“Arrest him, he's got a weapon. Don't let him get away!” the security guard pushed Ethan's body into a policeman.

Ethan glanced at the security guard. A smile of satisfaction was painted on his face. Followers of the creatures of darkness did have a very annoying nature. As devil worshipers, they would be possessed by demons and have various abilities.

To the Demon Hunter, they were still human beings. They are not allowed to be killed. However, they also always act as allies of the demons. Making it difficult for the Demon Hunters. Their suddenly blackened corneas were strong evidence that they had demons inside them.

The policeman grabbed Ethan's shoulder. “Move! Get in the car. I'll confiscate all the weapons you're carrying.”

Ethan walked into the police car, while the security guard smilingly waved his hand. Briefly, Ethan knew the security guard's plan. He wanted Ethan to be taken to the holding cell, so that the other dark beings there could gang up on Ethan. In short, the security guard actually didn't have enough power to beat Ethan at the moment, so he used the police as a tool.

The policeman drove the car quickly. He grimaced slightly when he saw Ethan's face through the rearview mirror. “So you're the one named Ethan Hunter?”

Ethan immediately glanced over. “You already know?”

The cop chuckled. He shook his head slightly, feeling satisfied to be able to see the bridge of Ethan's nose in this car. “Isn't this a coincidence? I got a report about you yesterday. And I arrested you right here. Edward will give me a lot of money.”

Ethan began to understand. The Chulkin family had many connections to the police. This cop was one of them. What Ethan didn't expect was that he would immediately encounter problems from two worlds. From the world of darkness and the world of humans.

Ethan remained calm. He exhaled and then leaned his body against the chair. There wasn't the slightest worry on his face. Which made the policeman wonder.

The cop glanced back at Ethan's eyes through the rearview mirror. “Huh, you're a poor and jobless man. You've already messed with Edward Chulkin, breaking his big toe. For someone like you to bring a sharp object to a car showroom, you're bound to commit a crime there, right?”

Ethan tilted his head. Even if Ethan revealed the true incident, Ethan would still be brought to the police station because of the report from Edward Chulkin. So, Ethan just smiled.

The policeman became annoyed with Ethan's response. He deliberately pulled over, then turned to Ethan angrily. “Don't you know who I am, Ethan Hunter? I'm deputy Rio Hansen. I could throw your ass in jail and let you get your ass kicked by the inmates there. The Chulkin family's power in the police department would make you a corpse in a heartbeat!”

Ethan nodded slowly. “I'm looking forward to it. Why don't you try it?”

Rio opened her eyes wide. He actually felt challenged by Ethan's words.

The policeman immediately looked back to the front, then drove the car faster than before. “Now I know why Edward Chulkin wanted to put you in jail so badly. You criminal son of a bitch!”

Moments later, Ethan was dragged into the police station roughly by Rio. The policeman then took his wallet and pushed Ethan's body into the temporary prison.

The people arrested that day looked at Ethan sharply. However, in an instant they shrank as they felt Ethan's sudden aura of dominance.

A police colleague of Rio's came up to Rio. “Who is he?”

Rio grinned. “He's that guy. The fool who dared to seek trouble with Edward Chulkin. He was caught carrying a sharp weapon into a car showroom. Isn't this a good catch, Karl?”

Karl immediately raised his eyebrows. He also felt that this was a good thing. If they reported this arrest to their superiors, they were sure to get a lot of money. After all, who wouldn't want to contribute to the Chulkin family? Even many of the superiors were affiliated with the family.

Rio showed the items he confiscated from Ethan. A silver knife, 4 packs of silver bullets, and a wallet. “Just hand these over as evidence, then he will definitely be arrested. Coupled with the report from Edward Chulkin, this guy will have no hope of getting out. So stupid.”

However, Karl's expression suddenly changed when he saw the knife and bullet pack. His eyes could not blink. His hand immediately grabbed the silver knife. “Wait, why do you have this weapon in your hand?”

Rio frowned. “Hey... that's evidence of a crime! You can't take it carelessly.”

Karl then turned to Ethan. Ethan's face looked very calm. In fact, Ethan casually sat down and leaned his back against the iron bars. Then, Ethan let out a mysterious little grin.

Karl immediately shuddered. He hurriedly grabbed Ethan's wallet, then he took a black card in the wallet.

Karl immediately took all the objects from Rio, which made Rio confused. Karl also glared at Rio. “Fool! Why did you bring him here?”

Rio immediately frowned. He was confused by Karl's actions. “What have I done? You yourself agree he's a good catch!”

Karl glared at Rio. “Release that man, then return all his belongings! Don't let the Lieutenant find out about this.”

