—[Congratulations! You have landed your first successful draw!]

Receiving this notification from the System, Jedidiah noticed that the Midas Lottery consisted of Five Segments that read!

—Thanks For Spinning

...

And currently, the arrow of the spin wheel was currently pointed towards the [Cultivation Elixir]

—[You have received +1 Mana Fruit!]

Unconsciously stretching out his hand, Jedidiah observed a shimmer of light briefly blossom, followed by the appearance of a certain object falling onto his outstretched palm. Strangely enough, this mana fruit in question was actually a peach shaped fruit with a golden colored exterior.

"Mana Fruit huh?" bringing the fruit closer to his face, Jedidiah took a deep sniff and instantly felt his previously tout nerves relaxing.

- This caused his eyes to lit up with excitement.

Although he had never heard of any mana fruit, the term mana was something that was usually associated with Elites. Not to mention just taking a simple sniff from this "mana fruit" had such a rejuvenating effect on him. Didn't that mean directly eating the mana fruit would--

Jedidiah was just too excited to have thoughts of thinking further. However his excitement was soon short-lived when he realized a troubling matter. The mana fruit was just too big and he didn't have any knife on him to cut it into smaller bits.

"Tch. What am I even thinking.. I'll just go with the crude method.." dispelling any stray thought of culinary etiquette, Jedidiah brought the mana fruit closer to his lips and took a large bite.

Contrary to his expectations, he didn't even need to chew because once that bite entered his mouth, it instantly melted like snow, causing a relaxing sensation to dance inside his mouth and down his throat. Five seconds barely passed and the peach sized fruit in his palm was long gone.

—[You have leveled up!]

"That fast?" Jedidiah's brows shot up in slight surprise as he clenched his fist.

"I don't feel anything though.." he frowned. Apart from feeling slightly less fatigued, Jedidiah felt nothing had changed inside him.

In less than five minutes, Jedidiah completely wiped out his reserve of Ivory Tickets in exchange for a total of ten draws. He had no idea whether it was pure luck or something else but for each of his ten draws, he actually managed to obtain ten mana fruits.

Eager to relish in that earlier experience of having the mana fruit melting in his mouth, Jedidiah began to pick the nine mana fruits sprawled across the sheets of his hospital bed, greedily consuming them.

"S--Sweet!" after consuming all ten mana fruits, Jedidiah discovered he was starting to feel the effect, judging from the volatile power he was currently feeling cruising through his veins.

With the kind of power he was feeling, Jedidiah was now confident that he wouldn't be completely helpless before that fat bully Spencer, if they ever crossed paths.

- This was actually a surreal feeling for Him considering the fact that when comparing regular humans, he was actually weaker than the average regular human. And now just after consuming ten of this mysterious "mana fruit" he was now confident in holding his own against a young unawakened Elite like Spencer!

However deduction were still deduction at the end of the day. Eager to test out the limit of his new found strength, Jedidiah jumped out of the covers of the hospital bed. Arriving in front of the tiled wall, he took a momentary pause in a bid to calm his racing and excited heart.

"And now, the moment of truth!" clenching his right fist, he drew it back before slamming it straight towards the wall.

Crack!

Noticing the finger sized crack that appeared across the wall, Jedidiah's eyes lit up in excitement. Unfortunately this excitement was short lived when he realized something.

- Strange. I clearly heard a crack. It must probably be the wall but why the hell does my knuckles hurt so damn much?!

..

"You have a visitor!"

"Hm?" ignoring the pain coming from his right knuckles, Jedidiah hurriedly jumped back into the covers of his hospital bed.

"Come in.." feigning weakness in his voice, Jedidiah wrapped the covers around himself while yawning in a tired manner; making his very best impression of just waking up.

A few seconds later, the door slowly slid open, revealing a middle aged Nurse who escorted a man into the hospital ward.

