Beep. Beep. Beep.

Currently, a teenage boy in hospital robes had his back against the surface of a hospital styled mattress bed , with eyes clearly wide open but evidently murky; a sign of being lost in a daze.

"Tch.." clicking his tongue in what sounded like a frustrated manner, Jedidiah snapped out from his daze as he broke the status of silence in his hospital Ward.

- Exempting the noise coming from the heart monitor of course.

"I was in a coma for an entire seven days?" Jedidiah thought inwardly, still avidly recalling the dialogue he had with the hospital doctor in charge of him, after he woke up from his bizzare comatose state nearly half an hour ago.

The Doctor had naturally been skeptical about his recovery. But even after undergoing several tests, the Doctor couldn't discover anything wrong with him!

However this was besides the point because Jedidiah had more pressing thoughts in his mind. Sensing the cold surface of a particular pendant hanging across his neck caused Jedidiah's lips to curl as excitement flashed across his eyes.

"Alright, close your eyes and follow the pathway of your meridian veins.." after an Elite experienced their "Awakening", the next step they needed to take was exactly this.

By familiarizing themselves with their newly forged meridian veins, Elites would be able to smoothly channel their different types of magic through these meridian veins. And as a bonafide fan of the Elites, Jedidiah was aware of this process; it wasn't like the Elites went out of their ways to conceal this piece of knowledge..

"N--Nothing?!" five minutes later, His expression darkened.

...

"Why isn't it working?!" trying his best to block out the noise the heart monitor was making, Jedidiah tried sensing his meridian veins for the tenth time, only to end up in failure.. yet again!

"I don't get it!" he couldn't help but mumble inwardly in a frustrated manner.

He had his suspicions that his bizzare comatose was linked to the pendant currently hanging across his neck. Not to mention according to the message he got from his family, this pendant was supposed to be the "key"

"Key?! what stupid key!" grabbing the pendant hanging across his neck , he attempted to yank off. Perhaps he was going to sell it at a pawn shop and make a couple bucks.

—[Ping!]

—[System Online!]

"What's this?" Jedidiah's fingers slowly withdrew away from the pendant, his eyes completely transfixed on the two virtual screens floating before his eyes.

"I'm not seeing things now am I?" he unconsciously reached out towards one of the floating screens, only to end up having his hand phase right through it. His actions ended up causing the floating screen to temporarily suffer a glitch.

"Hm? more are popping up?" Jedidiah's brows shot up in intrigue as he noticed a couple new virtual tabs appearing before his eyes.

Naturally, he checked out the first tab;

—[Host Info]

- Name: Jedidiah Kreese

- Title: ???

- Race: Human (???)

- Class: ???

...

"This is just like those progressive RPG video games.." this was Jedidiah first observation as his eyes trailed over to the second tab;

—[Profile I INFO]

Power Level: Lvl 1 (+)

ENG: 100%

STR: 100%

SPD: 100%

AGL: 100%

PHYQ: 100%

INT: 100%

..

"Now this is definitely a video game.." reading the contents of the second tab was like the final nail in the coffin. According to how those video games were played, he could progress his power level by slaying monsters?

However Jedidiah also found this bizzare. Never had he heard of an Elite capable of growing stronger by killing monsters. Although killing Kaiju Beasts has proven to be a lucrative venture over the years, they were not like those monsters in video games, capable of leaving behind "loots" after they were slayed.

Now completely immersed in the new experience, Jedidiah proceeded to read the third tab;

—[PROFILE I COMPREHENSION]

Name: Eternal Muse

Comprehension: Lvl 1 (+)

Core Skills: None

Bloodline Skills: None

Soul Weapon; None

Class: None

...

Just when Jedidiah thought he had finished skimming through all the system tabs, a notification tab popped up that read;

—[Congratulations! Host has received Starters Package!]

—[Starters Package has been opened!]

—[Host has received +10 Ivory tickets!]

..

"Tickets?" reading this notification, a certain suspicion popped into Jedidiah's mind. However he didn't have to mull over it for long because another notification succeeded the one from earlier.

—[System Tidbit 101]

- Tickets are currencies unique only to the system. They are capable of drawing the System inbuilt Lottery. Draw the Lottery and earn rewards!

—[Ping!]

—[New Special Function; Midas Lottery has been added!]

..

Mentally clicking on the newly created system tab, a spin wheel appeared before Jedidiah's eyes and below it was a string of small information.

—[Midas Lottery]

- Silver Ticket: 0

- Gold Ticket: 0

- Diamond Ticket: 0

- Ivory Ticket: 10 (one-time)

..

—[System has automatically induced first lottery spin!]

—[This action costs -1 Ivory Ticket]

..

"This system or whatever it is sure is gutsy.." Jedidiah pursed his lips, his eyes never leaving the spin wheel whose arrow was currently rapidly spinning around.

One of the few things that made Jedidiah's life barely enjoyable was his small collection of video games. Although he wouldn't necessarily go so far as to call himself an avid gamer, Jedidiah was a dabbler. As such he was aware that in some video games especially progressive ones, there were some events that were automatically orchestrated by the game itself. Was this System thingy similar?

