CHAPTER 22- AT ALL COSTS
DETECTIVE LESIA'S POV

"OMG, this case is really something. I don't know if I should fight for it or just resign from being a detective," I complain, dropping the cup on the table. I have already consumed two cups of coffee just to keep myself awake.

"Who is Lynn's friend again?" Ace asks. I scratch my forehead and stop myself from slapping him.

"Does Lynn have any other friends besides me?" I raise an eyebrow curiously.

"The teacher, what's her name again?"

I shrug. I'm not interested in my friend's friend. It will only upset me.

"Why are you asking?"

"Call her," he orders. I roll my eyes.

"Lynn's friend?"

"I just have a few questions for Lynn before I start this case report."

I sigh and grab my cellphone. I search for Lynn's number and dial it.

"The number you have dialed is now unattended or out of the coverage area. Please try your call later."
