Bai Feng just wants to live a quiet life

Bai Feng was thoroughly disappointed at the notion of giving his magical silver box away.

After he knew that it was the source of his delicious chicken, he never wanted to give it away!

No matter how tired or bored he got of eating the chicken, that didn't mean he didn't enjoy it anymore.

To him. The chicken was the ultimate dish that he enjoyed carefully after eating it so much over the years.

How could he let go of such a delicacy? How could he let go of his treasure?

Mu An knew that it would be really hard. To convince him when he was like this.

She wasn't sure what she could tell Bai Feng to make him give her the box so she could present it to the lord immortal.

She knew that it would be dumb to anger an immortal who easily took out two fully grown men with one sandal.

But it seemed Bai Feng's belly was clouding his mind.

Or he didn't care?

Mu An slowly got closer to him, which made him try to back off as he knew his sister well, so Bai Feng knew that she was trying to get the box from him.

However, he found himself having no more space to run away!

The chickens were all in his way as they were still eating the seeds that he scattered beforehand.

Behind him stood the house, and in front of him the chickens plus his sister.

Bai Feng knew that there was no way. He would be able to get out of this through conventional means.

So what he had to do was use an unconventional one!

Suddenly he pointed towards Mu An's back as he shouted:

"Lord immortal is here!"

Mu An didn't even glance behind her as she snorted and said:

"This trick might have worked when I was 4 years old, but I'm not that young anymore, Bai Feng!"

Bai Feng was rather annoyed, this trick always worked when they were younger, but now she grew too smart!

However, Bai Feng wasn't discouraged by this as the goal was his tasty, crunchy, delicious future fried chicken.

Bai Feng tried to dash between his sister's legs only to immediately get stuck due to his big build and her thick thigs.

The thing was, even though Mu An tried to remove him from there, she couldn't!

His fat body combined with her slightly less fat body got them stuck together!

Mu An felt really embarrassed right now.

Brother and sister to be in this type of position?

It was really awkward, and Bai Feng didn't even know what to say as he tried to struggle out of the grasp of the thick thighs.

Being near his sister in such a way made him rather uncomfortable.

He tried to release himself using his strength, but Mu An started to cry out in pain, which made him stop.

"What are you doing, Bai Feng?

"Isn't it obvious? I'm just trying to remove myself from here."

"Well, you are doing it wrong! you almost hurt me, and what's with that Gorillapod strength you suddenly have?"

"Uh... I don't know. I just thought that you are too weak. Am I really that strong?"

"It's not the time to think about that!"

"Oh yeah."

"Maybe we can use some grease so I can wiggle my way out of here?"

"But the grease is in the kitchen... how am I supposed to walk like this?"

While their current position was comical, it also affected Mu An's ability to walk by quite a bit.

Bai Feng thought for a few seconds before he said:

"I can use my strength to act like a horse. Just give me directions as I can see only in one direction right now."

Mu An nodded as the idea was good enough before saying:

"Go backward, avoid the chicken at the right. Go left now, go forward a little bit more forward."

"Right, my right, not yours!"

Bai Feng knocked his backside over the tree that he usually slept under before moving again using the right directions.

Finally, they reached the kitchen as Mu An took some grease that she applied. To Bai Feng's body.

Then to her thighs, making Bai Feng easily slide out of them as they were a water slide.

"Finally, now you won't be able to catch me all greased up!"

Bai Feng clutched the silver chest in his hands as he tried to run away only to slip on the grease that somehow found itself on the ground and hit his head on the door that led outside.

Bai Feng clutched his head as Mu An took the silver box that laid on his chest and shook her head:

"Come on, little brother. You should know that we are doing this for the best of everyone."

Bai Feng got up from the ground as he nursed the big bump that appeared at the top of his head.

"But what's the best for everyone isn't the best for us, big sis."

Mu An patted his newly made bump as she said:

"Don't you think that I know that, you little brat?"

She sighed as she continued:

"But if we don't act like the others right now, they will look down upon us, and let's not even talk the punishment that immortal will dole on us before taking the box away from us anyways."

"It's just better to give it out voluntarily and get whatever prize or good news he will share with us."

Bai Feng was ready to burst into tears as he looked at the silver box. He wanted to hold it some more!

"Let's get going, little brother. We have to deliver this."

Bai Feng nodded begrudgingly and followed her outside their courtyard.

It didn't take them much time to get back to the middle of the village, where everyone else had already brought back the items that ensured their livelihood.