"Hm?" however Jedidiah didn't have the luxury of mulling over this question for too long because he noticed the spin wheel arrow beginning to slow down until it eventually landed at a particular section on the spin wheel.

    —[You have trolled Darwin Hughs for +100.. +100.. +100] "Y--You know who I am?" Darwin's head momentarily went blank. This pauper actually knew who he was? He actually didn't mishear him the first time but knew about his identity as the son of Captain Hughs. So why-- "Yep. How many times am I going to answer that question?" Jedidiah clicked his tongue. "Maybe you've got too much dirt in your ear that is obstructing your hearing?" The realization of the situation slowly dawned on Darwin. The other party clearly knew who he was and yet was intentionally ignoring his father's prestige! —[You have trolled Darwin Hughs for +500.. +500.. +500] x2 "Very good. I was inclined to accept your heartfelt apology after you got on your knees but now? you have not just only been offended me, you have spat on the honor of my father and the entire 30th Precinct!" Realizing the hesitation around him, fear finally began to creep in Darwin's heart. With a slight tremble in his voice, he let out another scowl. "You useless bastards! If anything happens to me you all will be spending the rest of the year at the 30th Precinct. My father is Captain Hughs for pete sake!" Following this sharp exclaimation, the receptionist who were previously attempting to watch from the sidelines, suddenly felt a chill run up their spine. This snobbish brat was actually the son of that Captain Hughs?! Who in the entire city didn't know about the 30th Precinct?! Rumors has it that amongst it's roster of Martial Police officers were sadistic Elites who were deeply instilled with the discipline of upholding the law always. Like sharks, they always seemed to easily locate signs of criminal activities before its roots could spread within their jurisdiction. Of all the 70 Precincts spread across the City, the areas under the jurisdiction of the 30th Precinct were la

    The entire lobby descended into stunned silence. Whether it were the receptionist, the bystanders and even the victim himself, they were all stunned at the slap. However, the palpable silence was soon shattered by this simple sentence. "You should thank your lucky stars that I held back. You won't be so lucky the next time you demean my parents." Jedidiah could barely contain his temper whenever his deceased parents were involved. Even back at at Blue Prep School when he didn't have the system it was the same. The only few times he ever tried standing up to Spencer's antics were usually always when his family were the topic of the discussion. This snobbish stranger would've been spared the public humiliation even if he continued talking smack about Jedidiah. But extending that disrespect to his deceased parents? that was obviously crossing a line! —[You have trolled Darwin Hughs for +1050.. +1050. +1050] x5 Darwin had finally come back to his senses and along with it came the

    "Excuse me?" Jedidiah's gaze snapped towards the direction of the earlier statement. "Hmph. There is no point faking it. Even my stewards have far better taste in fashion than you. Did you think that just any random miser can afford to dine in the prestigious Velvet Rose Garden?" The speaker was a young man in his early twenties. Clad in a two piece branded suit with an expensive pair of shoes wrapped around his feet, the culprit exuded a snobbish air of superiority that was further accentuated by the luxury watch donned around his wrist. Noticing the confused manner the hypocritical miser was looking at him, Darwin snorted in contempt. "You would only end up sullying the establishment with your presence." Releasing a snort, Jedidiah impatiently snapped. "Although I have no idea why that is any of your concern but except you are the owner of Velvet Rose Garden, I doubt you'd be able to bare anybody from dining there." "Y--You!" tongue-tied, Darwin Hughs found himself unable to m

    Navigating the spacious manor building in Lady CeCe's Villa, Jedidiah was left with disappointment when he discovered that apart from himself and the handful of maids he encountered along the way, the entire Villa was devoid of any other living soul! By the time Jedidiah finished his involuntary tour, he was left reeling for breath. Even after he asked all the maids, they all ended up giving him the same monotonous reply — The Madame was out, and Mr. Chuck went along with her. "I wonder where they are right now?" Jedidiah bemused to himself as he arrived at the gazebo behind the Villa's garden. Making himself comfortable on the lounge chair under the gazebo, Jedidiah thought back to the abrupt call he got from Natalie — The other party actually wanted to have drinks with him. However due to being preoccupied with his plan to protect Ayanna and her father from the Skyfall gang, Jedidiah ended up declining her offer. He was now beginning to wonder whether he should accept. Anyways

    "I really don't know. But I suppose that sort of scenerio isn't completely unlikely." "Why are you asking me all this?" Dalia directed a puzzled look at Jedidiah's direction. The last question was oddly specific — Almost personal. "I'm just curious." Jedidiah forced a smile. At that moment, Ayanna just happened to have finished sorting through the mess in the cafe. Arriving before the table, she exhaled in an exhausted manner. "I apologize for the embarrassing scene earlier on." "There's no need. The delicious pancakes more than made up for it. Your dad is a really amazing chef." at this point, Jedidiah was a bit tempted to have Ayanna's father work for him. Being the head of Lady CeCe's kitchen would definitely pay better than what he was getting from this cafe anyways. "Actually I am the one who made the pancakes." as she made this confession, Ayanna's cheeks flushed red. She was like a housewife whose husband just praised her talents in the kitchen. "Just like I suspected
