"You never greet. You just barge into my fucking laboratory." Gandu yelled. Standing before him was David who stared at the former in surprise. He was naked, save for a little towel draped around his waist.

"I'll probably never unsee that." David spoke, feigning disgust.

Gandu snapped his fingers, "Hey, not everybody has a hot body like yours. Stop judging."

David chuckled, then settled on a chair. Gandu hurried off to the inner parts of the laboratory… a bathroom where he proceeded with his shower.

In the meantime, David sat, pondering over the current situation. The system hadn't bothered him since then, neither had he received any mission objectives. There he was, the shocking discovery of a lifetime known to him and the possibilities were infinite.

He remembered almost opening a portal to Aterista when Colleen held him, stopping him from proceeding any further.

"What?" He asked her.

"David. She's not a little child. She's fine. You don't have to go all in, finding her. I'm

"David?" "David. Can you hear me?""David!!!!!"The distant voice ended with a scream so loud that David felt his head was going to explode. With adrenaline rushing through his veins, he popped up, screaming back. A subconscious response to the shock he just received. He calmed after minutes of heavy panting, finally registering he was alive. He felt the soft cushion beneath him, and the thick, yet soft material on him. Where he was was dark, and felt like it hadn't seen light in years. He felt around and realised he was on a bed. Grunting, he pushed the thick duvet off him, then his feet touched the floor… the well polished wooden floor. He rose on his feet, almost stumbling forward. He felt his hands grab the wall."Wallpaper." He whispered, tracing his hands along it. There weren't wallpapers on the walls in Ladus. Suddenly, he knew where to feel, then tore his palms off the wall, turning to the other side. He walked over to it and stopped. "3…2…1" he counted his steps slowly,

David slowly walked towards their residence. After the recent hypothesis he had with Gandu on Audrey's abilities, he knew he definitely had his trump card now. This was his true path towards home. He hated the fact that he still had to make a decision on either leaving them behind or leaving his real life to be in despair. He weighed his options properly. Audrey, Colleen, Dana and the rest were family, people he had connected with. He was a player, the main character. The hero of the story and world. He was important and well regarded. However, back in the real world, he was just David Hart, a socially awkward person, secretly son of a billionaire and heir to one of the larger software developing firms in the world. Everything seemed perfect from the outside but within he was broken. A dead mother, a father who was never impressed, and inability to make friends with colleagues who saw him as the incompetent Nepo baby who had to be slotted into a part of the company anyhow just to j

There was turmoil in Aterista. The air shifted with tension as the thick horde of dark elves approached the kingdom from far out. The Fae screamed as they fled, each getting hunted down by assaults from the oncoming army. The once green land was beginning to experience horror even The Void's conquest never portrayed. Blood painted the green, creating a terrifying contrast.Audrey watched as they rushed forth, trying to scan them with her newly developed vision. To her shock, all she saw were just dark elves, nothing else. It now seemed as though she had lost her newly acquired features, or they were somehow nullifying her. She looked behind, Aterista's army was beginning to emerge from the castles, all flanking their general.… Nuran's father. "These things will kill them all." She muttered, concern evident in her voice. She dashed towards them, stopping right before the general who also stopped, avoiding an accidental clash with her. "General, tell your army to retreat. Now!" She

The elf king towered above a hill, watching his army prepare for the invasion they had awaited for millennia to happen. A fate known to him since the dawn of his existence. The reason unknown. Yet, he stayed loyal to the cause, awaiting that one day the enemies would be vulnerable. For some reason, he also had no idea why he didn't attack way back. They had been vulnerable multiple times."Why now?" He wondered. In that moment, a cold, eerie feeling swirled behind him, forming an entity that had him turning to face it. Before him was The One Beyond All and instinctively, he bowed. "My Lord." He uttered in submission. "Rise, Tolek. Rise." They said. He complied, his head still bowing. "I see you're fulfilling your destiny. I wonder why I forgot about you in the first place." "Don't bother thinking about the past. You'll only give yourself a headache. I am here for one reason.…to aid you." They stopped, then placed their left palm on his foreheads. He genuflect, allowing his head

  • Did I just rewrite reality?

Audrey's eyes fluttered open once more, meeting the sight of Nuran whose words to her were incoherent. Her head tingled, causing her to groan slightly. The effects of her previously concluded digital image projection to David still hurting her. "I'm fine." She managed to say, holding Nuran off from shaking her anymore. The latter hugged her tightly, asking, "Are you sure?" "I'm fine. Honestly it was just a minor thing." She responded. Sonia looked a bit concerned, but Malik was there, acting as Nonchalant as he could get. She chuckled inwardly. Who was he fooling? She got up, her vision revealing the codes around her. She shut her eyelids then opened them, the visions were gone. She wondered if she could just turn the vision on and off, then thought about seeing things as code. To her surprise, it worked. "Are you sure you're alright?" Malik asked. "Way better than I think I should be." She smiled, then turned back in the direction of the Kingdom. "Yes, we shall waste no more ti
