CHAPTER 144

Without hesitation, Ryan grabbed Elizabeth by her arms and pulled her close to himself in just a nick of time. The car zoomed past them, missing both Ryan and Elizabeth by a mere inches. The tyres screeching against the pavements.

The driver stopped looking through the rearview mirror, he hit the steering wheel in disappointment and zoomed off immediately, when he noticed the restaurant security was coming closer to him. He had failed to hit his target.

“Stop him, Stop him,” Ryan screamed at the security to stop the driver but he was too fast. Ryan narrowed his eyes as he took note of the car’s license number. He crammed the number into his memory, as he was determined to report or find the reckless driver.

The driver drove out of sight before the guards could spring into action.
