Richard took a final look at the narcissist, he let out a cold smile as he grabbed his bags.
Evelyn had asked to assist him but Richard said no. She had actually done more than enough by attending to him and even showing him kindness.
Walking out of the boutique, he glanced at the sun shining brightly into his face. Richard let out a satisfactory smile as if the sun had recharged his entire body.
He was not sure if he was supposed to say a thank you for the thugs who had killed him or the system who brought him back.
Either ways, both had helped him become what he was now. All he had to do now was figure out how he was going to get the only thing that was going to make him get his wife back.
Richard knew he was rich now. He does not have to play by Kathleen's rules anymore once he gets the contract he wanted for them.
He still remembered the cold and icy look she had on her face when she threw him out of the house. The thought of how Richard was going to live crossed his mind.
But he was living fine all thanks to the mysterious benefactor.
<Ding!
< Host will be upgraded after the next mission.
Richard let out a satisfactory smile as he walked towards the main street but then he saw a familiar face staring at him.
He knew who she was. It was Tracy Stewart. One of the famous friends of the Warrens.
Richard knew she was going to tell Kathleen she had seen him coming out of the most exquisite boutique in the city.
But that was exactly what he wanted. Let the Warren’s know he was not some wishy-washy anymore. He flagged down a taxi and was soon on his way back to his newly rented house.
He had just rented the apartment for two weeks. Maybe that was enough to get the so-called contract the Warren’s were dying to have.

Getting back home, Richard flapped his entry card against the automated machine and it asked for a voice passcode. “Richard.” he said, bending slowly towards the machine.
[ Welcome home, Mr Richard ]
It was the first time Richard was going to see a fancy house that looked like he was in paradise.
Unlike the cubicle room he was given in the Warren’s gigantic house, he was having his own well spaced room. The chandelier’s dropped casting a gentle and warm glow in the well furnished apartment.
The blinds were dropping down to the floor blocking the harsh sunlight that was threatening to filter into the mansion.
Richard let out a sigh as he dropped to the couch after drinking a bottle of soda. He had never had time for himself.
He shut his eyes and he could still hear the echo of Kathleen Warren’s voice barking orders at him.
“ Get the door!”
“ Go clean my rooms.”
“ Prepare the guest room.”
It was one work upon another.
Diane was the only real woman in his life. The only person who understands and loves him. She didn't choose him because of money but rather it was love at first sight for the both of them.
The thought of how he was going to get the contract Kathleen wanted flashed again through his mind.
Richard knew he had to be up and doing about it. Kathleen has given him an ultimatum and also the system was interested in him using his wit this time around.
If he was getting the money then he should at least work for it. Maybe doing a research about this so called contract was not a bad thing. Richard thought to himself as he walked into he bathroom to grab a cold shower.
He smiled to himself as he remembered how he humilated Karen. Maybe money wasn't so bad afterall.

A glass of champagne was set on he table and a HP Laptop which cost around $1000 buck was well rested on Richard’s laps. He went on the internet to goggle on the project Denali Clean Energy which was handled by the daughter of one of the most wealthiest family in the country.
Richard rubbed his temple the moment he saw the queue. It contained many powerful company's and those who were more qualified than the Warren's.
Maybe Brain was bluffing about getting th contract for them or maybe he was actually going to comw true on his words but it didn't matter now. He had promised to make it happen and he have too.
Richard took a few note. He jot down addressed and immediately sent a letter to the company applying for the so called contract. That was the least he could do.
He cracked his fingers as he closed his laptop expecting a reply from the Robertson company. He could only pray that he was considered but Richard knew prayer was not enough.
He had done a background check on Sarah and the thought of trying to stalk her was the only thing that was coming to his mind. He looked at the wristwatch beside him.
Richard let a long sigh feeling a bit tired. It was a long day.
He grabbed his phone and wanted to call Diane. Wanted to apologise for leaving the house. His hand hover the dailled button but then stoped.
Maybe he needed her to realise that he was trying to live up to his reputation as her husband and not some scimbag. He placed the phone down by his side.
Rested on the bed and shut his eyes before he drifted into a long sleep.