"You must be Jedidiah.." a warm smile appeared across the lips of the newcomer as soon as his eyes fell on Jared.

"Who are you?" Jedidiah didn't bother concealing the confusion in his voice. No matter how he tried wracking his head, he never recalled seeing this unfamiliar looking man, talk less of knowing him.

- Judging from his ten thousand dollar suit, he must be loaded and rich. Why is someone like him acting all friendly before me?

Jedidiah couldn't be blamed for having this thought since due to the advent of Kaiju Beasts, a large majority of Socialites were either top Elites or had ties with top Elites.

"You might not remember my face but I was actually present when you were born. Not only were your parents and me acquittances, they named me your god father and legal guardian.. my name is Chuck Diesel."

"You're my legal guardian?" Jedidiah pursed his lips in skeptism.

"I wonder where you were all these years then. Lucky me for you to suddenly show up.." Jedidiah sneered in a sarcastic manner.

"But you don't really need to trouble yourself. I've managed to survive all these years without a legal guardian, what makes you think I need one right now?" Jedidiah didn't bother concealing his anger.

- So he actually had a bougie big-shot as a legal guardian and yet he spent a majority of his childhood and teenage years being mocked?!

Smiling calmly, Chuck didn't take offense at Jared's rude remarks. Instead, he calmly proceeded to explain.

"In truth, your parents actually made this arrangement."

"My parents?" Jedidiah's interest was piqued.

"Indeed. In a posthumous legal agreement, it was agreed upon that until you turned sixteen, I was to refrain from going near you. However once you become sixteen, I am to accept my responsibility as your legal guardian."

"I don't believe you." Jedidiah took a brief pause before he retorted.

"I have the legal agreement to back this up. However you have the option to file for emancipation however I doubt that would be a wise choice." Chuck explained, still maintaining his friendly smile.

"Oh? and why is that?"

"Because it would screw up your chance of getting admitted into Shakespeare Academy" reaching this conclusion, Chuck exhaled sharply.

"Your parents held a special status even as Alumnis of Shakespeare Academy. As long as you've clocked sixteen, you are entitled to a scholarship to study at Shakespeare for a total duration of five years at maximum, with all expenses fully covered."

"However to be eligible for this scholarship requires that I be your legal guardian. So except you don't want to study at the top most prestigious Academy in the Country, then feel free to file for emancipation."

"This.." Jedidiah fell silent.

- What kind of quagmire was this?! if it were perhaps a couple weeks ago, he wouldn't mind filing for emancipation considering the fact that Shakespeare Academy's student roster consisted of talented Elites. However due to the appearance of the System, the situation has changed greatly.

Although Jedidiah had no idea whether he was an Elite or something else, it was quite obvious that he wasn't an ordinary human any more.

- With the way the current circumstance was, missing out on being a student at Shakespeare Academy would be perhaps the most stupid mistake he'd ever make in his life!

"T--This.." "H--How is any of this possible?!" The spectating students were currently spotting gobamacked expressions as they witnessed the game of Kaizen Slam gradually coming to an end. Normally the game was split into four quarters with each quarter lasting for approximately ten minutes and five minutes breaks in between quarters. Currently the game was already halfway through the fourth quarter and so far the stats that had been put up, stunned not the spectating students, but also the Instructors as well. Why you ask? Because the senior team were completely being decimated by the freshmen team! So far, the senior team managed to score three outside zone hoops and two inside zone hoops, zero interceptions and zero sacks, thus bringing their accumulated points scored, to approximately sixteen points. However, this number value paled extremely compared to the stats put up by the freshmen team; a whooping ten inside zone hoops, fifteen outside zone hoops, seven interceptio