Some of them had a small watering can, some of them had seeds, others had golden bells or different other items that helped them in agriculture or animal rearing.

The old immortal looked through every item that was being put in front of him.

He tried to see if the villagers were trying to pull a fast one on him and throw some fakes amongst the special items he had given to their ancestors in the past.

After a short while, it was Mu An's turn to give back the silver box.

She slowly made her way towards the old immortal before placing the box in front of him and bowing. Afterward, she retreated towards her brother and waited for the immortal's words.

The old immortal looked through the items a few more times, then nodded and said:

"You have done a great job as you brought me all of the items without trying to cheat me by saying that you have lost them or trying to bring me counterfeits."

"Thus, I will not renege on my promise, and I will tell you the good news that you all have been waiting for so eagerly!"

The old smiled, showing a mouth full of sharp teeth, just like those of a beast:

"My sect has been opened for recruitment!"

The mayor was the first to ask:

"Lord immortal, is everyone allowed to come and join?"

The immortal shook his head as he said:

"No, only youths below 20 years of age are allowed to join the sect, and they must also be sufficiently talented to join."

Xiao Chun, who was still out cold, around the immortal's feet finally woke up. Then he started kowtowing while shouting at the top of his lungs:

"GRAND IMMORTAL PLEASE LET ME JOIN THE SECT. I WANT TO TAKE YOU AS A MASTER!"

The old man felt amused by Xiao Chun's antics.

He decided to amuse him as well as he responded:

"Sure, why not?"

Xiao Chun almost felt his eyes bulging out as he got the approval of the old man, he smiled as he pumped his fist to the sky and shouted happily:

"HELL YEAH!"

However, before he could continue being happy, he got patted on the head by the old man, and a bucket of cold water was seemingly thrown on his head:

"But you still need to first go through the tests of the sect before I take you as an apprentice."

"I will do as you instruct, master!"

The old man waved his hand, indicating for Xiao Chun to leave him alone.

Then his eyes wandered amongst the younger villagers as he tried to pick up more talented youngsters.

His eyes started to shine as he picked 3 more young men around the age of 16-18.

After that, he picked one more young girl, around 13 years old.

Finally, his eyes wandered towards Bai Feng and his sister:

"Do you two want to come with me as well?"

Mu An didn't need to be asked twice as she quickly got near the old man and tried to grab Bai Feng's hand to drag him near the old man as well.

However, she realized that Bai Feng wouldn't budge as he looked back towards their house.

"Mu An... I don't know."

Seeing that he was reluctant made Mu An a little bit reluctant as well, she got happy because she was going to live a different life, compared to what she was doing daily, she thought that she might even become an immortal herself!

But her roots were still in Millet village. She would miss her home and all of her belongings. Was she really ready to leave so quickly?

However, before she could say anything else the old man interjected:

"Yo, you fatty are trying to live a quiet life, eh?"

Bai Feng didn't know what to answer to that question when the old man continued:

"If you are scared your fatass won't have anymore fried chicken, you shouldn't worry as our sect will be able to make hundreds of times more chicken with the silver box you returned, and even more, delicious foods shall await you if you pass the test and do well in the sect!"

The moment these words left the old man's mouth was also the moment Bai Feng quickly made his way towards him.

He had a strange fire in his eyes as he looked directly into the old man's own eyes, his short greasy ponytail waved behind his back as if there was wind surrounding him and he opened his mouth to pose a question:

"Food more delicious than the heavenly fried chicken?"

"Tens of times more delicious, maybe even a hundred times!"

"Then I'm in!"

Bai Feng pumped his fist into the air as he said that while Mu An didn't know what to say at her brother's antics, she almost wanted to find a hole and hide in it as all of the villagers were looking at them.

"Ok then, since I have chosen the most talented people present, let's go!"

A rather long floral patterned rug flew down from the sky. Then the old man jumped agilely on it as if he was a monkey.

He patted it one time, letting it go lower as he looked at the wide-eyed youths that he chose and said:

"Hop on, and let's go!"

