Prologue: Part 8

After eating in the dining room, I told them my story, and they were surprised by what I said. Lucy was most surprised and said

"That's so cruel!!" Lucy said with a sad face.

"Don't be sad, Lucy.." I said

After that, the village head repeated his question while still in the village head's office. The village head said.

"So may I ask again... What is your purpose here, Oz?" said the village head.

"I want to learn a magic" I said.

"For what?" Village Head said

"For protect myself" i said with serious face

Then the village head thought for a moment because of what I said, and after that, the village head said.

"You said you found a blue stone in the chest, right?" said the village head.

"That's right," I said

"Maybe, that's it philosopher stone, and you accidentally absorbed it," said the village head

"The philosopher's stone? Like the one in the fairy tales?" I said

"The philosopher's stone is not just a fairy tale. During the war with Tara Shabate (ordinary humans), the stone was very troublesome for us, and the person who used the stone exploded because of the excess mana in his body," said the village head

(So I will also explode sometime?)

"So you also joined the war?" I said

"I was forced by someone" he said

(Someone?)

The philosopher stone was originally one and broke into 6. The philosopher's stone has a color that matches with the color of the magic element.

Red which is the same as fire, blue which is the same as water, green which is the same as the wind, yellow which is the same as the earth, white which is the same as the light. , and black as darkness. But, in philosopher stone, red means destruction, blue means freedom, green means life, yellow means control, white means purify, and black means contaminated.

The stone I have it's blue, which means freedom. It suits me, who likes freedom, because I have always been at Eva's house since I was little. I have no neighbors or friends because Eva's house is very far from the village.

The war that the village head said earlier was a war that occurred because Tara Shabate (ordinary humans) considered us witches as demons. For our history, this war is called ኲናት ኤውሮጳ (The European War), but for them, the history was not a war but was called the Witch Hunt. Witches were so enraged by that name that it could be concluded that they did not presume to have been at war with us but rather <hunted> us. The war had ended with a peace agreement not to harass each other.

"So? Are you still interested in teaching me to use magic?" said the village head.

I forgot Everything I was thinking when I heard the head of the village talk about teaching me magic. I don't care about everything because I only care about magic. It's because I love magic. I spontaneously immediately answered the question from the village head and said

"I want it" I said seriously.

Then the village head asked me again and said

"Are you not afraid that your body will explode, as I said before?" said the village head

"I just wanted to learn since childhood. If we talk about whether my body will explode or not, rather than exploding without being able to do magic, it's better to explode but be an expert at magic" I said

After I'm said that, the village head show a little smile to me and said

"It seems you so like magic, huh... you look like someone I know" said the village head

(If I meet someone who is known by the head of the village, we can definitely get along)

"Then tomorrow, I will teach you how to do magic. For now, rest in the guest room first," said the village head

"Let me show you" said Lucy

"thank you" I said

Then when I was about to leave, the village head stopped me by asking something. The village head said

"Oz" he said

"Yes?" I said, which stopped because of the head of the village

"Can you take off the ring?" said the head of the village

I took off the ring that Canavro gave me, and when I took off the ring, the village chief made his pupils glow a little. As his pupils lit up a little, the village chief was very surprised to see me. The village chief stopped the tiny light in his pupils by closing his eyes. And after that, the village head said

"Use it again" said the village head

(?)

"A-alright" I said

Then I left the room and went to the guest room.

As Oz left for the guest room, Canavro asked his father something about me. Canavro said

"Father saw it with the magic eye earlier, right?" Canavro said

"Yes, that's right" said the head of the village.

"What did father see from him?" Canavro said

After Canavro asked this, the chief looked at Oz's back from behind. The village head was a little pensive as he thought of the right words to say what Oz would look like in his magical eyes. Then after the village head was reflective, the village head began to answer his son's questions. The village head said

"Monster" said the head of the village while looking at Oz's back from behind.

Canavro was a little surprised by the statement made by his father because he was not very good at using the magic eye. When he met Oz in the forest, he immediately backed away from Oz because he felt threatened by him. He immediately made a defensive stance from Oz because the skill of his horse named ინსტიქტი (Instinct) was not from the magic eye.

The black centaur had a horse that was born when he was born. The horse born at the birth of the black centaur will share skills with him. For example, if Canavro has hunting skills, then Canavri also has hunting skills too, and because they are have 2 skills, so the skill have multiplier ability.

"So where will Father train him?" Canavro said

"Where I trained you first, tomorrow, please take Oz there, Canavro" said the village head

"Okay…" Canavro said while also looking at Oz's back

The village chief looked at his son with a deep gaze. The village head spoke in his mind by saying.

(Usually, in this situation, Canavro would immediately refuse because he was lazy or looking for other reasons to refuse, but, right now, he immediately accepted, maybe because he felt Oz's current situation is somewhat similar to what he is currently experiencing)

Canavro turned to his father, and their eyes accidentally met. Canavro asked the reason why his father looked at him so deeply. Canavro said.

"What's wrong, Father?" Canavro said, looking at his father

His father answered a question from Canavro by saying.

