Briana returns home after visiting Luana's apartment.

Regis greets her with reverence. "Good evening, Mrs. Ferro. Your husband is waiting for you in the master suite."

"Hmm... Should we have dinner first?" Briana jokingly asked.

Regis blushed to the roots of his hair. "He didn't inform me of the details, madam. But dinner is being prepared with great care."

"Okay, I'm going upstairs. Tell Julian to keep up the great work." Briana winked and went up the stairs.

She entered the master suite and found a bouquet of red roses on the king-sized bed.

Overwhelmed, she melted and picked up the bouquet, inhaling the scent of the roses.

Mark emerged from the closet, grinning widely, dressed in comfy loungewear.

"Darling, good evening."

"A little gift so you never forget me," Mark declared romantically, moving closer and kissing her cheek genuinely.

Briana felt shivers run down her spine.

This is the sweet and romantic man who would later make her scream and cry in bed at three in the mo

The following morning, the suite at the Régio Hotel bore no trace of the carefree mischief that had defined Mark the night before.Lord Ferro stood transformed, clad from head to toe in a fine linen suit, a tailored vest, and, pinned with precision to the right side of his chest, one of his military decorations from the Army of Aurelia.Vargas could hardly contain his pride. This was the man he knew, the commander restored to his rightful bearing.“Lord Ferro,” Vargas said warmly, “here you are, in your true element.”“Thank you, Vargas.” Mark’s tone was crisp, already sharpened by duty. “How are things back in Braspolis?”“Regis informed me that Lady Ferro requested to go to Miss Soares’s apartment, intending to reprimand her. It appears they are no longer on friendly terms.”Mark clenched his jaw. Everything seemed to be unraveling in his absence! The doorbell rang. Mark remained standing, composed, while Vargas went to open the door.Stepping in was Anderson Bretti, president of th

A shiver ran through Luana. Karl had already suspected as much. “Brie agrees entirely. But Mark called Karl to complain about what he did. He wants, at all costs, to protect his ex-wife.”“That won’t end well,” Mary Ellen murmured.“Exactly. But Brie will handle her husband. He’s far too valuable.”Mary Ellen smiled. “Well, I’m glad your engagement survived Celia the Cursed’s schemes. Goodnight, my friend. Sleep with the angels.”“I’ll be sleeping with one very handsome, well-built angel!” Luana replied with a laugh. Both women chuckled before ending the call. But as soon as Mary Ellen set down the phone, her smile faded. She leaned back against her headboard, picked up the tablet, and stared at the paused drama. Her finger hovered over the play button, yet she didn’t press it.“Briana, be careful with Celia,” she whispered.Only after a deep breath did she finally resume the show, her smile returning, though her thoughts lingered elsewhere.******In the suite of the Régio Hotel, Mar

  • Chapter 787 A Show in the Pool

Nadir shook with laughter so hard she waved her hands and stamped her feet. Finally, she rose, deciding to get some air on the balcony. But when she stepped outside, her eyes locked on a startling sight.Down below, Julian was still swimming in the pool — completely naked. His powerful strokes cut through the water like those of an Olympic athlete. Even at a distance, it was obvious he wasn’t wearing a swimsuit.Heat coursed through Nadir’s body as her gaze lingered on him. Instead of recoiling in shock and retreating, she stood transfixed, drinking in the forbidden view. She resisted the wild urge to grab her phone and capture the moment, zooming in later to savor it again. After indulging in the sight for a few moments, she forced herself to turn back inside, sliding the French doors closed behind her.“Feeling better?” Briana asked, glancing at her.“I think I lost my breath,” Nadir muttered under her breath, before speaking aloud, “Yes, I’ll get ready for bed.”“Goodnight, Mother.

Briana closed her eyes, trying to summon the image. In her memory, the Vasconcelos lobby appeared: a young man in his twenties, tall, with hypnotic blue eyes and dark hair. His smile was charming, almost magnetic, and he used it to greet everyone who passed — though always with a particular emphasis on the women. Claudia, who never bothered with the turnstile entrance thanks to her status as the CEO’s wife, strolled through that day. She leaned in toward the receptionist, whispering something only he could hear. His smile widened as she passed, ignoring the private VIP access as though she were merely another assistant. The memory dissolved, and Briana found herself back in the warmth of the suite, cheeks flushed scarlet as her mother’s voice carried on.“Well, the young man would miss entire days of work,” Nadir explained, her tone sharp with irony. “According to his colleagues, he was too exhausted to get out of bed after nights of sheer depravity at Claudia’s hands. And then, one d

At the Régio Hotel that night, Mark was deeply upset after hearing Celia’s decision. She told him she would accept being fired, if that meant avoiding more problems for him.But Mark could not accept such a sacrifice, and his voice came sharp in response.“Celia, don’t be ridiculous,” he said, frowning. “Who’s speculating that we’re having an affair?”On the other end, in Jake’s apartment, Celia sat on the sofa with tears glistening in her eyes, her voice breaking with desperation.“It’s not that we are having an affair,” she whispered. “People are gossiping that one day we will...”“That’s a lie!” Mark cut in, fierce and determined. “All of this is just your fears talking.”“You think I don’t have reasons to be afraid, Mark?” she shot back.“No,” he said firmly. “You’re my ex-wife, and you sacrificed yourself for Brie without even knowing it. You deserve to be rewarded, not punished.”Her lips curved into a trembling smile, fragile but comforted by his words. She felt protected again

  • Chapter 784 You Owe Nothing to Celia

At Ferro House, Nadir and Briana were having an excellent dinner. They could hear Julian’s splashes in the pool. Regis was nervously closing the window curtains so the two ladies wouldn’t see the cook swimming without a swimsuit. “Is the dinner to your liking, ladies?” Regis asked, disguising his nervousness. “It’s delicious, Regis,” Nadir looked around. “Where’s the cook so we can thank him?” “He’s swimming in the pool, Mom. It’s his second hobby,” Briana giggled. “We’ll talk to him later.” “Much later, ladies!” Regis cleared his throat nervously, fearing the ladies might get scared if they went to the pool now. After a bow, he left. Nadir found the closed curtains strange but decided to bring up another subject. “Daughter, now that we’re alone, what’s this nonsense about feeling ‘indebted’ to Celia?” Briana took a deep breath, sipped some grape juice, and continued, “I don’t even know how to explain it, Mom. You know Celia was also a victim of the spiked coffee, ‘courtesy’ o