  • The final battle (End)

Bai Feng looked down at his hands, he could feel pure power coursing through them, and the bond with the universe that started from his wrist was now exploding through every part of his body. The changes that were made to his whole body weren't describable through words alone. Bai Feng wasn't sure how to feel, but he could sense that he had reached the maximum strength possible that the universe could withstand. The universe itself told him that he can't break through anymore and that he should go and deal with the Mother of Heavens as soon as possible. While he had been reborn, his second heart didn't grow back, whatever the Mother had used to deal that blow to Bai Feng seemed to be permanent. Bai Feng could sense a small hole in the tower that was his foundation, which meant that his power wasn't perfect, but now that he practically reached the same cultivation realm as the Mother of Heaven, they were sharing the power the universe was bestowing upo

  • The fourth warehouse (Part 2)

Bai Feng and Shirbo were teaming up on the fusion while Sharley, Sylph, and Chen Lingxi were fighting with the army of guards. And they were trying to destroy the strengthened formations at the same time, or at least disable them.Bai Feng didn't have time to watch what his friends were doing, so he hoped that all those preparations they made would pay off. This was the penultimate battle!Bai Feng breathed in as he dodged a fiery lightning bolt that came too close for comfort before rotating his hand like a chainsaw and striking forwards, trying to break off the armor from the fusion's body. But a wall of frozen wood appeared in front of the fusion at the last second, making Bai Feng waste his attack on it, then getting his hand stuck in there as metal started to cover his hand, traveling up to his arm and trying to transform him into a metal statue. But that's when Shirbo came and fully destroyed the wall with his claws, then he tried to strike a

  • The fourth warehouse (Part 1)

Bai Feng looked at the unconscious Mu An and sighed as he dragged her back into the warehouse. Shirbo was waiting for his return, arms crossed as the others were continuing their breakthroughs. Before he left to fight Mu An, Bai Feng was able to make them a few dishes to keep them occupied. But now, he could finish using all of the resources that were left and let his friends reach their peak. The only problem was Mu An, Bai Feng didn't know any restraining techniques, and he wasn't sure how long she would be unconscious. He already fought her once, and he didn't want to fight her again. There was also the problem with continuing to the fourth warehouse. Once Mu An awake, even if she was restrained, she would do her best to impede their progress. Maybe they could leave her here where it was relatively safe after they restrained her. Bai Feng hoped that Sharley, Sylph, or even Lingxi would have a technique to bind her here.

  • The new Mu An

Mu An's cold expression was extremely foreign to Bai Feng. He had never seen her look like that at him. She always looked at him with a warm expression on her face, smiling at him, or telling him that everything was going to be alright after the death of their parents. Even after they went to the Lin Yong sect, she had sent out one of her guards to protect him from the shadows. But now, it looked like she had no more care for him. She was icier than absolute frost. Colder than the ice core of the planet. The Mother of Heavens was rather happy to see Bai Feng's complicated look on his face as he looked at his sister. Then she coughed as she glanced at her palm for a second before saying: "You didn't think that I would let her remain herself if she became my apostle, did you?" "The copy did mess with my thoughts a bit, but I really do appreciate her talent. It's one in a few trillion that is born with innate star

  • The aid of the universe

Bai Feng was scrambling his brains for an idea while waiting for anyone to come up with a plan to enter the warehouse. It was their penultimate training location, and if they couldn't open this one, they would surely fail at the fourth warehouse as well. But the doors were extremely sturdy, and they also stopped his regeneration, so Bai Feng wasn't sure what they could do in this situation. He simply wasn't strong enough to blow the doors open. He wasn't sure from what material the doors were made from, but he was sure that even peak Half-God realm cultivators shouldn't be able to break it open. The thing was too damn sturdy, only the Mother of Heavens should be able to break it open or someone equal to her strength. Someone equal to her strength... No individual was that strong, but there was someone equal to her! And Bai Feng had contact with that being! He glanced down at his tattooed wrist, with the help of the univ

  • Unleashing absolute strength

Bai Feng was having quite a bit of trouble fighting 1v2. The Herus fusion, and The lightning apostle fusion were giving him a run for his money. Not like he was taking damage or anything like that, but he was being kept in place as he fought back and forth with them.It was quite annoying not having enough time to penetrate through Herus's defenses before the lightning apostle would blast him with a fused attack of lightning, wind, and water. Then Herus would try to wrestle with him. Of course, even as a fusion, their strength wasn't enough to have a close-quarters fight with Bai Feng. The only reason Bai Feng hadn't finished them off yet was because of their annoying tactics and the fact that they had regenerative capabilities that resembled those of a body cultivator. It looked like their powers were getting quite the boost while they were near The Mother of Heavens' base. Not like it mattered, Bai Feng was getting annoyed as he continued