The loud and sounding alarm from Richard’s phone woke him up. He grabbed his phone and immediately stared the time. “ Holy Molly!” he shouted as he jumped out of the bed racing towards the bathroom.
Richard has successfully mapped out Sarah's daily routine. Where she visit, where she goes, what restaurant she went to eat. Everything was plastered on the wall right in front of him.
He had just successfully missed out two and of them and now he was on the last one.
<Ding!
<Meet up with the deadline or face the penalty.
Richard grabbed his phone the moment he was out of the bathroom.
“ Fuck!” He yelled out loud.

Chapter 17 : The Whisper
Nothing feels good than doing the impossible and Richard just did it. The impossible. The news spread fast — faster than anyone could have imagined.By the next morning, every corner of the Warren company was buzzing. From the cleaners in the hallway to the executives in their glass offices, everyone was talking about one thing — Richard Tucker. Some called him lucky. Others called him clever. But everyone agreed on one thing — what he did was unbelievable.“How did he even pull that off?” a young employee whispered near the elevator. “The Robertson Group never signs deals easily. Especially not with someone like him.”“I heard he begged Sarah Robertson herself,” another one said, lowering her voice. “Maybe he even worked for her for a while.”“That can’t be true,” someone else joined in. “I heard she likes men who are bold. Maybe he charmed her.”The group laughed softly, but the sound carried down the hall. Rumors like that always did.By noon, the whole company knew that the man
Chapter 16 :The Contract
The slap still rang in Richard’s ears as silence filled the large company hall. Kathleen Warren stood firm, her chest rising and falling with anger, while Dianne clung to Richard’s arm, trying to keep him steady. His cheek still burned from her hand, but he didn’t move. He knew this fight wasn’t over — not yet.Kathleen’s eyes were sharp as knives as she looked between Richard and Brian. “You think you can walk in here and embarrass my family? You think one little scene can change what we already know about you?”Richard said nothing. He only stared back, calm and quiet. He had earlier wanted to speak up but the firm hands of Dianne pressed against his arms had him under control. Kathleen turned to Brian with a softer tone. “Don’t mind him, Brian. He’s just desperate. Trying to make himself look good in front of everyone.”Brian adjusted his tie and tried to recover from his earlier shock. “Mrs. Warren, you don’t have to explain anything. Some people just don’t know when to accept d
Chapter 15 : The Slap
Richard stood face to face with Brian, his heart racing but his lips curved in a calm, confident smile. Deep down, he wasn’t sure if mocking Brian was the right thing to do. Brian was dangerous — a man who would stop at nothing to destroy anyone standing in his way.But right now, Richard didn’t care.He wanted to see the look on Brian’s face — the disbelief, the anger — everything. For once, he wanted to make him feel small.“You look surprised,” Richard said slowly, his eyes locked on Brian’s. “Don’t tell me you didn’t expect to see me alive?”Brian’s jaw tightened. “You should have stayed gone when you had the chance.”Dianne glanced between them, confused and tense. “Richard, what’s going on?”Richard didn’t answer. He kept his gaze on Brian, studying him. He could still remember that night — the fear, the pain, and the thugs Brian had sent after him. He almost died because of this man.But now, the tables have turned.Just as Brian was about to speak again, a familiar voice echoe

Chapter 13: The Deal Sealed with a Kiss
Richard stood still, his heart pounding fast. The words echoed in his head like thunder.A kiss.He stared at Sarah, unsure what to say. For a moment, he thought she was joking, but the calm and confident look on her face told him she wasn’t.“I don’t understand,” he said slowly. “You mean you’ll give me the contract… if I kiss you?”Sarah folded her arms, watching his every move. “Yes. One simple kiss. That’s my condition.”Richard looked away. He didn’t want this. He had promised himself never to betray his wife, Dianne. She was the only person who stayed with him when everyone else turned their back. She was the reason he kept fighting. Even when her family threw him out and called him worthless, she still held his hand and said, ‘We’ll make it.’And now… this?“I can’t,” Richard said, his voice low. “Please, don’t do this.”Sarah raised an eyebrow. “Don’t do what? It’s just a kiss. Not a marriage proposal.”“It’s not just a kiss to me,” Richard replied, his tone firm. “I’m marrie
