He was excited as he thought of all the possible rewards the system might give him, but he realized it was only an instant level up that the system promised. A wave of disappointment washed over him because that was the only reward.
Suddenly, a notification from the system appeared, and he immediately wanted to see what it said.
[QUEST ACHIEVED]
[REWARDS: Instant Level Up]
Roshan felt a surge of energy deep within, a renewal that coursed through his body.
[HOST LEVEL: Level 2]
[CURRENT ABILITY: None]
[STRENGTH: 11]
[AGILITY: 9]
[SPEED: 10]
[STAMINA: 8]
‹Mage Status›
[Mage Level: 0]
[Magic Ability: None]
[Mana Control: 0]
[HP: 15/15]
[EXP: 0/15]
[One free stat has been obtained]
Looking through his status, Roshan could only marvel. He had never expected this kind of reward. Every attribute had increased by one point for completing the quest.
He noticed something called a free stat. He wondered what it meant. It was as if the system had read his thoughts, because immediately a message appeared.
[A free stat is obtained when earned. The host earns it after a wise decision or a successfully planned victory. There are other ways to earn it, but due to the host's level, information is currently locked]
[A free stat can be added to any current attribute to improve it]
Roshan wondered what the system meant by "Information locked" but quickly focused on the fact he could increase one of his attributes.
He immediately thought of his lowest stat, Stamina. He had always tired easily, and he needed to fix that weakness.
[Stat added to Stamina]
[Current Stamina: 9]
It was a small improvement, but progress was progress. He smiled as he dragged the dead beast home.
---
Dragging the beast, he realized he had traveled far from home. His parents would be angry, but once they saw the food he had brought, they would be pleased. The thought made him grin.
As a skilled tracker, he followed the familiar scent of home, avoiding any trouble along the way. A faint smile appeared as he got closer.

“Darling, we are under attack,” Gray shouted to his wife. A few seconds later, the front door of their house exploded inward.
A group of five men dressed entirely in black, faces covered except for their eyes, stepped in.
The Night Wings. Gray knew instantly they were assassins.
He gripped his sword and assumed a fighting stance. He knew this fight would not be easy.
The man in front, with the most menacing eyes, stepped forward. He was clearly the leader.
He moved with blinding speed, swinging his sword. A loud clang rang out as Gray blocked it.
“Long time, no see, Teacher,” the man said, attacking again, aiming for Gray’s side.
Gray blocked with precise timing. “Looks like your moves haven’t improved,” he said, but he barely had time to speak as he stopped a kick aimed at his head, pushed back by the force.
“Surprised?” the young man asked, moving faster than before. Strike, kick, strike, punch. He kept Gray on the defensive, pushing him further into the house.
Gray knew he had to turn the tide. Flames erupted along the edge of his sword as he slashed. The air warped from the heat and force of a single swing.
The assassin tried to dodge but it was too late. Part of the flames struck him, burning his armor black, setting half the room ablaze.
Gray turned to check on his wife. “Ria, are you alright?” he called.
“I’m fine. Don’t worry about me,” came her soft, silky reply.
Ria was a powerful warlock. She had already taken down two of the weaker assassins on her own.
Now she faced the remaining two. The first attacked swiftly, aiming for her neck. The other struck at her side.
She needed precision or she would be hurt. She drew a dagger from under her coat, blocking the side strike, twisting her body just enough to avoid the neck slash, leaving only a small cut on her cheek. Blood trickled down.
“How dare you draw my blood,” she boomed, eyes turning fully white.
She lifted herself into the air, her hair and dress whipping wildly. She raised her hands, causing the floor beneath her to rise. A loud bang echoed through the room.
The second assassin watched his partner explode in blood across the room. ‘So this is the power of a warlock,’ he thought, stunned.
He tried to flee as rocks flew toward him. Reaching the door, he prepared to jump when a loud slash sounded. His head rolled to the floor.
Peace returned. All the assassins were dead. Ria sank to her knees, exhausted from using her powers.
Gray came to her side. “You did well, love. You took out more than me,” he said with a smile.

