Isabella stormed into the house, slamming her handbag onto the couch and letting out a furious scream. It was already late, but Gerald, still awake, descended the stairs when he heard the commotion.

“Isabella, are you alright?” he asked, concern in his voice.

She turned to look at her father. Then she shook her head with a crying face. “No, Daddy, I’m not okay! Not even close!”

“What happened?” Gerald asked, then added, “And I heard about the celebration at Reign Hotel on the tenth floor. You must have seen it yourself... it’s all over the news.”

Isabella let out a bitter laugh and nodded. “Yes. I don't know how Leon did it, but it was him. He threw a birthday celebration for his new girlfriend, Diane Lancaster.”

Gerald was taken aback by it. “Isabella, what are you trying to say? That worthless boy? The one I used to chew out like nothing? He was nothing more than my punching bag! Hosting an event on the tenth floor? You must be joking.”
