Mr Scott didn't like the way Logan was handling the matter. He wanted Logan to cry and beg for another chance. "What stupid salary? You're not going to get a single dime."

This was something Logan couldn't tolerate. Even if the salary was nothing, it didn't change the fact that he worked for it, he took out the trash, skipped meals, and tolerated a lot of insults just to get paid. He wouldn't take it lying down. "Since you've decided to not pay me, I'll be taking the matter up with the general manager."

The supervisor man waved Logan off with his hand. “Do whatever you want. Now get out of here and don't show your face to me again, unless you want your  co-workers to throw you out of here."

Logan went straight to the manager to report the matter but found that the man was in support of what Mr Scott did to him. Logan then threatened to report the manager to the human resources department. This made the manager so angry that he called security.

“You've messed up big time, you good-for-nothing bastard.” The manager said in anger, “This is going to be the worst day of your life.”

Logan was dragged out of the building after being beaten. Even after he was thrown outside, several security officers and janitors were still punching and kicking  him. Some even laughed as they did it.

“Hey, Logan.” One of  the janitors called, “Since you don't work here anymore. We’ll be taking your uniform.” They began to tear and strip him of his uniform, almost leaving him naked. Logan looked down on his torn and battered uniform, he grew angry and frustrated but didn't let it show.

"How could you all do this to me?" He asked in a low voice, "We've worked together for years and this is how you decide to treat me?"

They looked at one another and then burst into laughter.

“Just shut up, man.”  One of the older janitors said to him. "Ever since you started working here, the female cleaners stopped paying attention to us. They used to be all over us but it stopped when you started working here!" He angrily spat and punched him hard. "To them, our looks are nothing compared to yours."

Logan almost laughed at that. Ever since he started working at Synergy, the female cleaners had been all over him, trying to get his attention. He resisted them and even told them how he was married but these ladies didn't care and still kept making moves on him. They would even flirt with him in the open but he always ignored them. How was that his fault?

"Is this really the reason you all hate me? Because of women who I have no interest in? Are you all insane?" Logan stood up, clenched his fists and was ready to fight back.

"Enough with the chatting and get that scum away from here!”  Mr Scott angrily shouted when he heard the commotion.

"Is this fool still here?" Don't you idiots know how to do your jobs well?" A tall man with  sharp eyes and wearing a suit came out with his two hands on his back. It was Jared Fisher, the manager who ignored Logan's complaints and ordered the security men to throw him out.

"You!" Logan raised a finger and pointed it directly at Jared. "Mark my words, I'm going to make you pay for what you did to me."

Jared chuckled amusingly,  "I would love to see you try. You worthless imp."

Logan said no more as he brought out his battered phone. They looked at him in confusion, wondering who he was calling. “Ooh, I'm so scared.” One of the janitors joked and the others laughed. What they didn't know was that he was calling Alfred.

He pointed at each one as he talked."The Bright smuggling network is finished. They lost their last major port contact yesterday. The guy walked away, there was no warning."Logan picked up one of the papers and scanned it. "That means the remaining goods are being seized."Luke nodded. The one Gordon hired first, they just withdrew. Cited conflict of interest."Logan leaned back in his chair. "That doesn't happen unless someone made them.""That's what I thought. So I traced it, soomeone made an anonymous payment. It was much larger than Gordon's budget. Enough to make the firm walk away."Logan was quiet for a moment. "Who?""I can't trace the payment. It came through multiple shell accounts. But someone spent a lot of money to cut Gordon's resources."Logan's expression hardened. "The real player. They're cleaning the board, cutting Gordon's tools and making him weaker."Scott paused. "That doesn't make sense. If the real player is pulling Gordon's strings, why weaken him?""Because Gordon is becoming a liability. He's too emotional and too reckless. The real player wants control, G
