But when Ruddy caught it. He shot her a deadly glare. “Stop it.” He then turned to the guards. “Take her out of her and make sure she doesn't return to the mansion.” He commands.

Without hesitation, the guards obliged, dragging her out of the room.

Austin witnessed the incident, and he then walked towards Mr. Zachary. Placing his hands on his warm chest. “Your master was poisoned. And he doesn't have enough time.”

“Poison! How?” Ruddy gasped in extreme shock. “What should we do. What do you need, name your price.”

Austin shook his head, “I need some of your men to leave, three of you would be good..” He said with his voice barely above a whisper.

Ruddy averted his gaze. “You Heard him.”

The men exchanged glances as they all left Austin, Ruddy and two other guards.

Austin exhaled softly, as he watched his hand in the bowl in the middle of the room. He exhaled slowly; Austin had spent years learning this technique from his previous master.

He reached into his satchel and pulled out a small, wooden case. While he flipped it open, a row of thin, sterile acupuncture needles gleamed under the dim light. His hands moved with practised precision, selecting three. He pressed the first one into a point just below Zachary’s ear, the second into the inside of his forearm, and the third at the top of his sternum.

Zachary's men tensed as Austin worked, their fingers tightening on their weapons. They didn’t understand. They saw a dying man and a doctor who wasn’t using conventional means to save him. But Austin didn’t need their understanding, he only needed results.

As the needles found their mark, Austin placed his palm against Zachary’s chest. His eyes slid shut, and he inhaled deeply. With controlled focus, he directed his energy through his palm, sending a steady, warm pulse into the mafia boss’s body. It was not dramatic or flashy, with no glowing lights and no mystical sounds, but internally, the shift was immediate.

Zachary’s laboured breathing evened out slightly. His fingers twitched. His body, previously rigid with pain, seemed to slacken as if his nervous system was recalibrating itself.

Austin remained focused. He guided his energy carefully, like a current of water flowing through the cracks of a dam, clearing blockages, pushing the poison toward Zachary’s extremities so it could be expelled. The mafia boss coughed violently, his body reacting to the treatment. A fine sheen of sweat coated his skin as his body worked to purge the toxin.

One of the guards stepped forward. "What the hell is he doing?"

Another held up a hand. "Wait. Look at the boss."

Austin removed the first needle, then the second, and finally the third. Zachary gasped, sucking in a deep, clear breath. His eyes fluttered open, sharp and aware, though exhaustion lined his face.

Austin leaned back, exhaling. "You’ll feel weak for a few hours, but the worst has passed. Your body will flush out the rest naturally. Drink water. Rest. No alcohol for at least a day."

The guards exchanged glances. Their leader was alive, sitting up, looking around. Zachary swallowed, testing his own strength before fixing his gaze on Ruddy. There was suspicion, but also something else but curiosity.

“How are you feeling, Boss” Ruddy asked, with a hint of happiness.

“I am fine. Where am I?” He asked, looking confused.

Ruddy exhaled, and he let out a soft smile. “I brought you to a great healer. You were poisoned And he helped restore your health.”

"What did you do to me?" Zachary rasped.

Austin smirked as he packed up his tools. "Just used what I’ve learned."

Zachary’s eyes darkened. "You’re no ordinary doctor."

Austinsimply slung his bag over his shoulder. "I never claimed to be.”

The two guards smiled seeing the face of their master. They thought they had lost their boss but Austin healed him.

The two men bowed their heads when Austin walked past them towards the bow.

“Wait,” Zachary called. “What's your price? Give him any favour he asks for. He saved my life.”

Austin was silent; He narrowed his gaze at his cleaner, that has been mute all this while. Then shifted his gaze towards Zachary and his men.

Ruddy stepped forward with a cheque. “Take this.” He said.

“I don't need your money, you owe me a favour.” He said.

“Since you don't want money, I will give you my protection. You can call me whenever you want. And you if ever need money. I will be available to help.” Zachary was serious with his words.

Austin gave him a light nod.

Ruddy and the men help their boss to his feet. Zachary didn't forget to bow his head before Austin. His men stared at him in disbelief.

They had never seen their boss bow to anyone not even the most influential families in the city.

“Remember, what I said earlier. You need to rest and avoid alcohol for a day.”

“Yes, I understand. But I will need to find the fool that poisoned me.”

Zachery and his men left the room, Austin heard the jubilation from the men outside the moment they saw their boss in good shape.

Austin sighed in relief and turned to his Cleaner, “Why are you here, Charlie? You should get going. You will be late for your class.”

Charlie nodded, He felt excited seeing his master win. Austin is not only his master but his mentor. He had come to love the man who took him in when he had nowhere to go. Austin even paid his tuition f*e, and he promised to return the favour in future.

Monica was fully prepared for a meeting with the chairman of Jerold's enterprise. She had anticipated this for a long time. If the deal goes through, it will not only boost the profit of her company but also will make them among the best.

She wore a black gown that hung above her knees, revealing her curvy figure. Her hair cascaded down her shoulder, with a light makeover which she applied.

The doorbell rang as Gerald walked inside with a smile across his lips.

“Good morning, Mrs. Sarah.” He greeted as he stopped a mile away from Monica.

“Good morning, Gerald.”

Gerald was lost for words when he stared at the beautiful lady before him. Monica is not only known for her hard work in the office but also among the beauty queens in the city.

“Hope you are ready.” He managed to speak.

“I am a bit nervous, I don't know if I would even get to meet the chairman.” She has doubts.

“You should be positive, Monica. This is the opportunity we have all been waiting for. Jerold is not a small company; if we get a deal with them, it will be a good sign of progress for us.” Mrs. Sarah said, trying to cheer her daughter up.

Gerald smiled, “You don't have to worry; my father has the chairman's number; I can talk to him to help you.” He said shoving out his phone and dialling his father's number.

“Gerald is here to help, you have nothing to be worried about. His family is connected.”

He moved away from Monica and her mother, as his father answered the call. “Hello, Dad. I need your help, can you contact the chairman of Jerold to help Monica get a deal.”

His father's voice went from calm to filled with rage. “Are you nuts, we both know how we have been trying desperately to secure a deal with them and instead of you to come up with an idea, you are asking me to help you get a deal with them.”

Before he could utter a word the call got terminated, leaving him in embarrassment. He managed to faint a smile, knowing they didn't hear his conversation.

“It's fine, he will help you out.” Gerald lied.

“That's good news, everything is settled.“

When they arrived at the entrance, Monica walked into the building, While Gerald waited for her in his car. His heart was mixed with several thoughts.

Knowing if she fails to secure a deal with them, it would ruin his reputation. They might see him as a jerk.

Monica was sitting across the desk from the chairman of Jerold, James Clark.

“I have gone through your proposal and I must say you did a good job.” He said. “ Hold on, I will be right back. The chairman excused himself. As he made a phone call.

While Austin was alone, he used his time to meditate and practice.

The buzzing of his phone distracted him; He glanced at a phone screen for a moment before answering.

“I am listening?” Austin said.

The called exhaled slowly. “Master Austin, Your fiancée came to the office today regarding the partnership deal. Should I give it to her?”
