The Voss family house is a monolithic testament of power and wealth descending from their ancestors. A Giant chandelier the size of a car threw light on the expensive marble giving the ambiance a comfortable and warm look, but the tension that hung in the air was too thick to be dissected by an ice.
Darius Voss sat on a wheel chair now, his legs stiff and useless with heaps of bandage wrapped around it with a brace holding fractured bone in place. He boiled in anger. Across the room, his father, Mr. Magnus Voss stood in front of the four huge securities with hands crossed behind his back. Anger was visible in his expression and entire room felt it. The four bodyguards knelt before him, their head dropped, shoulder slumped, face marked with cuts inflicted by Knox in the club. But Magnus Voss didn't care about all that. Someone had just crippled his son and the sheer weight felt like a physical slap. The Voss family is untouchable. No one comes for them unless they're prepared for grave consequences. "I was at the Bar discussing business with some new investors," Darius started, twisting the actual story. "then they came inside invited— two of them and started hitting everyone. I was able to hit down one of them—" he paused for a second, allowing his false achievement to settle. "— the second man was trapped me..I could have killed him right there—" "But you didn't." Magnus Voss cut through his words. He looked at him in dissatisfaction. "Three months in the training ground and you couldn't handle two men." "Dad," Darius shifted in his seat. "I did my best." "And you ended up beaten by one man. I didn't bring you up to fall, Son." Silence. Darius boiled on his seat, his finger tightening around the wheel armrest. He wanted his father to praise him already, but Magnus Voss is a man who built his empire on authority, power and blood. And Darius had always wanted to prove his father wrong because he believed he was weak, he wanted to show him he was better then his elder brother and if at the end the empire is going to be Inherited, he'll get the lion share. Magnus Voss looked at the men at his feet. "And you couldn't do anything you bunch of fools," He scowled. "I paid you dummies to protect him." He landed a kick to one. The man dropped to the floor and scrambled back to spot again. The biggest one who confronted Jaxon first said, his voice cracking. "We did our best Master.....we tried to protect the young master but the man was extraordinary...." His head snapped up. "Just one punch. One punch and he sent the young..." "Shut the fuck up you pathetic loser!!" Darius cut him off before his mess got rattled. He rolled the wheelchair forward to face his father. "Dad, they're useless. Get them fired. I don't need protection. I don't need to stupid guards who's only big for nothing!" The men gasped in shock and fear. They scrambled at the Master's feet, pleading in a rush. "Master please forgive us.. please... don't get us fired. We have never failed. We've never failed you.." They pleaded. Magnus Voss didn't react. His eyes was void of everything but anger. He knew Darius had spinned the actual story even though he had no proof. These four men were specifically selected from his boxing club to bodyguard Darius after he'd tested their strength. One man defeating them sound ridiculous. Maybe they were drunk at that moment everything happened since it happened in a bar. He thought. "If I ever get you drinking liquor again," he pointed at them. "I'll kill you with my bare hands and feed your bones to my vulture." He took two stepped closer, glaring down "And I give you 48hrs. 48hrs to find that man and bring him to this place alive. He'll apologize to my son before I decide his fate." Their head snapped, hesitation flickering like they'd just heard a death sentence. "Sir—" Magnus narrowed his eyes. "You want to refuse?" His voice dropped to a dangerous level. "No..no sir..." "Get out!" "Thank you sir...thak you, Sir." The four bodyguards stumbled out Lounge. The door clicked shut. Magnus Voss turned away from his son facing the wall, his chin slightly raised, his hands crossed behind his back. "Your wedding with Sinclair's first daughter is in a few weeks." He said, "You know what that means to this family?" Darius pushed his wheel closer. "The Sinclair needs us." Magnus Voss spun back to his son, his expression cracking with anger visible. "We destroy them" He growled, glaring at his son dangerously. His voice cut through the air like thunder. "You're not there for love. You're marrying her to take everything the Sinclair built!" Silence descended heavily. He walked to the Bar tucked into the corner of the Hall gently, pulled out a bottle of expensive Champagne— Dom perignon, and poured into a glass cup with steady hand. Darius wheeled behind him. Magnus Voss sipped from the glass and set the cup down, twisting his lips slightly like the liquor was bitter. "Let me tell you a story, Son."Latest Chapter
Chapter thirteen: Just destroy them
