Two weeks later.....

It's been two weeks since George was last kicked out of the Langston residence, and the experience has been both thrilling and dark. George sat in his study room, going through some files of the company. It had been like this ever since, Leo dumped a whole bunch of company files for him to review the whole day, and left him hanging.

His phone buzzed with notifications, and he abandoned the files immediately opening his phone to see the notification popped up on his phone,

"wedding anniversary to the love of my life"

The calendar read, his heart clenched, and all the hurt he had buried the past few days just kept coming back.

He tossed his phone to the other side, only if they were still together, he had planned and reserved a date for them tonight to talk to her about his real identity and gift her an anniversary present.

"What are you lost in thought about?" Leo's voice echoed from the door, shattering his thoughts and snapping him back to reality.

George frowned upon seeing him, "What again? More files?" He breathed out, "You know, I'm beginning to wonder if I am truly this Whitmore heir you and my grandfather talked about."

Leo laughed, more like a gentle chuckle as he walked in fully.

"You have a sense of humor....that's great" He said then drifted his gaze to George's phone, "you got a message?"

George raised his gaze with his brows furrowed at him"How did you know?"

Leo swallowed playfully, "Judging by your countenance, you had a bad message, didn't you?"

"Yeah...I did..." He sighed. "My anniversary to Bianca is tomorrow and look where we are." George finished, but Leo remained awfully quiet, something was wrong, he lifted his gaze back to Leo, looking at him glaringly.

"Why? What happened?"

Leo sighs, "You're not going to love this so brace up."

"What are you talking about?"

Leo took out a wedding invitation, placing it on the desk, George's gaze instantly caught the name,

"Bianca Langston weds Henry Downs"

His heart broke into a thousand pieces, his vision went blurry for a brief moment, his heart was beating so fast that it could jump out of his chest, and the pain was unbearable. This was the height of betrayal.

"She's getting married tomorrow....at the family open field," Leo answered calmly, allowing George to sink in the information properly.

"Of all days...tomorrow?" He exhaled sharply, "You know, I gotta give it to them, they know perfectly how to break me."

"The invite came into Whitmore, apparently, they want the new CEO... They must have heard of your return."

George slowly opened the invite, "They want a Whitmore, right?" He said as he bit his lips, "Then a Whitmore, they'll get."

"You want to reveal yourself????"

"No, I can't but I will be there as George Garcia." He paused, as he balled his fist banging it on the desk, "Their useless son-in-law!" He cursed under his breath.

It was the day of the Langstons' wedding, and George dressed up in one of the finest French-made tuxedos, as he walked out of his room.

Leo stood outside George's room, tablet in his hands, and he took a good look at George.

"So how do I look?" George asked, dusting his suit.

"Ummm...I thought you wanted to give a George Garcia look, you're looking all Whitemore." Leo said bluntly.

George frowned, "Is that so?"

Leo nodded then picked up a shop bag from the couch, "here...." He said handing it over to him, "I got you what a Garcia would wear....no go change, Kyla just called."

George took the bag and glanced through, inside was a simple black pair of plain trousers and a blue striped long-sleeved shirt with a white T-shirt in it, and cheap palm slippers.

"Really?"

Leo nodded, "Yes, really..."

George scoffed, "I dressed better than this when I was with the Langtons."

“Then we give them what they expect,” Leo smirked.

“That you’re nothing without them, don't you think?"

A faint smile tugged at the corner of George’s lips. "I think I'm beginning to realize why my grandfather kept you for this long."

Leo smiled proudly, "I'm smart...I know... now go get dressed"

"Fine..."George got up and shortly walked out, dressed in plain trousers and a blue striped shirt, the white T-shirt was showing just around his neck, he looked simple but comfortable, his hair was styled the way George Garcia would.

"You're ready...." Leo beamed from ear to ear, "Your Uber is outside waiting for you, to take you to Kyla's house."

"Thank you," George said, sliding the invite into his breast pocket, the Uber was ready, he got in, and drove off to Kyla's.

By the time they got there, she was dressed in a simple black backless dress, with its straps wrapped around her neck, for a moment she was in shock seeing him dressed that way.

"Did I get the memo wrong or..." his voice trailed as he walked up to her,

"No you're not." He smiled, his hands crossed behind his back, "You're dressed perfectly for the event."

"Did Leo put you up to this?" She said rolling her eyes playfully,

"Absolutely.....I don't want to reveal my identity yet so there you have it.."

"And we have to ride that Uber....?" She asked not so sure about that part.

"Wha with the hesitation? Ubers don't bite." George says, playfully as he opens the door for her.

"Well, I've never been in one before.." she said her eyes glaring in hesitation.

"Then this is a first..."George answered, beckoning her to enter. "We'll be late, we don't want to miss all that drama."

"This should be exciting" A warm smile flashed as she finally got in. George shut the door slowly as he got in also from the other side.

"So what now?" Kyla asked.

George admired her naivety, then turned to the driver,

"Take us to the Langston open field....we have a wedding to attend" He said with a void of emotion in his voice.

The Langston open field had been decorated to the nines-or so the planners had intended. Each of the twelve ivory rose and pale gold floral pillars that marched the length of the yard, stood dressed in the most diaphanous white silk. Each floral arrangement, twined through the ivory roses, connected in three varied sizes of diamond and crystal chandeliers suspended by arches, strung over the rows of precisely arranged plump chairs spread over the lawn, their lights flickering in the light of the diminishing sun. Business moguls, politicians, and socialites alike sat face to face, awaiting the biggest wedding of the society season.Right in the center of it all sat a giant floral altar at the end of a long, white aisle, complete with white flowers. The scene could have been a wedding advertisement, and was picture-perfect.It was just not for the bride.Bianca stood at the opposite end of the white aisle from the guests and bridegroom who would be arriving in a few moments, her face a

He said quietly. He rested his back on the car seat. George stared at him for a moment, "He knows something that I don't.." his thought said inwardly, "So.....Whitemore.....how rich is Whitemore?" George was throwing off his gaze at the window. He noticed they had driven past a gate and the serenity looked heavenly, it was night but he could see the beauty of the greenery."Rich? That's an insult.." the old man scoffed. "We are money itself" he boasted, and just immediately, the car drove into the vast beauty of a kind view. The Whitemore build stood tall and Eminent, the golden light casting off its beauty. The building looked like the house of a British king, with the same structure and design.
