After a few minutes spent cleaning up, Violet and Victor met back at the dining table for breakfast. As before, there weren’t many ingredients in Victor’s refrigerator. Violet used the ingredients she had on hand to make breakfast, and thankfully it didn’t turn out too badly.

Victor doesn’t wait long and eats his share of breakfast. Violet stares at him intently, waiting for his reaction. But Victor just ate without saying anything. Even though he was eating well, Violet was still waiting for a comment from him. And when she didn’t get one, the girl chuckled. It made Victor stop eating and ask, “What’s wrong?”
