Drachoid Oz... that's my name. I'm 12 years old. My parents have been gone since I was 6 years old. That's what my guarantor said. I sometimes feel lonely when I think about my parents not being around, but still, I have to be strong and not be a crybaby like other kids.

As I said earlier, I have a guarantor. Her name is Syeilendar Eva. She is the principal and founder of a famous school of magic called Syeilendar. She is an old blonde woman who is 580 years old with a youthful face.

Age is average for a witch, but usually, when they are over 400 years old, will look even slightly wrinkled on their faces. I often peeked her while doing some magic, and at that time, I fell in love with magic and wanted to learn it too.

When I wanted her to teach me, she refused and reasonable magic should be learned when I was 12 and accepted into a magic school. I was a little disappointed but had no other choice but to wait.

To fill my free time, I read books in the library. But when I wanted to touch the book about magic chants, Eva would immediately hit my hand with a stick.

Then, when I'm feeling bored, I fill my free time with physical exercise. Because I think I can create new magic from physical training. But still, it is just wishful thinking.

That's the story of my life, and now I'm finally 12 years old. I've been admitted to the magic school as promised. I'm so excited to learn magic in school. My guarantor said, I'm need to following the selection to entered the Magic School.

Now, i'm currently stepping on the transportation stop of Syeilendar Magic School. The transportation is a royal carriage with winged horse. The race horse is Kalë fluturues. There is a theory that says it's Pegasus, but there are also those who argue with a theory that makes sense too. Like, Is this actually just a type of horse that mates with a bird? Well there are so many theories.

While I was daydreaming, suddenly someone came up to me. I direct my gaze to the left.

A man was standing beside me, probably waiting for transportation too. He have white hair, like grey, and he have blue eyes. I thought the style he wore today was so cool, so I accidentally said "cool" to him.

I covered my mouth because is embarrassed. The guy immediately looked at me and said "Excuse me?"he said, looking at me and smiling.

His smile like poker fake because his facial expression was like a forced smile, or you could say nobility face.

(Did I make him angry?)

"Ah-I'm sorry, I just think your style today is very cool" I said in a slightly awkward tone.

(What did I say, you idiot!!?)

And he immediately replied, "It doesn't mean I want to destroy your expectations, but if you talking about my style is originally descendants" he said while returning his face while facing down and smiling.

(That makes it cool)

"Oh... So that's your real hair. I thought you deliberately styled it that way" I said while getting closer to him.

I need to introduce myself "Ah- I am Drachoid Oz. Nice to meet you" I said.

"Platina Cheilos, nice to meet you mr. Drachoid" he said, and we shook hands.

"Just call me Oz" I said.

"Well, nice too meet you Oz" he said.

"So, Cheilos…, are you also going participate in the selection too?" I said.

I saw him pause for a moment as I tried to be humble with him. Then he began to answer my question by saying.

"Why do you ask that?" said Cheilos.

"Because you could be my senior" I said.

"No, I'm not. I also want to take part in the selection. Besides, from what you can see from my uniform, I don't have an emblem on my shirt and robe. And also, yes... Surely there's nothing more proud than attending the best magic school?". He said.

Cheilos said that one who had become a student at magic school would have the House Crest on his clothes and robes. The existence of the emblem serves to find out which student is from which dormitory. This school of magic requires its students to live in a dormitory. The dormitories are grouped into 4: Dragon, Pegasus, Feather, and Owl. The appearance of the emblem corresponds to the name of each dormitory.

After Cheilos said that, I spontaneously took his hand and held it.

"Yeah, that's true I also think like that! "I said while making a happy face to him.

"Can you take your hand off?" he said with a smile of nobility.

"A- ah.. sorry" I said.

In between my conversation with Cheilos, there was a red-haired girl with long red hair behind me while interrupting my conversation with Cheilos. The girl said.

"Cheilos... why are you bothering to take the public train?, even though my father was already excited about riding us with his horse-drawn carriage," said the woman in a lazy tone.

"None of your business, Vanessa," said Cheilos, glancing at the woman.

Then I interrupted their conversation by saying.

"Cheilos.. she is your friend?" I said.

Vanessa looked silent too when I said that.

"Friend? We are not. Just our families know each other" said Cheilos.

"Ah.. I see.." I said.

Then I looked at the girl saying.

"I'm Drachoid Oz. Nice to meet you" I said while extending my hand towards the girl.

"Drachoid? An unfamiliar family name huh" she said with a little smile.

"Don't blame me. After all, I didn't want to be born to my parents, right?" I said jokingly.

"I'm Vanessa, nice to meet you too" she said while taking my hand to shake.

After I shook hands with Vanessa, the carriage finally came. Me, Cheilos and Vanessa got into the horse-drawn carriage.

A few minutes later, the horse ran while carrying the carriage to the end of the cliff where the transportation was taking out its wings. Finally, the horse-drawn carriage flew away. 

I opened the window so that the carriage would be very cool, and the view is also very good from above, I can see the city, forest, dungeon, village, etc. We talked in the carriage until we didn't feel that the horse-drawn carriage we were riding had arrived at the Syeilendar magic school.

We got out of the carriage and looked around. The school like a castle, and around it there are many people like us taking the entrance test, maybe more than 50 to 100 people. They all have magic equipment expect with Cheilos and Vanessa.

(Why are they all carrying magic equipment? Even though the exam is just a written exam. Will there also be a trial test using magic for the first time?)

As we took our exam numbers in the hall, I approached a different room and waved at them.

"See y'all later!" I said.

I immediately went to the exam room.

As Oz heads to his exam room Cheilos and Vanessa look at Oz, and Vanessa rolls her eyes. Instantly her red pupils let out a light and when she closed her eyes and opened them again, the eyes had stopped shining and returned to normal. After that, Vanessa made an evil face and smiled.

"Without MANA!? is he a spy!?" Vanessa said with an evil face and smiled.

Then she looked at Cheilos while maintaining her expression and said.

"Are you now a traitor to Platina Cheilos?" said Vanessa.

Cheilos felt a little threatened after Vanessa said that, but Cheilos didn't show a scared face instead, he also smiled while looking at Vanessa and said.

"Stupid conclusion, how could I want to betray my family" said Cheilos.

Vanessa narrowed her eyes slightly while looking at Cheilos and said.

"Yes.. Of course, How could Cheilos betray his father" Vanessa said with a smiling expression and patted Cheilos's back with her hand.

"Stop it!" said Cheilos, who didn't like his back being patted.

Cheilos was a bit bothered by Vanessa when she said that.
