Chapter 26

Three days later...Nov. 9th Monday.

Karen's POV.

To be honest, I've been wondering how Riele has been coping with being in jail for the past three days now. Everywhere has been chaotic upon hearing Riele's fate. The news about her arrest has been spreading like wildfire. There were no good words about it. It seemed like everyone felt contented.

Why we find the misery of others interesting is really hard to understand, but I don't think I should blame them, because Riele is not innocent in that.

I don't even know what to think anymore, but one thing I'm sure of is, that Riele's innocent. She isn't all that bad the way people picture her. They are all being selfish because whatever Riele has against them seems to have been buried in a deep hole.

I looked up and saw Ashley and Liz coming in together. Their eyes met mine.

"Hey, Karen," Liz called, as the both of them sat in their seats.

I forced a smile at them but didn't reply.

"You know what happened to Riele is all on her, right?" Liz