CHAPTER 83: MY MASTERPIECE
After much contemplation, Read rose to his feet. He was the one in the best shape among the rest.So he had the best chance.“I’ll go in and get Hera. Once I’m done, I’ll make it to the ship. If you don’t see me, don’t look for me,” Read said.A number of the soldiers wanted to refuse, but a single stare was enough to silence them.“I’m the strongest one here right now,” Read said, looking toward the destroyed city, “I’ll be able to make it. I’ll contact you first before anything.”“Are you ready, Kai?” Read looked at the yellow-haired man.Kai coughed out blood before rising to his feet.“Yeah. I’ll be fine,” he chuckled in response, wiping the blood on his clothes, hiding it from the others.A portal instantly materialized, and Kai coughed again, this time vomiting blood.“I have him,” Bahr said, moving quickly to grab the collapsing Kai.“Take him inside first,” Read ordered, “and the rest of you follow.”The other soldiers picked up Lans and Roshan, then walked inside. At the ship,
CHAPTER 82: NO MORE DEATH.
The golden dust flew in the air, drifting slowly and landing on different citizens. It looked like a scene from a movie, the golden hue mixing with the redness of the blood puddles beneath their feet.It gave a dark, haunting feeling, but deep in everyone's heart, there was relief. No more death. Those who had lost families, children, and relatives swallowed their grief, their trembling eyes falling on their hero of the day.“She’s not moving,” someone said softly, and the rest turned their heads.Hera was truly not moving. Her head hung low, and her hands rested limply by her side, her body completely still.A few of them rushed forward to help her, or at least carry her to a safer place. While some of them stayed back, hesitant.“What if she wakes up and uses that thing on us?” they whispered among themselves.“We can’t trust the power users. Our city was safe until they stepped in.”If Roshan had been here, he would have understood Heath’s behavior.Just as a few of them reached clo
CHAPTER 81: URIEL: ANGEL OF FIRE, BRINGER OF JUDGEMENT.
“Lans, are you sure you'd be able to manage?” Hera asked, charging up her mana, her voice carrying both urgency and restrained concern. There was no time to delay and once that monster was done leveling up, it could tear down the whole city, leaving nothing but ruin behind.Lans nodded, “Just get her ready, and I'd handle the rest.”He rushed forward, shoving fear out of his mind, burying it beneath sheer will. This was his chance to prove himself in front of Hera, he wouldn't let a simple emotion ruin it.His power was unstable and if there was no control, it could cause more damage than the Daegi, a truth he was painfully aware of.“I need twenty minutes, Lans.” Hera called and went down in a cross-legged position, her aura beginning to stabilize.Lans didn't turn back but he gave a nod, his focus already narrowing to the battlefield ahead.Sucking in a breath, Lans moved his hand and power flowed from within him, commanding the mana around him, bending it to his fragile will.“Spati
ANOTHER ONE EVOLVED
Hera realised she would not reach the boy in time and he could be slapped to a paste by the Daegi.“Wake up, Roshan!” She said to the boy, as she saw him plummeting into the ground but he didn’t move. She knew she couldn’t wait anymore. She had to activate judgement now.“Sacred Sword Projection: Judgement!” Hera cried with a loud voice and the light long sword in her hand grew bigger, its edges blazing with a loud amount of holy light. The sword moved towards the Daegi in an attempt to slice in two from the top.The Daegi felt a tingling sensation, and it turned around, ignoring its target on Roshan’s body.It immediately blinked away from the area of contact trying to move from the attack but Hera persisted turning her body and the sword. It was time to give this Daegi a piece of her mind.Something at the back of her mind told her that she wouldn’t be able to fully destroy this monster just like she did to the Tre-ant but it was worth it.“At least these people can escape with me
EVOLVING IN THE MIDDLE OF A BATTLE
[Opponent detected] [System Quest: Obliterate Opponent] [Quest Reward: Evolution] Roshan’s sword glowed brightly with fire as he stood with his back against Hera, holding her own bright light longsword. They both had to face different opponents, and their opponents weren’t giving them a breathing space. “Let’s go, Roshan.” Hera said, and at the sound of her voice. She activated her spells “Light element: Judgemental Rods.” At the sound of Hera’s voice. A dozen thick rods formed in front of her, ready to launch at the Daegi. “Would you need any help?” Hera said, directing her question to Roshan. “I don’t know yet.” Roshan replied calmly. He really didn’t know if he would be able to kill this thing but he definitely wanted to kill it. ------ He just wanted to get the satisfaction of killing it, the one thing that was the cause of his parents’ death. Roshan knew that this was not the exact creature that killed his parents. This was a human who was trapped in the body of this m

“Welcome.” Heath uttered with a wry smileRoshan only stared at him with boiling anger powering the intensity of his fire.“Shut your mouth, Heath. We aren’t done yet.” Roshan yelled furiously.“I’m done with you, Roshan. Weren’t you meant to be leaving? You had your chance to go and now you returned because of your selfishness. You neglected your friends and family to come back here, Roshan.” Heath cried out, and laughed.“Roshan, you fool. You have been blinded. This is what I like. A hero who thinks only about himself. I’m so happy that you are finally true to yourself.” Heath grinned widely. His face contorting into one of pure madness.“I said, Shut up!” Roshan moved swiftly, putting his attributes to use. A sword made of fire immediately appeared in his hand, burning fiercely as it mirrored the raging emotions of its wielder.Roshan brought the sword with full force but Heath had already moved away.
