Chapter 1: Meeting Ghosts

Zoe was an orphan, and his parents died in a car accident when he was just seven years old. But strangely, the boy did not shed a single tear, but just sat staring into the dark corner behind the two coffins and smiled. But for the child himself, what he saw were two spirits standing behind the coffin looking at him waving and smiling, it was Zoe's father and mother, this was also the first time he saw and knew. What is a ghost? After the funeral, Zoe was sent to an orphanage like any other child without parents. Zoe's parents were very focused on insurance before, so when they died, they also left him a large amount of money. But because there is no guardian, only when the boy reaches adulthood can use this insurance money. However, later on, they have enough money to pay for their studies until they grow up and become independent.

In the orphanage, there is no shortage of children, but Zoe herself has been used to being lonely since childhood, whenever his parents go to work, he can only play alone, the boy has an introverted personality, and does not like to talk much, and has a strong personality. He tends to hide away from the crowd, often hiding in the woods behind the school so that no one can see him, no one can say hurtful things to him. In the old dormitory, there are quite a few bedrooms, but there is only one toilet on the second floor, all the children are afraid to go there, because they tell each other a story, saying that in the toilet was born a child ghost, this child was teased by a group of friends to be dragged into the toilet and pressed his head on the toilet until he died, the child was about eight or nine years old when he died. But the guards here don't let anyone mention this, if they hear it, they will be punished, the punishment is of course standing alone in the toilet, so the kids here never talk. there during the day, just wait until they go to the bedroom together to turn off all the lights before whispering to each other.

Because of that ghost, as usual, before going to bed, the whole group invited each other to go to the bathroom, if in the middle of the night it was too expensive, they would try to lie down and endure the battle until morning, even if they died, they would not dare to go to the bathroom me. But if you die, you will become a ghost-like that child. So when someone in the middle of the night can't stand it anymore and has to go to the bathroom, the first person that wants to bring along is Zoe, because Zoe is the easiest to bully, the easiest to pull up, and especially you not afraid of ghosts. Just for that reason, Zoe and his little friend in the bathroom were afraid to become very close friends.

That little boy's name is Jill, and Jill is a ghost. The first time Zoe met Jill was on a summer night, Hebe the baby lying in bed next to Zoe, for some reason, having a stomach ache, Hebe rolled around for a while, really unbearable, crawling across the bed with his stomach, Zoe groaning.

“Zoe, please wake up Zoe, it hurts… Zoe.”

Zoe dreamily opened her eyes and looked at Hebe and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I have a stomach ache."

Zoe sat up quickly, "Let me go find some medicine."

He turned to get off the bed, but Hebe grabbed his hand and pulled him back, "No need, I want to go to the bathroom."

Zoe shook his head and looked at Hebe in dismay, seeing his pitiful pleading eyes again. It was so unbearable, Zoe waved at him to signal to go and sat there for a while walking in his pants. Hebe happily hugged his stomach and ran after him.

"Wait for me."

The bathroom was not far from the bedroom, walked a short distance across the corridor to the place, Hebe quickly ran in and closed the door, then opened the door again and poked his head out to warn Zoe.

"Don't go back first, remember to wait for me here."

Zoe nodded, barely standing outside looking at her reflection in the mirror, then sighed because she was sleepy, turned on the faucet to wash her face, then raised her head and pulled her sleeve to wipe the water from her face. He looked in the mirror again, bared his teeth, and then made a demon face to keep from falling asleep. Suddenly he saw a very clear white human figure appear in the mirror in front of him. The white shadow in the form of a boy was looking at him with its teeth bared, making a devil face, and smiling brightly, it didn't know he had seen it. Zoe stopped moving, he was very calm, this is not the first time he saw ghosts, other times in different places he also saw different ghosts, even more, terrifying than this ghost, but he always ignores them and pretends like a normal person can't see anything. This time too, the ghost was standing behind him, its image appeared in the mirror, still smiling, didn't realize it was seen, Zoe still looked in the mirror-like that without turning her head and not at all. appear scared or alarmed.

Zoe pretended to be sleepily turning his head to ask Hebe, “Are you done? I'm so sleepy, if I don't, I'll be back earlier."

"Do not." Hebe panicked, "I'm done."

Zoe got goosebumps with chills because the ghost's face was so close to his, that it only needed to move a little and their faces would touch. Zoe stood motionless, this ghost was not like the ghosts he had met, it seemed to be suspicious of something, it also stood motionless in front of Zoe and stared. If it stays like this, it won't be okay, a ghost, when it knows someone can see it, it will follow that person and won't let go whether it's on purpose or not, because it's lonely, it needs someone to play with.

The story, or simply haunts the people who see it, scaring them to death. Zoe understood this so he finally ignored it, walking calmly through the ghost, to the visible bathroom door.

"Hebe, sit down and I'll be there."

"It's done, it's done."

Finally, Hebe hurriedly pulled up his pants to open the door and walked out with relief. Zoe glanced at Hebe humbly and then opened the bathroom door to go out, Hebe also ran after him.

Not only did Hebe run after him, but something also followed Zoe's bedroom.
