Then Canavro rummaged through his bag, took out a cloak and a ring, and gave them to me, saying.

"Before we go to the village, put on this robe first and this ring" said Canavro, holding my robe and robe and pointing his hand at me.

"Suspicious... and what's with this ring? Do you want to propose to me? Are you gay?" I said.

"What!!? You reject my kindness! "Said Canavro.

Then Lucy interrupted our conversation by saying.

"You don't need to be afraid of that, Mr. Drachoid. It's a witch's scent cover and an aura concealer "said Lucy.

"smell mask and aura concealer? What for?" I said.

"That's because most of us Dark Centaurs don't like the smell of witches, and there are also some Dark Centaurs who can feel the threat of someone, especially with the instinct from my brother that you are dangerous. Of course, many of the Dark Centaurs can see the aura you emit and will immediately see you as a threat" Lucy said.

"oh.. I see" I said.

Then I took the robe and ring given by Canavro and put them on. And after that, we left for a village in this Death Wood area, guided by Canavro in front with his horse and me and Lucy behind.

(has he trusted me?).

On the way, Lucy asked me about why I got into Death Wood. Lucy also said.

"So what made you come here, Mr.Drachoid? what makes a witch like you come to this dangerous place?" said Lucy.

Because I don't particularly appreciate being called by my last name, I decided to contact me by my first name. I said.

"Just call me Oz" I said, smiling at Lucy.

Then Lucy responded by saying.

"Okay, Oz…" Lucy said.

After that, I answered a question from Lucy by saying.

"I just don't know where else to go" I said, looking down.

Then Canavro immediately interrupted my conversation with Lucy by saying.

"Just wandering around?" he said.

"Yeah.. Something like that" I said.

"Are you running away from something or something?" Canavro said.

Lucy saw her brother deeply, as Canavro had experienced the same thing. The question from Canavro really hits my heart, so I can't answer it right away.

"Yeah.. Something like that" I said.

Then Canavro joked with me. he said.

"which certainly has nothing to do with me, right" Canavro said with a happy face that intended to cheer me up.

Then Lucy changed the subject. She looked at my scarred face from my fight with his brother and said.

"What's wrong with your face Oz? It's bleeding" Lucy said while looking at the wound on my face.

Then I answered a question from Lucy by saying.

"Ah .. This is the battle wound earlier" I said.

Then Lucy was surprised by my statement that I didn't heal the small wound on my face with magic. he said.

"Are you not treating it with magic?" said Lucy, who was surprised.

"ah.. I'm currently not available now" I said.

(I couldn't be more precise).

"Do you want me to treat it?" said Lucy.

"Needn't" I said.

"I'll treat it here. I'll be afraid of infection" said Lucy.

"It's okay, we will arrive at the village" I said.

"Should be now" said Lucy with a serious look.

Then Canavro interrupted our conversation by saying.

"Just follow my sister, 'Witch' " he said.

"Call my name at least!" I said.

"Heh.." said Canavro arrogantly and looked up from me.

Then our journey stopped, and I treated the wound on my face for a while. Lucy pointed her hand at me and cast a spell განკურნე (gank'urne/Heal), and suddenly around her hand was a magic circle and healed my wound. I was surprised by that, and I said after he finished his healing magic.

"So you Centaurs can also use magic?" I said.

Then Lucy answered my question by saying.

"Of course" said Lucy.

After that, Canavro relaxed his midriff, which was hit by a fist from me earlier, and his sister said.

"What's wrong with you, brother?" said Lucy.

"This witch bastard hit me earlier so my bones are crooked" he said while relaxing his solar plexus area.

"What the bastard!!" I said.

"So, is your body relaxed now, brother?" Lucy said.

"Not yet. For some reason, it's difficult even though it's usually easy" said Canavro.

"Let me see your body" I said.

Then I roughly relaxed her body. Then Canavro said.

"Did you do it right !!?" he said while feeling sick.

"Take it easy" I said.

"aaa... Aaakjh.. Aakjhhhh" screams Canavro, who feels pain because I relax his body.

After that, his body became better, and we continued our journey.

"You're great too. Where did you learn that?" Canavro said.

"I learned that myself at home when I was little. I was often injured during physical exercise" said.

"Physical training even though you are a witch?" Canavro said.

"Yeah, that's it" I said.

Then Canavro stopped in his tracks and said.

"Maybe now you can still hide your identity, but when we meet the village head, it will be a different story" said Canavro.

"So we will meet the village head?" I said.

Then Lucy interrupted us by saying.

"Yes, that's true because before you're allowed to walk around, you have to talk to the head of the village first" said Lucy.

