From Nothing to Powerful Heir

Chapter 2

"Looks like we'll have to put this bastard in jail. He's been making a scene here!" Gaston looked fiery.

"You have to pay compensation for me. I've won the contract for you, you can't throw me away like this." All this time, Nolan had always maintained his demeanor in front of Gaston, respecting him like a superior. But for now, not anymore. He was already making it harder.

Gaston looked at him with anger. He walked over and pushed Nolan's body hard. After falling down, Gaston kicked him hard in the head. "Fuck off. You have no business here. Go back home and wait for the police to arrive."

The woman from before walked over. She was staring at the riot that was going on. "What's going on?"

Gaston stared at the woman who had just arrived.  which caused him tommediately change his facial expression. "Miss Jessy, what are you doing here?"

Gaston knew who the woman was. She had a very high position in the Welles Property company. Everyone knew that she had power and position number 8 in her city,  so Gaston immediately  maintained a good attitude in front of her.

Gaston smiled at Jessy, looked at her kindly, and ignored Nolan, who fell down. "You don't have to worry, miss. It's just a small matter."

Jessy frowned. She knew something wasn't right here. "Actually, I was just going to the Emerald Company, and I accidentally saw this commotion. That's why I'm here."

Gaston forced himself to smile kindly at Jessy. "I'm sorry for the mess, Miss Jessy. You don't need to care about it. It's not a big deal. I'll deal with it soon."

Jessy's gaze returned to the fallen Nolan. She noticed that Nolan's forehead was bleeding. So she was sure this was no small matter. "What happened to him?"

Looking back at Gaston, Jessy asked for an explanation. "Isn't he your employee? Why is he being treated like this?"

Jessy's face turned more serious. "He was injured, and you should have helped him."

Gaston shook his head. He laughed a little at Jessy's words. "Unfortunately, he is no longer an employee here."

"He does deserve that treatment. All this time, he's never done his job well and is completely irresponsible. Last time, he made such a big mistake, that he had to be fired, but he asked for something unreasonable here." Gaston's gaze fell on Nolan, who had just gotten up.

Nolan wiped the blood from his forehead. "He told a lie." Nolan said it firmly, making Jessy immediately look at him.

"I've been doing a good job all this time. Even the work, I did it."  Nolan's breathing was quick. , and his angerade the blood in his body flow quickly.

Gaston didn't want Nolan to say more things to Jessy. Gaston pulled his body and slapped him hard. "Shut up! You talk too much. No one will listen to you."

Gaston knew that Nolan was a weak man. Even during this time, he was always silent when humiliated or degraded. The man looked like he had no self-respect just because of money.

Gaston raised his hand and pointed at the road. "Better get your feet out of here fast."

Nolan gave him a sharp look. His hands were clenched into fists. This was too much. "You have to give me my money. I really need it for my father." Nolan urged him. This was Nolan's only hope of getting the money.

Jessy raised her eyebrows, looking at Gaston with a serious face. "You're really dumping this guy?"

Gaston ignored Nolan, his gaze fixed on Jessy, who demanded an answer. Without hesitation, he nodded his head. "Yes, because this man is not important at all. He is no longer needed here."

Gaston pointed at Lonan. His gaze looked very dismissive. "If we get involved with a shameless person like this, then he will definitely destroy us."

Gaston said it with confidence. He had successfully fooled Nolan and secured a big cooperation project. And, of course, after this, he no longer needed Nolan.  

In his opinion, a man like Nolan deserved to be thrown away. He is so stupid and easy to take advantage of. And now, Gaston was confident that he could work alone without Nolan. After all, he didn't need to waste money paying the stupid Nolan.

Jessy, meanwhile, looked full of anger. She immediately grabbed Nolan's hand and pulled him away. Until this moment, Nolan was right beside her.

Without looking at Nolan, the woman spoke firmly. "Well if you throw him away, then he's for me!" Jessy said out loud. Jessy's words certainly surprised everyone who was there.  especially Gaston.

Gaston knew that Jessy held a high position at Welles Property and was a woman from a famous family.

Of course, this raises a big question in Gaston's heart. The man sharpened his gaze at Jessy. "Why? Why do you want that useless man?"

"As I said before, he's never done a good job, and you'll only receive trouble when working with this man." Gaston tried to burn into Jessy's heart, wanting her to reconsider. "It was the wrong decision."

"Miss Jessy, I hope you don't want to get into any trouble, right?" Gaston pressed that point to Jessy.

Gaston glanced irritably at Nolan. He didn't want Nolan to influence that woman. Afterward, he looked back at Jessy. "Miss, he is a liar and a thief. What if he's going to commit a data theft at Welles Property?" Gaston smiled sarcastically as he tried to influence Jessy.

Jessy knew that everything Gaston said was a lie. In fact, Jessy knew that Nolan had obtained all the projects. Jessy also knows that Nolan is a smart and hardworking man. It was very stupid when they decided to dump Nolan. Jessy even had time to look for information about Nolan.

Jessy smiled, looked at Gaston then glanced at Nolan. "How yes... I have fallen in love with him."

Jessy deliberately said that she even tilted her head slightly, giving a smile to Gaston with emphasis.

Meanwhile, Nolan was very surprised. "What?" He couldn't believe what he was hearing from Jessy.

Neither did Gaston. The man rounded his eyes. Didn't expect that sentence to be heard from the mouth of a classy woman like Jessy. She was a woman of high power. She could get a man much bigger than herself, but how could she say she loved Nolan?

"What? Did I hear it wrong?" Gaston shook his head, trying to deny what he heard from Jessy.

Gaston rubbed his ears. "Apparently, I have to go to the doctor to have my ears checked. This can't be, can it?" He chuckled.

Jessy tilted her lips, and she shook her head with her stern eyes. "I'm telling the truth if I really love him."

Then, Jessy looked at Nolan. The man was still ficonfused, but Jessylled his hand away. "Come with me now."

Nolan looked at Jessy intently; he couldn't say anything, but in the end, Nolan followed her.
