AUTHOR'S EPISTLE

THANK YOU::

JIM IS HIM… is finished! Have you enjoyed it? I hope so. I definitely enjoyed writing it as it was challenging. It was supposed to be a 500 chapter long work, but I condensed it and finished it quickly. To all those who read every chapter and reached this page… you have my humble thanks.

A big thanks to readers Lynn Casey, Mickey Ritch, and Liwhundebe Emmanuel for their precious votes.

A special thanks to Rex Magnus for his lovely review. Much appreciated, Brother.

CHARACTERS::

I hope you can take away some memorable characters from this novel. My favorite character is Jim, not because he’s the protagonist, but because he will give me food if I go to his restaurant with empty pockets more than once. He didn't have many friends growing up, but if you ask Shiney, she’ll tell you that he’s the kind you wouldn’t want to end your relationship with once you get to know him. Then again, Shiney might give you a different answer depending on the mood she’s in when you ask her. So…

Every important character in this novel has struggles that could be relatable to some people, including Marc Adams who always does his best to get money from Lola. The decisions these characters take can make you like or hate them. Who among them inspired, or impressed you? Who made you angry or upset?

LOOSE ENDS::

I believe there are no loose ends?

Wait, wait… did Bernard succeed on his 143th date in the past six months? Bernard spent so much tissue paper that night to wipe his tears, so you should be able to guess what happened. He found his soulmate, someone who was nearly as fat as him. And they together watched a gourmet love story that night, and the movie made him cry a lot because he wished that the food shown in the fantasy movie was real!

As for the the vampires introduced in the last chapter…. They obviously are out of syllabus for this novel. If you want to know more about the lore of vampires,  you should check out my other novels: Resuscitated Son-in-law, and Savvy Son-in-law. Both these novels delve much deeper into the vampire lore, though they don’t deal with the demonic lore like this novel does.

Wait a second…

What about the word ‘Jimmery’ that Shiney used in the epilogue? Well, it is somewhat self-explanatory, so I’ll leave its definition to your own imagination.

WHAT IS UP WITH THIS NOVEL?

‘Live and let live. Forgive and be forgiven.’

Nope, nope, nope. This novel has nothing to do with that theme. I just wrote it because it sounded cool.

Unfunny jokes apart, the core of this novel has always been to go against the odds and come out on top of all the troubles that come your way.

Whether it be the life Jim had to lead in his aunt’s house, or the harsh words he had to take from Lola, Marc, and even Rena during those three years. And the seemingly impossible task of getting the restaurant back, clearing the Beast Dungeon, and teaching a tough lesson to Lola and more.

Jim is Him because he doesn’t run from his enemies whatever form they may come in.

FUTURE::

Shiney’s boyfriend John is widely known as Don John. His past is very interesting. I might write a short story between Shiney and John in the future. I have a lot of ongoing novels, so I have to finish them first. So, please bear with me in case you’re a fan of Shiney.

If you do wish for their story to be told, then do leave a message in the review so that I’d know.

REQUEST::

This is my second finished novel. Please do leave a review so that it’d help me assess my own work better. Also, vote with a gem or two, so that the novel will reach more people. If you don’t want to vote or leave a review, then Lola’s sandwiches are going to be delivered to your doorstep tonight! Beware!

Last but not least, I hope you enjoyed the novel and learned a thing or two from it. May Lord Jesus bless you in your endeavors.

Cheers.