"Actually, I'm very hungry right now, will there be food there later?" I said.

(Why didn't I faint? I haven't eaten or drink anything for 3 days. That stone on the lake is very suspicious).

Then finally, we arrived at the village gate. Canavro spoke to the guard first and then entered the village. The village is very peaceful, with rice fields and so on and finally, I arrived at the village head's house.

After that, Canavro knocked on the door and immediately opened it.

( it's not polite!!).

"We're home!" said Canavro.

"Wait so you live here!?" I said.

"Yes, that's true. I'm also his son" said Canavro.

"I-Is that so" I said.

"I will stable the Canavri horse first, and I will follow later" said Canavro.

Then Lucy took me to her father's place by saying.

"Oz, come with me to daddy's place" said Lucy.

"Okay," I said.

Then I was directed to the village chief's room. When it was in front of the room door, Lucy stopped me first and entered the village head's room. Lucy checked whether the village head was busy or not. And after finishing checking it, Lucy came out of the village head's room and approached me. Lucy also said.

"Come in Oz…" Lucy said.

I opened the robe that covered me and entered the village head's room. This room is the village chief's office. I was ordered to sit on a chair before the village head's office desk.

"Where is the head of the village?" I said.

Then the village head turned his stool as he said.

"You looking for me?" said the head of the village.

Then I was stunned by the village head's demeanor, saying.

"cool" I said.

Then the head of the village was also happy and said.

"It's true, isn't it?" said the head of the village with a happy face because I praised him.

This village chief didn't have long ears; his skin wasn't bluish-black either but was white like mine. It looked like they weren't his biological family.

"Ah, Oz… I'll be out for a while, okay.. Just relax and talk to my dad" said Lucy.

"Okay" Isaid.

After Lucy left the room, the village chief started to look serious and said.

"So what brings you here?" said the village head.

Then I thought to introduce myself before answering the village chief's question. I said.

"Previously, my name is-" I said.

When I intend to introduce myself, the village head immediately cut off the conversation by saying.

"That's not necessary. I've heard it from Lucy" I said the head of the village.

Then I answered the question from the village chief. I said.

"For rough purposes anyway. I want to ask for food because I haven't eaten for three days anyway" I said.

Then the village head offered the cake that was on a plate on his table by saying.

"food huh... do you want these three cakes first and then tell me?" said the head of the village while lifting the cake on the plate in front of me.

Then I immediately devoured the three cakes until they ran out quickly, and were not ashamed to say.

"Is it allowed?" I said.

"There are still three pieces left" said the village head.

( Great.. The cake just appeared on this plate… ).

Then I finished the three cakes on the plate quickly and said.

Then there was silence for a moment, and the village head returned to his serious face as he said.

"What is your purpose?" said the village head.

The village head's words were cut off because suddenly, someone entered the room.

"I'm in! "Said Canavro in a loud voice.

"What are you doing even though I'm being serious right now!!?" Said the village head.

"I also want to hear this bastard father" Canavro said.

"Who's the bastard? Damn it!?" I said.

"I told you to call me daddy, not a father! "Said the village head.

When the village head and Canavro relaxed, we finally started talking.

"So, What is your purpose?" said the head of the village.

I paused momentarily and contemplated whether these people could be trusted, but I pushed those thoughts away. It seemed that what Canavro said earlier was true that I couldn't hide anything from this village chief. It wasn't because he was feared, but it was because the people in the village highly respected him. Maybe the people here I can trust... .

"It's becaus--" I was cut off.

My words were cut off because another person entered inside.

"Whoever wants to eat, raise your hand" said Lucy, who interrupted the conversation by bringing food.

"ME!! ME!! ME!!...." I said, and Canavro raised his hand.

"Please don't bother me when I'm serious, and also, why are you also joining Canavro!!!" said the village head.

"I'm really hungry now, Father. Are you not hungry?" Canavro said.

"I told you to call me Daddy! "Said the village head.

I smiled at the village chief because I had never felt like this before. I'm happy to be here.

(Is this what is called family i wanted?).

The village head turned towards me again and returned my smile, and said.

"Then let's just eat!!" said the head of the village.

"YEAY!!!" the 3 of us said.