"Nothing" said the head of the village while looking back at Oz

(Oz would probably think of this kid as a little brother) said the village head on his mind

"And didn't I tell you to call me daddy!" said the village head while looking at Canavro

Gia stepped into her private room with graceful yet emphatic movements. At the doorway, Fred stopped. He turned and gave a sharp stare that seemed capable of freezing the blood of anyone who dared to approach."Anyone who crosses this line without my permission will have their status in this church destroyed. The Saint does not want to be disturbed," Fred's baritone voice echoed coldly down the hallway, ensuring that the order could not be disputed. As soon as the thick oak door closed and locked, the atmosphere in the room changed completely. The warmth of the morning in the Basilica was nowhere to be felt here. I took a deep breath, letting the holy aura I wore as a "mask" in public melt away, replacing it with a much stronger aura of authority.I activated The White Fragment of the Philosopher's Stone inside my body. Instantly, pure and cold mana pressure radiated from my chest, enveloping the entire room. In this room, I was no longer just a Vatican Saint; I

The first morning sun of 1889 began to slip through the cracks in the velvet curtains, creating golden lines of light on the marble floor. I blinked, feeling my body much lighter after a very deep sleep. When I turned to the side, I found Fred still fast asleep. This was a rare sight; usually he was the first to be up and standing beside my bed in his neat cardinal's robe. But this morning, he looked very different from usual. His face, which usually looked stern and authoritative, now looked calm and relaxed in his sleep.I smiled slightly, then began to tease him. My fingers moved slowly, playing with the tip of his nose, then moving on to caress his slightly rough cheek. Fred groaned softly in his sleep, his head moving slightly to avoid my touch, but he didn't wake up. I laughed softly without a sound and returned to playing with his eyelids, rubbing them gently with my index finger.Slowly, Fred's eyes opened. He blinked several times, trying to gather his

My footsteps echoed on the long, cold marble floor of the Vatican corridor. The heavy outer robe now enveloped my body, making my every movement feel stiff and formal. Fred walked one step behind me, his red cardinal's robe sweeping the floor with a rhythmic swish. As soon as we left the private residence wing, the relaxed atmosphere of the egg tea vanished, replaced by the sharp scent of incense and the tension hanging in the air.The two nuns trailed far behind, while along the corridor, the Guardians stood at attention with their spears, saluting as we passed. I took a deep breath, adjusting my expression. Slowly, the teasing, lazy Gia disappeared, replaced by the majestic, cold, and secretive Saint."Remember, Gia," Fred whispered very low, almost inaudible to anyone but me. "Hold your energy until the last hymn. Don't let them see you tremble."I didn't answer, only gave a small nod that was almost invisible. We entered the inner balcony area that fa

  • Chapter 1: Part 68

Night, Vatican city, 31 December 1888 AD As the year continues, I am currently drinking a famous Asian beverage. People there call it egg tea; they mix tea and eggs and stir them until smooth. Even when mixed with milk, it makes the taste stronger. (Drinking this before the big annual event relaxes me from all the tasks I have been working on.)The annual major event at the Vatican is the Vigil and Te Deum, a sacred ritual in which all the time that has passed is summarized in one grand prayer of thanksgiving.Behind the tall windows of my room, the silhouette of St. Peter's Basilica stood solidly under the dark night sky. The cold December air crept in through the marble cracks, but the warmth of the porcelain cup in my hands was far more powerful. As a Saint, the burden of prayers from thousands of people seemed to weigh heavily on my shoulders tonight. I knew that church officials and important guests had already begun to fill the pews below, awaiting my presence as their interme

"Why are you just silent, Oz?" Claire asked in a calm but emphatic voice. She didn't yell, but gave him a look that demanded honesty. Oz's prolonged silence began to feel unnatural to her, as if an invisible wall had suddenly separated them.Claire folded her arms on the table, maintaining her dignity even though the atmosphere in the inn was getting tense. She realized that every second that passed without an answer would only deepen the doubt between them. To her, Oz's current calmness seemed more like avoidance than just a thought process.(His attitude is very strange. What is he really thinking behind that mask? Did my question touch on something that should have remained hidden?) Claire thought to herself.Meanwhile, Leo, who had been explosive, now showed a drastic change in behavior. He no longer interrupted with curses or anger. Now he just sat stiffly with a blank stare, as if all his energy and emotions had been drained in an instant for no apparent reason.Claire glanced at

Holmes leaned forward until his shadow covered the dull wooden table. He ignored Leo's trembling fist and Claire's scrutinizing stare as she sat stiffly in front of him. The talented detective's focus was entirely on the mysterious figure in the black cloak."So, Oz," Holmes began provocatively. "Let's talk about last night at the Guild. You managed to pull that red fragment out of the receptionist's body, didn't you? Moriarty... a consciousness capable of splitting itself. Now you must be able to sense all of their presence in this city."Oz remained motionless, but behind his mask, he felt the constant pulse of the red energy he had just assimilated. Holmes was right; he was now connected to a vast network of consciousness, but everything felt like a thick fog that was both confusing and suffocating."I can feel their presence," Oz's voice was low and echoing. "But there's a big problem. Thousands of consciousnesses are scattered evenly at the same time. I don't know which one is rea
