Chapter Two: Leo Blake

In the middle of the night when the whole world were sound asleep, Alfred woke up he looked at the small alarm clock on a small desk beside the bed he stares with his sister. it was only two o'clock, he sighed deeply and looked at his sister who was fast asleep, he quietly stood up and stretch himself perceiving a little pain in his waist.

he sat down his reading table, he switch on his soft rechargable lantern and scan through the books piled on the table and the ones on a hanging shelves. if there is something Alfred loves the most it was reading he is an enthusiastic reader, even from when he was seven he started reading like an adult he has read many books by many legendary mages and even the one written by his ancestor.

He searched for it and found it, it was an old book, the cover page was made of animal skin, on it was written " the fall of a legendary mage"

written with bold letters on it, the book looks very old and evidence that it has seen many ages. At he top of the cover page was written the name of the author Leo Blake, it is an autobiography. it was through this aged book that Alfred knew why his family can't awaken magic like others. they were under a powerful curse!

Leo Blake was Alfred's ancestor and a very powerful mage in the Blake's family, because of him the Blake family stood at the Pinnacle of authority in Mebon city and even in Vashut region. He was a level 19 mage. even the patriarch of Blake family dae not speak harshly infront of him, he went to countless wars adventure and brought back precious loots and magical resources back to the family. indeed he was the reason why the Blake family rose at that time. leo Blake was a forbidden name among other families in Mebon city no one dares to offend him. Because of him many families, groups and organization wants to curry favour with the Blake family, he was a very famous personality, it was said that he was at the peak of level 19 and is likely to breakthrough to level 20 at any moment though the gap between level 19 and 20 is like heaven and Earth.

Leo wasn't interested in the family leadership of the Blake's, he was more concerned with building the younger generation of the Blake's and developing his skills and abilities, though he was only 35 years old and has achieve many feats and has given birth to Alfred's grandfather. He was determined to breakthrough to level 20.

He embarked on a journey into the mountain range of countless bones, it was rumoured that many souls of powerful mages has bee trapped there without trace. Even the the government banned the entrance in the mountain range though there are many magical resources there. this becomes a temptation to many mages because once a mage enters there and came out he would have increased with two levels.

thus with desperation Leo Blake decides to step into the mountain range of countless bones to see if he can find something that can break him through to the next level, he wasn't afraid of anything after all there are many low level mages that went there and came out unscathed and so the adventure began.

He passed through many traps and dangerous magical beast but they never stood a chance against him. At the end of many battle in the mountain range he gotten many rare resources that can guarantee him access into level 20 infact he can defeat any level 20 mage now. he was already preparing to return when a mage in dark garment and a hood covering his face appeared from nowhere, he was exuding a dark aura, Leo recognized him immediately. ' a dark mage!'

Dark mages practice forbidden magics in fact this forbidden magics where never in existence before but some mages with ulterior motives went wild with research seeking for magics that can give them an edge over everyone on Earth and discover magics like curse magic, poison magic, human transformation, undead magic. each of this magic s has took the souls of thousands of people for their development thus the government of the whole countries in the world termed it forbidden and Bann it

But still there are underground forces that chose to rebel against the government and still practice forbidden magic, they call themselves Dark Mages, they were hiding from the government officials and hides in the undergrounds they have caused many havoc's and destroyed many lives all in the name of research and testing, even the authorities finds it difficult to eradicate them completely because they have reasonably enlarged in number .

Leo never anticipates to meet one here and to think that the one before is level 20 dark mage makes his head hurts. as a dark mage even a peak level 20 mage will find it difficult to fight him. infact a level 20 dark mage is on par with a level 21 elemental mage and now he is facing one, Leo's face darkened he knew that he has a little chance of survival ' this is no good' he muttered to himself.
