Everyone was shocked at Leo's action and they all yelled in raw fear. Even the bodyguard who was stationed in the room pulled his gun and pointed it at Leo.

"What are you doing?!" the young Miss cried out in panic and slapped Leo's hand.

"Gentlemen, gentlemen, let's be civil about this," Leo said in mock surrender as he put his hands in the air. "I'm going to cure him, didn't you guys bring me here to cure him?"

"Cure him?" One of the doctors asked angrily, "Do you seriously expect us to believe that bullshit? Can you guys hear him?"

Another doctor said, "He's trying to tell us that an unlicensed individual like him can cure an illness that professionals like us haven't been able to cure for weeks now. That's the biggest joke of the year."

Leo gently put the knife down and shrugged, "It's not a big deal if you don't want me to treat him. But one thing that I'll assure you is that he doesn't have much time left.

"What's this dumbass talking about?" One of the female doctors said and chuckled sarcastically at Leo.

"Young mistress!" the assistant lead doctor cried out in exasperation, "where did you pick this fool from? He's a complete embodiment of ignorance! Imagine the audacity! How can he say that the boss, Mr Maxwell will die in a minute?"

When her grandfather had told her to bring Leo, she had assumed that he was a very skilled medical practitioner but when she saw who he was, her hopes were dashed.

She turned to face the doctors and was about to ask for suggestions on their next course of action when the flat liner started beeping rapidly. Her grandfather was suddenly plunged into a violent seizure.

All the doctors quickly surrounded the old man and began to try every stabilization trick they had ever learned in their career.

"Check the oxygen tank!"

"Charge the defibrillator!"

"Check his pulse!"

"We have to stabilize him now!"

They scurried around in panic as they tried to save the old man's life.

The young Miss was devastated, she could only stand by and ask helplessly, "What's happening to him? Is he dying?"

"No, he's not dying," the head doctor reassured the young Miss, "it's just a minor crisis, he'll be fine."

In a few minutes, they were able to stabilize the old man while Leo stood by and watched quietly.

While they struggled to save the old man's life, the lead doctor didn't fail to throw a few glances of contempt in Leo's direction. He was indirectly trying to tell him that he could handle the old man perfectly.

When the old man finally stabilized, the lead doctor beamed proudly and turned to Leo,

“You can leave now”

Leo shrugged in reply and was about to turn to leave when the flat liner started beeping again and the old man was thrust into another seizure, more violent than the first.

The doctors were thrown into another fit of panic. They were confused, they didn't even know where to start treatment from. They had barely managed to stabilize him in the last seizure and now he was facing a worse one.

The lead doctor couldn't believe his eyes at the rate at which the old man was flatlining. He didn't know where to start to stabilize the old man, he was still indecisive when the young Miss grabbed him by the collar and dealt a thunderous slap across his face.

"Young Miss!" he yelled as he held his cheek in shock, "What was that for?"

"I thought you said you've stabilized him," she ranted, "why then is he convulsing again?"

"I...I...I think it's the fault of that man you brought here," the lead doctor spat, "he must have come with some sort of infection that worsened..."

"Shut up!" the young miss cried out again and slapped the doctor across the face, "Stop trying to push the blame of your failures on others and own up to your mistakes. It's because of your incompetence that my grandfather is still suffering like this, if you can't do anything to save him then please save us the stress of sacking you and walk out of here yourself."

"N..n..no need for sacking," the lead doctor chuckled nervously, "I can do this..."

"No you can't," Leo said as he squeezed himself in between the young miss and the lead doctor, "allow me to handle this."

Without waiting for anyone to give him consent, Leo grabbed a scalpel from the table and thrust it into the chest of the old man.

He was surprised at how homely the building looked as it was all warm colors and bright decor which was in very sharp contrast with his own home which was mostly black and white furniture and filled with technology. He loved the way the home felt secure and welcoming and he was sure that even though Helen said nothing about it, she was worried by the lack of privacy in their own home.
