around a long rectangular table, mid-discussion.All their murmurs halted“Ezekiel!” Seraphina, the woman seated at the head of the table, in her mid-thirties, shot up in alarm and anger. “You know you cannot interrupt while the Council is in session!”But Ezekiel was breathless, eyes wide, barely even aware of her rebuke. He was still holding the phone to his ear, hand trembling slightly as he spoke.“Azrael… I mean, Lord Azrael, the God of Dominion is literally on the phone… Seraphina, on call with me… right now…” He marched toward the center of the long table and placed the phone down like it was holy. All eyes turned to it.The room went still. Several members rose instinctively from their seats, jaws agape.Seraphina blinked. “What?” she muttered, her voice cracking sligh

Back to the present…At Pledis City…Leon wasn’t sure if he expected the news, but part of him had already known something like this was going to happen, considering how the congressman died in front of him.“I need to leave,” he said abruptly, turning to Old Master Hale without hesitation.“But wait… Lord Azrael…” the old man’s voice was laced with concern. “What about Ezekiel Gates?”Leon paused mid-step, the name snapping his thoughts back into focus. “Oh, that. Yes…”He returned to Old Master Hale’s bedside and pulled out his phone, offering it without much ceremony. “Put the number in here.”Old Master Hale blinked, surprised by it. “You… want to call him?”Old Master Hale blinked, momentarily taken aback. “You… want to call him?”Leon nodded. “Of course. Isn’t that how things work now? It’s amusing how this era makes communication too easy. In the past, you’d have to track someone across lands or wait weeks for a messenger.