Karl took the cell key, trying to open the door. Rio, who had gotten a little more money from the Chulkin family, stopped him. “Hey, Karl! Why are you doing this? He's our guy!”

Rio grabbed the key. Then an increasingly pale Karl was distracted as the Lieutenant approached them. “Oh, no!”

Rio, who saw the Lieutenant approaching, was eager to announce his catch. With a big smile he approached the Lieutenant. “Lieutenant Finn, do you remember the report that Edward Chulkin filed to arrest someone named Ethan Hunter? Good news, Lieutenant. I've done it successfully. In fact, he could get more charges for bringing a weapon into a car showroom.”

Lieutenant Finn looked toward the cell. He saw for himself that Ethan looked very calm. However, his eyes remained fixed on Lieutenant Finn. “Him?”

Rio nodded. “Yeah, he's the one. Look at what this punk is carrying, a knife.”

Rio showed the silver knife. Instantly the Lieutenant opened his eyes wide. Karl quickly approached and whispered to Lieutenant Finn. “Lieutenant, he has a license...”

Lieutenant Finn picked up the silver knife. Then he slammed it straight into Rio's face. “Idiot, don't you know what you're doing?”

Rio was of course shocked by this incident. He didn't know what he had done wrong to get hit in the face. “Lieutenant, why did I get hit?”

Lieutenant Finn broke out in a cold sweat. “Release him and apologize to him!”

Rio furrowed her brow. “Lieutenant, he's a criminal! How can he be released?”

Lieutenant Finn kicked Rio instead. “I don't want to know! Release him right now!”

Rio had never seen Lieutenant Finn that angry. He immediately did what Lt. Finn told him to do. He opened the cell door and let Ethan out.

With quiet steps, Ethan walked and stopped in front of Rio. Ethan's gaze was slightly higher than Rio's. “I haven't heard your apology, Rio.”

Rio clicked his tongue. “Why should I?”

The lieutenant hit Rio again, now on the back of his head. “Do it, you punk!”

Rio glanced at Lieutenant Finn with an angry look. At this point he didn't know where he went wrong. With a heavy breath, he began to speak. “I'm sorry.”

Ethan smiled slightly. He then walked past the Lieutenant's side. Before he left, he patted the Lieutenant's shoulder. “Good job, Lieutenant.”

Then Ethan left the place quietly.

After Ethan left, Karl and Lieutenant Finn could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Rio looked puzzled.

“Lieutenant, why would you let someone like that get away?”

Hearing the question, Lieutenant Finn immediately gave him a sharp look. “Fool! It's still a good thing he just walked away. You almost cost us all our lives!”

The Wendigo's right hand that should have vanished... reappeared. The flesh crawled, sticking to itself like an upside-down wound. The white bone protruded first, followed by the rapidly spreading muscle fibers. The black blood that should have flowed out was now reabsorbed, as if there had never been a wound there.Ethan gritted his teeth, his breath hitching. His fingers tightened on the revolver's handle, almost pulling the trigger involuntarily. A disgusting sound rang out as the Wendigo's skin fused back together. And within seconds... his hand was back in one piece.“No way...”Ethan's voice was almost a whisper. His eyes were still glued to the creature, his brain trying to digest something that shouldn't have happened. The wendigo could regenerate.Without thinking, Ethan pulled the trigger. Two

“A Demon Hunter like you? How could...,” Ben's words trailed off. He knew how strong Ethan was. He had seen it himself-how this man stood unwavering despite being shotgunned, how he kept moving forward despite being thrown molotovs. But his eyes were now fixed on something different. The blood seeping from Ethan's stomach. Ben's breath caught. Slowly, he raised his gaze, looking directly into Ethan's face. There was something in the man's eyes-something Ben had never seen before. Doubt. “You... who can't be pierced by bullets, who doesn't even falter in fire... could be hurt by that thing?”Ethan was silent. His jaw hardened slightly. He hated this fact, but he knew there was no point in denying it. Slowly, he nodded.Ben swallowed. If Ethan could get hurt, then... what could anyone else do?Ethan took a deep breath. His voice was low, but there was something in it-weight, certainty, and an inviolable truth. “You need to get out.”Ben remained silent. Inside his chest, a battle betwee

Its thin, towering body bent over slightly, its long claws gripping the wet ground. He could not see clearly, but he did not need to. Its black nostrils flared, inhaling the air deeply, searching for traces of scent in the surroundings. The smell of gunpowder... sharp, burning his sense of smell. It mixed with the sweat and blood of the human in front of him-not prey, but a threat. It's head turned quickly towards Ethan, as if he had just realized something.
