CHAPTER 21- KILL TO LIVE

I force myself to lift my body to the side. I feel pain in my hands, trapped between the floor and the chair's backrest.

What's stopping them from killing me? Why do they need to imprison me in this hellish place? This is not their usual killing style.

I wince in pain as my wounded arm hits the rough floor.

"So, this is exactly what torture feels like, huh?" I grit my teeth and throw a tantrum by kicking my feet on the floor. "Ouch," I mutter weakly, feeling the sharp sting as the pain radiates through me.

Something cold touches my foot. My heart suddenly races. Judging by its shape, I am sure it's a Swiss knife. Perhaps the man dropped it without noticing.

I twist my body toward the knife, contending with the friction of the rough floor against my wounded frame. The pain amplifies with each movement, making progress an arduous feat. My heart skips a beat as I finally make contact with my intended target.