Magnus Voss sipped from the red wine that looked like blood under the harsh Bar light, twisting his expression slightly in bitterness that wasn't influenced by the Don perignon, but a past that was still hurting him till this moment. He sat the class down on the sleek counter with a gentle clink. "Let me tell you a story," He said, turning to look at his son on the wheelchair. Darius's eyes hinted with curiosity."Twenty years ago," Magnus started quietly. "I and George, were friends. Not really friends. More like acquaintances. We met during an interview at Montgomery Group headquarters. We were both broke, chasing software gigs, struggling to make a living. We were there for just one post. Competitive seat. The CFO. They needed a new brain. Someone who could catch up quickly after they lost the last CFO in an accident."He paused, allowing his narration to settle. He picked the Glass wine again and sipped, leaving Darius to wallow in curiosity."What happened next, Dad?" And he was

Chapter eleven: Prepare for War
The gift arrived on his desk at exactly seven O' Clock in the evening inside an ornate box covered in blood. Elder Ezno delivered it. He wasn't looking like himself— a bandage curled around his neck, hanging his arm uselessly while his back hunched, stiff by injury that broke something supportive inside that would take a while to heal.Even at his level of cultivation, he couldn't heal broken bones easily and maybe his pride too which had been shockingly battered by a young man he'd underestimated.Daniel Monroe loomed over the desk in a dim Ambiance that was his underground base — the Bloody eyes operation base. He stood at six feet six, a beast wearing human skin. Everything about him was intimidating and oppressive from weather-beaten face to the scars marking his face like insignias, a stark reminder of the wars he'd walked through and came out a conqueror. His eyes steady on the tab in his hand displaying Jaxon walking into the Grand Hall after sweeping securities off their feet
Chapter ten: Back for Blood
************************Jaxon didn't stand down. His fist cut through the air, coming straight at Elder Ezno's to counter the attack. The collision was destructive immediately their fist collided sounding off like a radioactive explosion.Waves of energy burst from the impact. The effect vibrated the entire hall— balloons burst, the force picked up tables and chairs, slamming it against the wall, chandeliers wobbled on the ceiling, throwing chaotic light before Crystals burst shattering glasses to the floor. Elder Enzo stumbled back several feets loosing his feet on the ground and slamming against the sharp edge of the stage. A sharp crack echoed of something breaking that was possible spine sounded from his back.Silence fell over the Hall. The old man stayed on the floor. He couldn't move, eyes widened in horror and shook like he hadn't expected the outcome of his attack."What...what are..." Blood spurted his mouth, smearing over his robe.He tried to push himself up the floor b
Chapter nine: Anyone who stepped in the way
"Let me deal with the bastard!" The bridegroom, Mason Goldwyn heir of the Goldwyn house, operating secret drug business barked. He'd been watching Jaxon speak to Elder Enzo like he put everyone of them in the hall."Securities!!!" He roared."Stop barking," Jaxon said, his voice flat. "They're all dead." Jaxon said flatly."What—" Mason gasped, eyes wide in shock.Elder Ezno's expression cracked in mild surprise. He didn't speak. He simply gestured at a male servant nearby and whispered to his ear."Go and check."The servant nodded and ran out to check. In the following minute, he ran back into the hall with a different speed and stopped before Elder Ezno, shaking with fear as though he'd just seen ghost. He didn't speak instantly. He couldn't. His breathing was heavy and fast, sweats suddenly pouring from his temple as fever without symptoms struck him, the air conditioning blowing on him hot air."Dead dead..." His voice cracked. "..dead bodies..they're outside... everywhere.""W
Chapter eight: His entrance ii
The double door of the Grand Hall tore off clean from the hinge, flying across the room, slamming into tables close to the front row— guests got hit and injured, tables skidded with metal before throwing away expensive plates and bottles of wine that shattered and exploded in the air and raining liquor and sharpnels. The crowd screamed, staggering away from the chaos in a tangle of limp and heels, those who were unlucky slipped and fell, those laughing before the entrance were frightened now. Blood pooled over the floor with wine. No one was standing. The couple, earlier dancing at the front stilled under the spotlight, looking at everyone scrambling in the hall like they were watching real-time action movies or the prelude before a zombie apocalypse kicked into full clutter."What is going on?" The bride in white gown, a replica of Daniel Monroe's face asked with narrowed eyes, her expression tight.Jaxon's entrance was already Terrific enough. But he was just starting. He stepped t
