Chapter 3: Conditions

Lucas was startled by the sudden deduction of his points, he was about to compain about it when-

He was shock stunned by the serries of notifications but he shake his daze of and asked the system-

"System , what's that deductions for?"

"" Host has taken a life ,preventing it from being save anymore, the system will deduct SP points from unsaving a life . Strive to reach the peak of saving Hero!""

The system anwered which made Lucas think for a moment.

" Ok ,but why did I have earned points afterward ,where did that came from?"

"" By killing the salmon(lvl2) , the Hero was able to save two salmon(lv1) fingerlings that it was about to eat""

" Oh"

Thinking for a while , Lucas was impress by the good prospect of hunting the fish.

With a thought he opened his status

Lucas saw that his stats were now all above the average human while his agility now higher than his int,which is initially highest stats of his.

Lucas noticed a bracket showing a 20/100 after his level. He then remember that he was able to get exp from killing the salmons. He made a confused face.

" System , does all gained exp by killing fish.?"

He was baffled because if people was able to gain exp from killing food like fish , then his lvl might be even lower that of a kid.

"" No, people of Sandria can only gain exp point from killing demonic beast. The Life - saving system treat all life as the same which allow it to convert exp from all kind of lifeforms.""

Hearing this Lucas was able to breathe free.

" That's handy!"

But that information confirmed his idea that there are really monsters in this world.

After a moment of contemplation,Lucas decide to continue to hunt for more fish. Not just beacuse he need the food but because he think that he need to raise his level as soon as possible just in case.

The reduction of his point are irrelevant, beacuse killing the big fish will surely help the small fishes ,so he only aimed for the big ones. He threw his first catch ashore and continue to hunt.

Another fish was pierce.

The notification stop showing that he gained 30 exp and 40 SP with a single fish. He threw the fish again and continued to hunt.

After awhile he caught another one and gained 20 exp points with 90 SP. His smile beamed more as he feel the sense of accomplishment by catching fishes with his spear.

He then saw a big salmon swimming closed at him, he smiled and aim at it and *swop* the fish was pierce down .

Lucas quickly opened his stat interface

" Level up atlast !"

Lucas was ecstatic to be able to level up. He carried his fish and his stick spear back on the shore, he gather all his fish.

He gutted and clean the fish with his bare hand, his strength made it a simple job ,although it made the fish appeared to be ravages.

He then collect three big rock to use as a stove. He took the stick he gathered and started trying to make fire by rubbing the sticks together. Lucas thought that because of his elevated stats ,this job was just simplebut he was slap by the reality pretty hard.

For half an hour, he was running the stick and able to make some spark and smoke but he was not been able to propagate the flames and was immediately instiguish by his wet hands.

Lossing patience Lucas stop, he was getting annoyed but a sense of calm resetted his mood .

" How will I make fire now ?"

He thought hard and was able to think of some thing.

" System ,open skill creation interface"

A blue interface with nothing in it but a single bar in the middle appeared. At first Lucas was baffled but then he was able to see that it has a resemblance to a search bar use it in a browser.

He touch the bar and a qwerty keyboard appeared under it. He then typed ' skill for making fire ' on it and then press the enter button.

A large list appeared shocking Lucas . The skills appear all having it unique name like 'Holyfire' or 'Abbysal flames' and some even have a long name containing atleast ten words. On it left show a set ls of number with atleast six zero after a certain number.

The long list made Lucas head spin.

" Maybe the prompt was to vauge ,I should try a more specific search"

He then delete the prompt and then type again' skill to create samall fire to use for cooking' and press enter.

A lost appear again but this time it only contain three skills . One is a skill called ignite, the next was called fire shot , and the last was fireball all having a 'basic' ephitet on them.

Seeing this Lucas smiled , he then look at it's price , the ignite skill worth 100 SP to create , fireshots worth 150 and lastly the fire ball was worth 300.

Lucas frowned being unable to decide what to use his point at.
