Gisele stared intently at the road ahead. The subtle vibrations from this Porsche felt so luxurious; even the rhythm of Gisele’s heartbeat was faster.

Swallowing hard, her hand ran over the dashboard. Smooth and comfortable. She was so awestruck by the luxury that she couldn’t even blink. It felt like a dream.

Slowly, she glanced at Leo beside her. There was a different feeling within Gisele. Ever since they set off, something had been nagging at her.

“Is… is this really your car?!” Her hand clenched into a fist for a moment as she asked.

“How can this be your car?! Didn’t you… didn’t you—”

Gisele’s index finger trembled. The fact that Leo had previously come to Hivebee by bus made her frown. It made no sense for Leo to suddenly own such a luxurious car.

‘How could this possibly be his car?’ thought Gisele, glancing to the side. ‘Didn’t he come to Hivebee just by bus?’

Without realising it, she held her breath slightly. Her head felt a bit hot.

“Is this really your car? How is that possible?”

Leo didn’t answer straight away. He leaned back calmly in his seat, holding the steering wheel with one hand.

A faint smile played on his calm face. “It belongs to a close friend of mine.”

Gisele tilted her head. “A close friend?”

Leo nodded slowly. He raised an eyebrow. “I helped him out once, so when he found out I was here, he immediately lent me one of his luxury cars.”

After saying that, Leo laughed casually. He refocused on the road ahead.

At that moment, Gisele fell silent, her brow furrowing deeply. She looked around; this car was truly luxurious.

“Is it really possible for a friend to lend something this luxurious…?” she wondered to herself, doubtfully.

It still sounded implausible, but she didn’t say anything because they’d managed to get out of their previous predicament.

Leo glanced briefly in the rear-view mirror to check on Gisele. His grip on the steering wheel tightened as he recalled the earlier incident. The woman was still the same—always belittling him—but now the situation was different. He could make her fall silent.

“Isn’t this turning out to be a good day? It couldn’t get any better, could it?” he thought happily.

A few moments later, Leo’s pupils dilated instantly as a blue screen popped up before him.

[Congratulations! Gisele’s interest level has increased to 31!]

[You have received an Appreciation from Gisele!]

[You can earn up to 2000 dollars from Gisele.]

A smile spread across his face, so much so that the tension in his facial muscles vanished. “Oh… it turns out I was wrong; there is something better this day.”

Leo’s calm words were barely audible. But the movement of his lips was visible from the corner of Gisele’s eye. Whatever Leo had said, Gisele didn’t know.

Leo’s help made Gisele feel even more that Leo was a different person. Gisele sensed no malicious intent whatsoever from this portly man. He was a good person.

On the other hand, Leo saw a huge opportunity. Today he had already earned 500 dollars, but with Gisele’s favourability level rising, Leo could earn another 1,500 dollars from the system. This was many times greater than yesterday. It was on a whole different level, and Leo didn’t want to miss this chance.

He pressed the accelerator harder to speed up the car. His excitement made him a little impatient to get the money faster.

“We’re here,” said Leo as he stopped in front of a bar.

The bar looked quite upmarket, with a spacious layout and bright neon lights even in the morning.

Gisele opened her eyes, furrowing her brow. Her fingers hesitantly rubbed her thigh.

“Why are we going to a bar?”

Calmly, Leo opened the car door. Before getting out, he turned to look at Gisele.

“Just come along, Gisele. What happened earlier must have left your neck muscles tense, right? We need a bit of peace and quiet. This place is just the ticket.”

Leo’s invitation sounded sincere. Gisele got out of the car and followed Leo. They walked slowly and sat down in front of the bar counter.

A bartender approached Leo politely, smiling warmly and reassuringly.

“It looks like you’re having a good day, sir. We have all sorts of drinks to suit people’s personalities and moods. Is there anything you’d like?”

Leo gave a small smile. Then he turned to Gisele. “Bartender, make something suitable for this lady.”

The bartender turned to Gisele and raised an eyebrow. Then he smiled with great charisma.

“Oh, of course, sir.”

The bartender immediately mixed a few drinks and began to perform. Gisele’s eyes were glued to him. She was thoroughly enjoying the show.

A moment later, the bartender poured a dark-coloured drink into a round glass filled with ice. He gently handed it to Gisele.

“Black Magic, a drink perfect for a woman full of secrets. A cocktail with a distinctive flavour.”

Gisele’s eyes widened. The colour of the cocktail even matched her gothic style. She glanced at Leo.

“Have a drink,” said Leo, gesturing with his hand to invite her. “This cocktail is coffee-based, mixed with rum. I ordered a light one for you.”

Gisele’s hand reached for the glass. For a moment, she stared at the deep black liquid. Closing her eyes, she pressed her lips to the rim of the glass. Savouring every sip.

At that moment, Leo broke into a broad smile. But his attention wasn’t on Gisele; it was fixed on the screen in front of him.

[You’ve received a $200 rebate!]

That $20 cocktail had already become a windfall for Leo. There was still another $1,300 he could collect from Gisele.

Gisele placed her glass on the table. She smiled contentedly. “This is absolutely delicious!”

Gisele’s eyes sparkled as she said it. It was as if she were a child who’d been bought a toy. She was absolutely delighted.

“If you’d like, you can order another one,” Leo said casually.

Gisele raised her eyebrows. She liked the way Leo was treating her. If it weren’t for Leo, Gisele wouldn’t have experienced such wonderful things today.

“Thank you…,” she murmured.

Instead of listening, Leo’s attention was drawn to a young woman being harassed by three men.

One of them was holding the woman’s hand and glaring at her.

“You want to fight me, huh? You slut!”

The woman tried to pull her hand away, but couldn’t. Her eyebrows were almost joined together and she was breathing heavily.

At that moment, the blue screen reappeared before Leo. It made him hold his breath for a moment.

[Potential Target Found: Lisa White.]

Leo’s eyes lit up. His hands clenched tightly.

“Ah?”

“Lunch?” Regina raised both eyebrows. Leo nodded, offering a faint smile. He felt he needed to make a good impression on Regina. Such potential would be wasted if not put to good use. Leo also didn’t want to miss out on the potential the system had given him with Regina. “Yeah. Lunch,” Leo said calmly. Regina was silent for a moment. It turned out Regina had a different perspective than Leo. She thought Leo was interested in her. In fact, there were quite a few men who wanted to get close to her. Usually, Regina would just ignore men like that, because most of them were only after her body. And yes, Regina was well aware that she was a beautiful and sexy woman. However, Regina looked at Cindy, who was now holding her hand. Leo had saved Cindy, risking his life to help a child he didn’t even know. Regina felt that Leo was a good person. He’s different from the people she’s met so far. “He’s not a bad person. Okay, it’s fine if I’m a little nice and give him my number, right?”
