Charles' blood boiled upon hearing Ludwig's extremely rude remarks. His entire body was consumed by anger.
Charles pointed at Ludwig with one hand. "You... how dare you say that!" His voice was filled with emphasis.
"He's such a fool! Doesn't he know who the White family is? He just insulted Master Charles."
"I think he's really just trying to find trouble."
Some people started talking again. Meanwhile, Ludwig remained standing and staring coldly. There wasn't a hint of fear in his body. With just a light touch, Ludwig could strike Charles down instantly.
He was an extraordinary war general; even the mere mention of his name would make anyone tremble with fear. His strength could defeat even thousands of elephants.
However, Charles stared at Ludwig disdainfully. He rolled up his shirt sleeves even higher. "I absolutely won't forgive you. Even if you kneel down and beg for forgiveness, I won't let you off easy," Charles threatened.
Ludwig didn't say a word. Only his sharp gaze emphasized the situation. Charles secretly realized that Ludwig seemed very domineering.
But once again, he reassured himself that Ludwig was just a regular soldier. It would be very easy to take him down with his hands.
Not wanting to waste any time, Charles immediately raised his hand and began to strike. Unexpectedly, Ludwig stopped Charles's movement with one hand. Ludwig caught Charles's hand just as it was about to strike him.
Charles was furious when he saw Ludwig's hand touching him. "Get your hand away. How dare you let that filthy hand touch me, damn it!"
"I'll make sure you pay dearly for this foolishness!" Charles emphasized.
Ludwig simply stared at him coldly. He looked so relaxed facing the fiery Charles.
Charles's breathing was rapid. The flames of fire were burning in his soul. This time, he immediately pushed Ludwig's hand away, but his jaw nearly dropped when he realized how incredibly strong Ludwig's grip was.
Despite his best efforts, Charles simply couldn't pry his hand away from Ludwig.
"Damn it. How could this happen?" Charles groaned inwardly. He hadn't expected Ludwig's strength to be far greater than he'd imagined.
Charles glared at him. "Let go of my hand, damn it!"
Ludwig exhaled. "You're the damned man. You're the one who attacked me."
Charles didn't want anyone to look down on him. Although he knew it was nearly impossible to overcome Ludwig's strength, he didn't want anyone to underestimate him.
He put on a haughty face. "You'll pay a heavy price if you don't let go of my hand immediately. You'll truly regret what you've done."
"You know, my family won't stand idly by. The White family will definitely make you suffer!" He threatened, hoping to instill fear in Ludwig.
He knew that if Ludwig had nothing left, he was certain he would give up.
“You know the White family has an acquaintance who is a great war general. I could report this, and you’ll lose your job forever.” This time Charles smiled. He was sure Ludwig would be truly afraid.
Once again, this wasn’t what Charles had imagined. The man remained standing, his gaze sharp. He didn’t even let go of Charles’s hand.
“This man is a real jerk!”
Ludwig raised one hand. He glanced at the hands on his watch. He had been waiting for over ten minutes, but James hadn’t arrived yet.
This made him extremely annoyed. “Why isn’t he here soon?”
Charles immediately laughed out loud. “Oh, you’re completely insane. In a situation like this, how can you still be in the mood to act?”
"Hey, idiot! No one wants to believe you. You're just a soldier, and don't act like a general who cuts off his men from coming to deliver the treasure." Charles's words were met with laughter from everyone there.
But then, Charles' expression changed to a more stern one. "Let go of me quickly, or I'll kick you hard. Before I fully unleash my inner strength, I'll still give you a chance."
Deep down, he was beginning to doubt he could defeat Ludwig. He hadn't expected his grip to be so unbreakable.
This time, Charles couldn't take it anymore. He raised his other hand, considering a punch. But suddenly, Ludwig released his grip and pushed him away. Charles's body immediately flew backward and crashed into the neatly arranged rows of tables.
Several neatly arranged wine bottles immediately fell, drenching his entire body.
"Damn it!"
He couldn't help but feel annoyed when he saw that his white shirt had become discolored.
This was a truly humiliating act. All eyes were on him.
"You bastard!" His teeth ground together. "I will definitely never forget this. Don't call me Charles White if I can't make you lose everything."
She was just about to get up, but felt her entire body ache.
This was impossible! Ludwig had only gently pushed her, and everything felt so painful. It was as if she had just been dropped from a high-rise building.
Meanwhile, Lyra was filled with worry. She knew Charles never played around with his words. And she knew full well who the White family was. They were known to be merciless. They had many connections that could seriously cost Ludwig his job.
Lyra immediately approached Ludwig. She looked at him pleadingly. "Hurry up and apologize to him, or he'll really cost you your job."
Truly, Lyra just didn't want Ludwig's life to get any worse. Ludwig had already lost his family and the Harold family's glory. So if he lost his job, it would only get worse.
Ludwig stared at Lyra. He didn't say anything. But this time, Ludwig returned his gaze to Charles.
Ludwig began to walk closer. This made Lyra feel relieved. Some people even thought Ludwig was giving up.
Charles secretly laughed triumphantly. He would make Ludwig truly prostrate himself at his feet, but he wouldn't truly forgive him after that.
"That's a good choice. Hurry up and apologize and prostrate yourself at my feet," Charles said loudly. He laughed triumphantly.
Ludwig stopped right in front of Charles, who was still sitting on the ground. Everyone was waiting for Ludwig to fall to his knees and apologize.
But suddenly, Ludwig delivered a powerful kick, sending Charles flying even further.
"Arrrgggh!"
Charles' scream echoed. Charles felt excruciating pain in his chest.
He stared at Ludwig speechlessly. The pain in his chest made it almost impossible to speak.
Hanry was truly worried. He immediately ran over, trying to help. But just then, he heard the sound of running footsteps.
"I'm sorry I'm late. I brought the 20 million dollars you asked for," a voice accompanied by rapid breathing made everyone turn to look at him.