"What kind of technique is that?" with the senior team making the next offensive play, Dalia was forced to retreat away from their zone. As soon as she arrived besides Jedidiah, she was unable to hold back her curiosity. "They're about to make their moves." finding a valid excuse to avoid giving her a straight reply, Jedidiah sounded out this warning. However while he was still mid way speaking, his fingers were a bit busy. With a single snap of his fingers, three portals materialized in the air as they silently floated besides him."Interesting. He casted a magic technique without the use of a finger seal!" Dalia blinked in astonishment and new found intrigue. The first time when Jedidiah executed his magic technique, she had found it bizzare how smooth his execution of the magic technique had been at the time — it made zero sense for a complete noob to spend less than a minute trying to execute a magic technique. She had suspected he had managed to increase the casting speed th

"Here they come!" Zach had barely made this comment when he noticed the freshmen team making their move. With Jedidiah and Ayanna remaining rooted in the same position, Dalia made a dash forward, her five fingers clenched around a spherical shaped ball. "Intercept her, quick!" in the face of Dalia's sheer movement speed, Zach was momentarily astounded. However at the end of the day, he was still an experienced Sixth Degree Elite — Even if his Cultivation was currently temporarily regressed. "Yes young master!" Racing towards the incoming Dalia, a small crack appeared underneath her foot as Estelle made a smooth pivot, followed by a spin mid air and finally a descending axe kick that was ruthlessly aimed at Dalia's right shoulder — if the kick successfully connected, Dalia was sure to suffer a fatal injury. Already anticipating the cruel sound of bones snapping out of shape, the spectating students were soon met with disappointment when none of such sounds was made. Instead, th

It was barely noon and yet for the first time in a long time, nearly every lecture hall in the Academy's building were devoid of a single soul. Where did the students go? that was a good question. Amidst the heated chatterings generated amongst the students, the gym room located within an open roofless space within the Academy's building was currently packed to the brim with nearly all the students at Shakespeare Academy — Each one is them equally spotting curious expressions. "Is the rumors truly accurate?" "Three freshmen students are actually challenging two students with Zach Vanderwaal included!?" "I think the rumors is authentic. How else can you explain the fact that the Instructors permitted our gathering?" "Those freshmen students must be truly crazy!".. Ignoring the heated discussion echoing around them, Jedidiah was currently inside the locker room behind the open space gym room arena. Standing in front of him were Dalia and Ayanna. "I am sorry for dragging you bot

"T--That's impossible!" Mr. Hollywood immediately retorted. There was no way a freshmen student's internal energy could rival that of a genius senior student. It was completely unheard and made absolutely no sense! "Can I just say something?" Jedidiah suddenly chirped in. Thanks to Dalia negating the crushing effect of Mr. Hollywood's aura, Jedidiah's previously ashen expression had now regained some color. Although there were still traces of dried blood trailing across his nostril and eardrums, none of his bones were broken — if Dalia hadn't stepped up when she did, Jedidiah could only shudder just thinking about what would've happened to him. So that was the power of an Academy Teacher ; a solid Eight Degree Elite! Before just the sheer influence of their released presence, all of the progress Jedidiah had made so far ended up completely useless — He couldn't offer the slightest bit of resistance. 'How is possible for one human to be that powerful?!' although Jedidiah had hear

"Good morning class.." Jedidiah and Natalie had just settled behind their desk when they noticed their homeroom teacher walking into the lecture Hall. "Interesting." a curve played across Jedidiah's lips as he noticed the familiar figure trailing behind the home room teacher.Zach who had just walked into the lecture hall immediately had his eyes wandering about, seemingly searching for something — or someone, in hurried haste. Coincidentally, he just happened to make eye contact with Jedidiah, causing him to release a sigh of relief. 'He came to the Academy today.. good!' "Hm? Is there a student who goes by the name Jedidiah Kreese?" re - adjusting his glasses, the homeroom teacher suddenly directed this question at the freshmen class. However despite him asking this question, Jedidiah inwardly sneered when he noticed the other party's gaze firmly locked on him. Already inwardly guessing what was about to come next, Jedidiah calmly rose up on his feet. "That would be me." Jedi
