Chapter 5: A YOUNG MASTER

Miguel watched in awe at the men lined up at the front of the hospital,

He couldn't believe his eyes, was Rain telling the truth?, He was still in disbelief, how can he, a nobody with the worst luck suddenly turn out to be someone important?, It just seemed impossible.

Miguel went back to bed when he saw Rain enter the hospital again, a moment later, she entered the room and left him some clothes.

“Once you are done dressing up, come outside, I will be waiting for you” she said with a smile, Miguel could only nod. When Rain closed the door, he grabbed the clothes feeling the soft fabric on his fingers, these were the types of clothes he only dreamed he could wear,

He quickly got dressed wondering how Rain had managed to get his exact size,

He quickly walked out of the ward room and found Rain in the hallway speaking on the phone,

She was telling someone that we would arrive by 11pm. When she hang up the call and turned around, she found Miguel behind her looking at her

“You clean up pretty well, how about we prepare you for your family?” She asked with her usual smile

“Prepare me?” A clueless Miguel asked

“Yes, we start by going to the Barber shop” she suggested. Miguel was aware of how unkept he looked, and was suddenly self-consious , He had been so busy that he hadn't cut his hair in 3 months which made it overgrow to shoulder length.

After leaving the hospital, Rain took Miguel to one of the most expensive barber shops around, Miguel couldn't help feeling overwhelmed.

“I was wondering, how rich is… sorry” he quickly corrected himself, “how rich was my biological father?” He asked, Rain put her phone aside

“I was surprised when you said you haven't heard of Ray Romans before” she admitted

“Who is he?” Miguel asked

“Your father was one of the world's best Tech Billionaire. He owns over 100 companies world wide. He has three children including you. His first son is Leo Romans, my husband, he is only a year older than you and you have a young brother, Mateo Romans” Rain explained. 

“Do i have the same mother with my brothers?” He asked, Rain nodded

“Yes” she answered but didn't say anything more about his mother leaving him disappointed, he wanted her to say something about her, anything.

“How is my family in general?” He asked, since they were stinking rich, he wondered what their personalities where like, from what he knew, most rich people were horrible.

“Leo is sturborn and sometimes Ruthless but am sure you will bare with him. Mateo is a sweetheart, you will like him the most, the person you are supposed to be worried about should be your grandmother, Lady Alice “

“Lady Alice?” Miguel repeated

“That old woman is the center of everything and is hard to deal with but am sure everyone will be nice to you” She assured him

“Look at you, you look a lot like Ray now that you are all cleaned up” she commented. Miguel looked at his reflection in the mirror, he looked different, in a good way. His beard was trimmed and his hair was an appropriate size. his clothes?, well his clothes made him look rich.

He wondered if he would fit in just fine when he met his family, he didn't want to be hopefully because that usually left him disappointed.

“Let's go” Rain said and lead the way after paying.

Miguel couldn't help looking behind amazed at the many cars following behind them which attracted a lot of attention from the people all around town as they drove away

“Do they follow you wherever you go?” She asked, Rain laughed casually

“No. But you are the young master of the Romans family so of course I had to carry as many guards as possible” she told him,

“Here” she said, Miguel turned to her only to find her handing him a box which contained a New phone

“Am sure I didn't give you enough time to carry your phone” she said, Miguel looked at the box and held it like it was something precious

“Thank you” he said, Rain waved her hand off with a laugh

“You dont need to thank me, am sure once you settle in, you will be able to get yourself a better phone of your liking “ she said but Still Miguel couldn't help being thankful, this was the first time someone had bought him anything out of free will.

“You didn't speak of my Mom” he pointed out opening the box which contained the phone, he was surprised at how at easy it was for him to speak to Rain. Rich People he knew often acted like brats but she seemed different.

Rain let out a sign“ To be honest,Your mother and I don't see eye to eye, but am sure she will be glad to see you” the way she spoke it made it seem she didn't want to talk about his mother so he dropped the topic.

“You refused to answer my question a while back”

“What question?” Rain asked briefly looking at him

“How did you find me?” He reminded her, if his family was as rich as it appeared, surely they would have already found him a long time ago

“Look, our private jet is waiting for us” Rain said just as the car stoped, Miguel had a feeling she was avoiding his question, nevertheless, he followed her out of the car.

“What of your security?” He asked wondering how almost 20 men where going to fit in the jet

“They will follow in another jet which is already on its way” Rain answered,

“Another jet?” Miguel was curious to know just how rich his family was. Looking at the private jet as they climbed the stairs, he saw the initials R which he assumed meant Romans, was this going to be his life now? He found himself excited and scared at the same time. He was excited to finally be able to experience what he assumed would be a soft life and scared that his family wouldn't like him or welcome him.

“ Are you nervous?” Rain asked when the

“Don't be” she said with a reasuring smile…
