The air squeezed as a portal spawned releasing a young teenager as it spat him out on the grassy area.

Thud!

Dylan's body dropped on the hard ground but the grass caught his fall as he groaned.

Dylan looked around and he found himself in a vast grassland with no signs of shrubs or tall trees.

He groaned and stretched himself. Then he said, "Oh my goodness this place is quite massive I think and I can't imagine this as a training ground."

His words seemed to change the atmosphere, causing a shift that led to massive reptilian creatures starting to run towards Dylan.

Dylan's heart started racing and he couldn't comprehend what was about to happen to him.

"Oh my goodness how am I going to survive this?" Dylan inquired trying to think about his survival.

{Host is Scared!}

Dylan was shocked as he saw the notification he was gradually getting used to this system of a thing.

'It can detect my feelings?' Dylan inquired internally.

{Host must explore any possible option to survive the incoming attacks}

Dylan took in a deep breath and started to run in the opposite direction as his steps increased in pace.

Dylan looked around for something that he could use to attack the monsters until he saw a glowing sword seemingly planted on the ground.

'That's honestly a very strange weapon and it's actually convenient for me at this moment.' Dylan thought as he ran towards the weapon.

Dylan touched the hilt of the sword.

Zap! Krzzzzzzt!

Electrical sparks burst from the hilt of the sword shocking Dylan as he quickly removed his hands.

{Host must utilise available opportunities to survive the harsh terrain.}

Dylan read through the message on the holographic interface and he saw the reptilian creatures searching for him in their numbers.

"I must use this." He said summoning the courage to try to pull out the sword from the ground.

Dylan placed his two palms on the hilt of the sword as electrical sparks crawled from the sword and started to attack Dylan.

"Ahhhhhh! Noooo!" Dylan screamed but he didn't let go.

The reptilian creatures heard his scream and ran towards him until the beasts attacked him only to be shattered by an invisible forcefield.

The other creatures noticed this and started to gradually retreat to their former positions sensing something ominous.

{You have killed three reptilian monsters}

At that moment the notification popped up the sword pulsated and the electrical sparks halted as Dylan didn't cringe out of pain.

"Finally, I can...do. this...." Dylan said panting heavily as he pulled out the sword from the ground.

{You have found Dominic's Sword!}

"That's the name? I'll use this properly." Dylan said wearing an excited look on his face.

He swung the light-looking sword and it pulsated with ethereal energies.

He swung the blade once more as it sliced a perfect golden line of energy destroying the wave of reptilian monsters.

{You have unlocked the Dominic Sword's energy knitting capabilities.}

Dylan seeing the monsters he'd successfully neutralised with this new weapon felt a surge of hope and willingness to do more.

His heart jumped for joy as he ran towards the remaining creature and swung the blade once more.

Kaboom!

A powerful explosion occurred as a wave of golden energy was sent towards them, the wave's impact was felt across the field creating destruction in its wake.

Several reptilian creatures were blown into bits creating a sense of dominance on the battlefield.

"Let's do this mehn. I'm ready for this." Dylan uttered as he gripped Dominic's sword tightly.

Dylan threw his mighty sword as a boomerang as it cleaved through the bodies of several reptilian creatures sending them to their deaths.

The boomeranged sword returned to the hands of its wielder and it pulsated seeking more beasts to devour it was at that moment that Dylan heard a distant sound.

"What's that?" Dylan inquired as he sought the source of the sound.

Dylan looked and he saw a burly and tall reptilian creature with a scaly body. It seemed its scales were just like armour which it carried on its body.

"What type of situation is this?" Dylan asked noticing the impending threat.

Dylan took a deep breath, and he launched from behind a few trees as he threw the sword in the direction of the incoming beast.

The sword flew in like a boomerang and it cleaved through the neck of the reptilian monster killing it in the process.

Clank!

The sound of the metal sword rang across the battlefield as it planted itself in the ground once more.

The battlefield had been completely levelled as the objective had been completely achieved.

Dylan walked with pride beaming in his steps as he went towards his sword and removed it from its vertical position.

"Return to Inventory!" He said in a commanding tone.

{Dominic's Sword has been added to the Inventory}

{After a successful battle you have completed your training.}

{System's Host should stand by for transportation back to his homeworld}

Dylan's clothes were now stained with black blood signalling that he'd been fighting these monsters for several hours.

He didn't care he'd achieved the objectives laid out before him and that was his sole aim.

It didn't take long before his body vanished.

Ryan awoke from sleep as he stretched himself and he heard a few noises from his arms.

He cracked his knuckles and walked into the kitchen hoping to locate some food there to satiate his hunger.

He took quiet footsteps into his kitchen as he grabbed several food items from the cabinet and decided to make a spicy omelette.

The cooking process took about an hour but he was ready to finish the job and when he was done he dished out the meal.

'Life is complicated but you still have to navigate through its challenges.' Ryan thought to himself as he walked into the Sitting room.

He took the remote from the centre table and turned on the TV as he saw a news report was due to commence in a couple of minutes.

He waited for the news report as he ate the meal set before him.

It didn't take long before the news channel started its daily ritual which was reporting current happenings in the nation.

"This is the Dailies on Channel Four and my name is Jennifer Brown. For the past five months, Earth has experienced the introduction of a new type of humans the ones our scientists have called the gifted humans. These humans possess capabilities that make them stand out in terms of strength, power and impact. All this occurred after the invasion of the planet by an alien species we called the Ravagers they're vicious and fierce creatures with the ability to reproduce." The female reporter explained with several images to support her statement.

Ryan looked surprised as he watched the news report. It was barely five months since he was practically in a coma but now he was coming to the knowledge of threats like this.

"This looks strange," Ryan noted as he kept on watching the rest of the news report.

"As for the nation of Megalos, the government has been able to set up a preventive measure to tackle the attack of the invasive species. They're known as the Ultra Strike Force. That's all for today." The female reporter concluded the report returning the station to its normal programming.

Ryan arose from his sitting position holding the empty ceramic plate in his hands.

"At least I know what I'm doing today." He said planning to investigate the Ultra Strike Force.
