Chapter Five

The Lightning Spear was spawned in Ryan's hands and it was inundated with electricity as it surged with divine aura.

Ryan looked at the beasts running madly towards him and he smiled. "Let them keep on coming!"

Ryan struck the spear on the ground causing a mighty wave of lightning to be sent in an omnidirectional blast leveling all the beasts that came around Ryan.

Ryan speared through the rest that kept on racing towards him as he fought them with strength and vigour.

It didn't take long before they started mounting upon him as if they were stacking themselves on Ryan.

It didn't take long before a powerful omnidirectional wave of lightning sent them into disintegrated particles.

"Your time has come you merciless beasts." Ryan hollered as his face looked fierce.

Ryan continued his relentless assault on these beasts as he wasted no time in sending them to their graves where they belonged.

Ryan continued this until there was none left to fight.

Ryan panted heavily as his hands gripped the lightening spear tightly. "I guess that's the last of them."

It didn't take long before a lanky yet strong-looking creature spawned into existence, bearing a resemblance to a cow with a lion's body but having bulky, human-like legs.

It had a brownish-black body with a staggering height of eight feet.

"Roarrrrr! Roarrr!" The creature roared trying to induce fear into Ryan.

Ryan looked at the merciless creature and wore a smirk on his face.

"Prepare to face your doom!" Ryan uttered as lightning crackled around the tip of the spear.

"Summon Lightning Spears!" Ryan hollered as he ran towards the tall beast.

The lightning spears appeared out of thin air, and Ryan held them like a bunch of sticks, launching them towards the beasts, causing several powerful bolts of lightning to cascade upon them.

Krakoom! Krakoom! Krakoom! Krakoom!

"Ultra Strike!" Ryan hollered with hope in his heart of defeating this beast he speared it in the chest.

Kaboom!

A bright glow radiated from the spear causing a massive explosion within a 10km radius destroying the beast and reducing it to a massive pile of ashes.

Ryan survived the explosion but was now lying on the ground and he panted heavily before he said anything.

"It's over it's finally over, I actually beat this thing."

Ryan heaved a sigh as he finally had a chance at returning to the real world he was already used to. Ryan lay down on the ground as he closed his eyes and allowed the bright light that burst to envelop him completely.

After the light enveloped him he was teleported to his home world.

Somewhere in Megalos....

Ryan appeared out of thin air and was dead asleep as his body touched the soft grass on the soccer pitch.

This place was sometimes used for soccer games that enabled youths in Megalos to exercise and show off their athletic skills.

After several moments he awoke from his sleep and now it was nighttime and he arose with his clothes, dishevelled and a bit stained by the brownish earth from where the grass on the soccer pitch grew out from.

The bluish holographic interface popped up as it had a notification for Ryan.

"Check my profile," Ryan uttered as the System's Interface started to buffer.

Ryan was amazed after he'd assessed his inventory and he couldn't wait to use the items within them.

"Hold up there's more?" Ryan inquired inwardly as he was already shocked by what he'd received.

Ryan nodded affirmatively as he walked home. He found out that having a system was not just beneficial it was rewarding although its risks were deeply concerning.

Ryan took a different route since he knew the city well and he wasn't actually scared of anyone since it was nighttime. Although, Megalos Central was actually a very secure place to live, it did have scars of the terrorist group known as the Typhoon.

Ryan walked as the night breeze massaged his chest and his body was now looking like that of a herculean god. Ever since Ryan had bonded with the system he now looked much more athletic and muscular than he was before.

'It's actually quite interesting that I now look like one of those guys that are regularly seen at the gym.' Ryan thought as he entered the apartment building.

Ryan entered the elevator and took him to the right floor where his apartment was located, and he exited the elevator quite easily.

Ryan yawned out of tiredness as it seemed that this mission had taken a lot out of him.

"Is this how missions are?" Ryan muttered to himself as he entered his apartment.

Ryan quickly changed as he'd lost his shirt in the other realm and only had his trousers with him. He changed into a singlet and black shorts, which led him to quietly find his way to his bed.

It didn't take Ryan several hours before he found himself long gone into the world of sleep.

Dylan's eyes popped open in a new realm and he walked alone in this vast and empty room.

He'd realised that something was strange as the environment looked different from anything he'd ever seen.

Several silvery pillars stood inside this vast room and they seemed to glow.

The Interface appeared in the room having a greenish screen that displayed several words and icons on it.

{Would you like to participate in a training program?}

Dylan was confused about the whole thing.

"What the heck is the Dominator System?" Dylan inquired earnestly hoping for answers.

{I am your guide and a sentient being granting you abilities that'll enable you to dominate in ways you've never previously attempted to.}

Dylan's curiosity was calmed as he knew what the system was. "I guess I could know more about where I am."

Dylan's words fell on deaf ears as the place fell into seemingly eternal silence.

Immediately the air squeezed and a portal cracked open as Dylan was sucked into it without wasting time. After it'd sucked him in it immediately sealed up and the void and empty room returned to normal.
