Chapter 26 - Escape Plan : Deja Vu

Leo's eyes had seen, and his ears heard two abnormal things happening in one creature. The big Lions on Tigers are a specie of the cat family, and due to their extreme size, instead of meowing as a normal cat would, their triple-sized vocal cords will release a roar. All this only because of your differing sizes, but yet, this creature give your a roar, one that was even louder and more frightening than that of the big cats.

"Aren't you supposed to meow or something?" The words escaped Leo's lips as his butt fell on the items and gold in the cave, with a face drowned in awe.

The furry cat growled at Leo's words and all of a sudden, its small paws that stood on the ground sprouted out their unusually long and glossy claws.

The creature shoved itself at Leo's sitting figure as its elongated claws visibly aimed at Leo's face. But luckily, the tiger-like creature was quick to react as it suddenly punched the cat with its clawed paws which got stained with the blood of the attacked specie.

"How did you ever find this place?" The cat's squeaky voice once again pierced the cave and the bright light suddenly illuminated from its furs.

Leo had a slight headache even as he closed his eyes, trying his possible best to avoid the blinding light that last for a couple of minutes. The headache also calmed down as he slowly open his eyes to the scene.

He was in a familiar place, the cell, and he stood in front of the cell rods while a gigantic monster stood beside him.

"... Oh! That dragon, why isn't it here to save you again?"

Leo's brow furrowed while he listened to the words of the prison who was situated in the front cell. The almost familiar words made his head ache a little, but unfortunately, he could not remember where he had heard those words.

"Hey man, you are oddly silent!" The man, Argon asked with a pursed lip.

"Not... Nothing, I - I might just leave here before you know it." Leo answered after some seconds with a voice that strangely revealed his undying confidence.

"That's an affirmative word for someone like you who can use his abilities in the cell..."

"Argon, what you say, can a man truly use his ability in the cell?"

"Yea, he can create monsters, just like the late elder' son could!"

During the conversation between the two prisoners, Leo turned to the monster behind him and it instantly shattered into invisible dust.

'If I can use my ability in here, then I'll dig myself out of here!'

He thought with a gaze that keened at the pitch darkness before him. A blue light briefly illuminated the prison cell and a predator beast appeared. It had a figure similar to the tiger, and also in its threatening growl.

It was the same creature that had previously dug into the ground, and unknowingly for Leo, he summoned the exact beast to continue its duty.

"My guts tell me you're the late Elder's supposed late son!" Argon's voice halted the figure of the young man who was about to jump along with his beast into the hole it dug,

"I and my brother over there believe you'll be our savior, we have only till noon!"

A chuckle sounded from Leo's lips and he answered within a couple of mere seconds, "I will most definitely save you, and your brother."

"That sound like sarcasm!" Argon forced a laugh from his mouth even as his eyes dazed at the darkness far in the passage,

"I guess you are that villain who terrorizes Nonius every other night, and if so, you should have another look?"

Leo quickly turned his gaze to his skin as his brows shot to the sky before transforming into the fire-graded appearance, "Now this isn't sarcasm, if I manage to get out of here, I'll try my maximum to get you out!"

A smile braced his cheeks and the tiger-like creature once again appeared in the surrounding before jumping into the incomplete hole. Leo followed after the beast and was immediately lost on the surface ground of the cell.

Meanwhile, Leo landed on the back of the digging creature, and couple more seconds of the continuous action, both Leo and the beast fell into a cave, although it looked oddly familiar in his eyes.

"Have I been here before?" Leo thought out loud as his eyes caressed the many golds and items that strangely failed to pique his slightest interest. Suddenly, a ring that lay on a pile of random materials caught his eye and he did not hesitate to pick it up.

A whole lot of images resurfaced in Leo's head as his gaze keened at the ring, and only after a couple of minutes did he turn his stare from the object. Luckily, all his lost memory had returned and he could finally explain where everything looked so familiar.

However, the peace did not last long before a familiar roar echoed into the cave. The cat-looking beast made its appearance with furrowed eyes that looked very unbefitting for its small body figure and bulgy eyes.

"How did you see remember here?" The voice of the cat squeaked in Leo's ears and he gave a light chuckle. But before he could react any further, the light from the animal's furs blinded the surroundings, and a feeling of nausea engulfed him.

When it all finally calmed down, Leo once again opened his eyes to a scene that looked very familiar, it was in the cell.

He stared at Argon with a bewildered frown while he listened to all the words that were just familiar enough that he could guess his next words. He then turned his gaze to his somewhat pale skin and it transformed into his fire-graded appearance, and then to the darkness behind, hoping to see the gigantic creature. But as expected, since he had transformed, the creature had automatically disappeared.

"Dude, you're acting weird!" Argon was quick to notice the sudden change in Leo's attitude and he did not border to hide his reaction.

However, Leo remained silent as the tiger-like creature appeared in the cell. Without wasting even a second, the creature began to dig into the ground, and within a couple of minutes, they crashed into the cave.

The cat creature already waited in the cave with a face that visibly expressed its frustration.

"Please wait!" Leo was the first to speak as he interrupted the creature from turning time back once again.

"Then get out of my lair, pick whatever you want, but just leave."

Leo looked appealed by the words of the creature, and he suddenly bent to the ground while he searched for the ring that unfortunately, blinded him from things that looked more valuable. Once he found it, he ran over to the jewel and picked it up from the ground.

"Now leave!"

"Before that, any other valuables?"

"Don't be a greedy cow!" The once squeaky voice deepened into a masculine and threatening one.

Leo wore the ring with a jealous smile and turned his gaze to the upper hole that had led him into the cave. He immediately flew upward and landed in the cell after some seconds.