Gia stepped into her private room with graceful yet emphatic movements. At the doorway, Fred stopped. He turned and gave a sharp stare that seemed capable of freezing the blood of anyone who dared to approach."Anyone who crosses this line without my permission will have their status in this church destroyed. The Saint does not want to be disturbed," Fred's baritone voice echoed coldly down the hallway, ensuring that the order could not be disputed. As soon as the thick oak door closed and locked, the atmosphere in the room changed completely. The warmth of the morning in the Basilica was nowhere to be felt here. I took a deep breath, letting the holy aura I wore as a "mask" in public melt away, replacing it with a much stronger aura of authority.I activated The White Fragment of the Philosopher's Stone inside my body. Instantly, pure and cold mana pressure radiated from my chest, enveloping the entire room. In this room, I was no longer just a Vatican Saint; I

  • Chapter 1: Part 70

The first morning sun of 1889 began to slip through the cracks in the velvet curtains, creating golden lines of light on the marble floor. I blinked, feeling my body much lighter after a very deep sleep. When I turned to the side, I found Fred still fast asleep. This was a rare sight; usually he was the first to be up and standing beside my bed in his neat cardinal's robe. But this morning, he looked very different from usual. His face, which usually looked stern and authoritative, now looked calm and relaxed in his sleep.I smiled slightly, then began to tease him. My fingers moved slowly, playing with the tip of his nose, then moving on to caress his slightly rough cheek. Fred groaned softly in his sleep, his head moving slightly to avoid my touch, but he didn't wake up. I laughed softly without a sound and returned to playing with his eyelids, rubbing them gently with my index finger.Slowly, Fred's eyes opened. He blinked several times, trying to gather his

My footsteps echoed on the long, cold marble floor of the Vatican corridor. The heavy outer robe now enveloped my body, making my every movement feel stiff and formal. Fred walked one step behind me, his red cardinal's robe sweeping the floor with a rhythmic swish. As soon as we left the private residence wing, the relaxed atmosphere of the egg tea vanished, replaced by the sharp scent of incense and the tension hanging in the air.The two nuns trailed far behind, while along the corridor, the Guardians stood at attention with their spears, saluting as we passed. I took a deep breath, adjusting my expression. Slowly, the teasing, lazy Gia disappeared, replaced by the majestic, cold, and secretive Saint."Remember, Gia," Fred whispered very low, almost inaudible to anyone but me. "Hold your energy until the last hymn. Don't let them see you tremble."I didn't answer, only gave a small nod that was almost invisible. We entered the inner balcony area that fa

  • Chapter 1: Part 68

Night, Vatican city, 31 December 1888 AD As the year continues, I am currently drinking a famous Asian beverage. People there call it egg tea; they mix tea and eggs and stir them until smooth. Even when mixed with milk, it makes the taste stronger. (Drinking this before the big annual event relaxes me from all the tasks I have been working on.)The annual major event at the Vatican is the Vigil and Te Deum, a sacred ritual in which all the time that has passed is summarized in one grand prayer of thanksgiving.Behind the tall windows of my room, the silhouette of St. Peter's Basilica stood solidly under the dark night sky. The cold December air crept in through the marble cracks, but the warmth of the porcelain cup in my hands was far more powerful. As a Saint, the burden of prayers from thousands of people seemed to weigh heavily on my shoulders tonight. I knew that church officials and important guests had already begun to fill the pews below, awaiting my presence as their interme

"Why are you just silent, Oz?" Claire asked in a calm but emphatic voice. She didn't yell, but gave him a look that demanded honesty. Oz's prolonged silence began to feel unnatural to her, as if an invisible wall had suddenly separated them.Claire folded her arms on the table, maintaining her dignity even though the atmosphere in the inn was getting tense. She realized that every second that passed without an answer would only deepen the doubt between them. To her, Oz's current calmness seemed more like avoidance than just a thought process.(His attitude is very strange. What is he really thinking behind that mask? Did my question touch on something that should have remained hidden?) Claire thought to herself.Meanwhile, Leo, who had been explosive, now showed a drastic change in behavior. He no longer interrupted with curses or anger. Now he just sat stiffly with a blank stare, as if all his energy and emotions had been drained in an instant for no apparent reason.Claire glanced at

Holmes leaned forward until his shadow covered the dull wooden table. He ignored Leo's trembling fist and Claire's scrutinizing stare as she sat stiffly in front of him. The talented detective's focus was entirely on the mysterious figure in the black cloak."So, Oz," Holmes began provocatively. "Let's talk about last night at the Guild. You managed to pull that red fragment out of the receptionist's body, didn't you? Moriarty... a consciousness capable of splitting itself. Now you must be able to sense all of their presence in this city."Oz remained motionless, but behind his mask, he felt the constant pulse of the red energy he had just assimilated. Holmes was right; he was now connected to a vast network of consciousness, but everything felt like a thick fog that was both confusing and suffocating."I can feel their presence," Oz's voice was low and echoing. "But there's a big problem. Thousands of consciousnesses are scattered evenly at the same time. I don't know which one is rea
