Oh My God!

('O')

Gray had a new level of fear and respect for Spade who had given him so many points with a single throw.

The others might not know, but before throwing him into the garbage bin, Gray definitely felt his bones snap, his legs twist and his body crippled.

He was sure Spade wanted him to never use his arms or limbs again.

It might seem like he was protecting Gray, but that bastard was also recharging a lesson for standing against Adler Gannon.

Thanks to the evil villain, he was not only able to gain enough points to become an awakener but was also able to increase his strength, agility, physique, and even his Punching Bag armor body.

Listening to their conversation, he understood that Spade didn't care if he was crippled.

Provided he didn't die, it was all good since it didn't cause any major backlashes for the Gannon household.

Just because they won't do it openly, doesn't mean he was safe in private.

"I better continue pretending as though I'm limping or he might get suspicious." Gray thought, thinking of Spade's reputation.

Before today, he didn't even know there was such a powerful person in the stronghold.

How would he know when he spent most of his time trying to level up and become an awakened being?

If he wasn't doing that, you can also find him occupied with being beaten up.

Yesterday's matters allowed Gray to understand just how fragile he was in this stronghold controlled by the mighty.

It wasn't just enough to become strong. What he needed was to become super strong in a way that allowed many forces to step out and protect him.

At least not until the exam day, he must continue a time weak and biding his time.

The way Clandel and the others sounded made Spade look like a God. Truthfully, he too was starting to see the man as such too.

No one knows how he felt in that moment of despair.

For someone to make a move on him at lightning speed without any of them noticing a thing was enough to sound all alarm bells.

Reaching his apartment, Gray no longer pretended, rushing as fast as he could to get ready.

.

"You bastard! What's with all the ruckus upstairs? Some of us are trying to sleep!"

The neighbors downstairs almost tore Gray's ceiling apart.

The floors and walls were light, so thin that he could sometimes hear them performing adult aerobics in their bedrooms.

The couple both worked mostly afternoon to evening shifts.

Everytime he leaves for school he tries moving as carefully as he can.

However, today, sorry. He was in a rush.

Sure enough, the money he opened his door to leave, he monetarily ducked, knowing the woman below was a firecracker despite her calm nature husband.

Swish!

A frying pan swung in the air, as he ducked and locked his door in under a few breaths.

As they say, practice makes perfect.

"Morning, Miss Petunia."

"Good morning my ass, gray! You just stand still so I can smack you to death."

Seeing the fuming woman swinging her women fiercely, Gary suddenly had a thought.

"System. If she hits me, will I get any points for that?"

[Yes host. But very negligible, since you're already an Awakener.]

"Then forget it," Gray concluded, shaking his head wryly at the opportunity he missed yesterday knowing he had such wonderful tenants in his building.

Of course, he still allowed some of her attacks to hit him. This was for the watchful eyes of others.

On his way to school, Gray corrected himself severally, not wanting to show any inkling of strength to outsiders.

He had to admit that it was really hard to control his body just yet.

A warmth kept rushing into his body, making his muscles swollen and defined.

Shaking his fists, he could feel the monstrous power of an awakener swimming inside him.

Provided he doesn't release his aura and special skills, it would be hard to differentiate him or any other awakener from ordinary people.

Oh, happy day! No one could take the smile off his lips.

Lalalalalalala~

Gray whistled and hummed, wishing he could hop and skip to school just like a little schoolgirl if not for his need to keep pretending.

But soon, his smile froze, as though cracked.

"Crap! It's Teacher Jin Kang."

Gray wished there was a hole for him to bury himself in.

Who was Teacher Jin kang? A burly hard-core man with his overly muscular arms always exposed in his no-sleeve tank top.

From afar, one could see millions of veins protruding from his neck, arms, and the rest of his body.

Teacher Kang often wore military pants and heavy high boots that had additional weights built into them.

It's said that each side of his boot weighs 80 Stones! That's 500 KG on each foot.

The beardless Teacher Kang often carried a comb in his pocket to comb his unique hairdo.

His jet-black hair was all combed up, with the top layer shaved as a smooth lawn.

Of course, no matter what society one lives in, not everyone could be entirely bad.

Teacher Kang was one of the few good ones, who secretly tried his best to root for ordinary folks behind the backs of the wealthy.

They also understood that this was the best he could do, as he too was bound to serve and obey any unanimous decisions made by the school if he and his family didn't want to be in a tight position.

Despite all this, teacher Kang still made Gray feel like crying by his sheer manliness, hot temper and ridiculous punishments.

Do you think everyone can be a macho man like you?

Augh~

Because he was very kind to them in secret, he was also very harsh on them should they disobey official school rules.

Venturing into the academy, everyone was not disappointed. There were towering castle-like stony buildings scattered around with magnificent giant statutes. Wow! Was that water flowing out from the mouths of several stone dragon heads? Gray had never seen anything like this before! The buildings were all so gigantic, and the space stretched out for as far as the eyes could see, enclosing many hills, paths and terrains. Some buildings stood on hills, others stood on cliff sides, and some stood on ground floor with massive ancient fountains shooting out at the center of their many courtyards. Many people's hearts hammered in their chests, feeling country bumpkins seeing city life for the first time. Everyone who has gotten accepted into the academy, was obviously an awakened human. So kicking their feet, they steadily ran forward to cover more ground. Walking normally will take them forever to get to their quarters. So how dare they dilly dally when nightfall had already come?

  • Making A Big Splash?

After fighting, boxing, stabbing and punching, Gray finally saw the academy’s silhouette from a distance. “Really there?” Real or fake? The siblings, Fariel and Faron, who were behind Gray, were painting heavily, wondering how this guy could fight and keep running at the speed he did without even breaking a sweat. You have to know that they were panting so hard after running 5 hours at max speed while carrying their luggage. Fortunately, this guy didn't mind fighting off the many underground creatures and clearing the path for them. Who was he truly? Could this guy be a senior and not a first year like them? Giving each other tactful stares, suddenly, they didn't feel like geniuses anymore after being with Gray for this short time. Just this accident that happened earlier, allowed them to know how big the world truly was. Forget revenge. They must first grow strong enough to survive before thinking of ever making a move at their cousin who clearly had all the resources an

  • Gray To The Rescue

In another corner, a broken down vehicle was getting ambushed by flesh eating plants from all corners. The vines yanked the massive metal tires away, before reaching force to tears the rest of the vehicle apart. Bam! The 2 siblings in the vehicle broke through the vehicle’s roof, getting on it while fighting the many vines that came their way. “Brother!” The dainty girl with brown hair in a ponytail and short bangs, quickly called to her brother when feeling a sharp pain on her left leg. Oh no! One of the spiky vines was now wrapped several times around her leg, pulling her away without mercy. “Sister!!!” ~Slash! Slash! Slash! The brown curly haired boy sliced and diced with his long twin blades with a pale face when seeing his sister getting dragged into the ground below. Their journey towards revenge had just

  • The Perilous Journey to Phoenix Tide Academy

Vrmmmmm! The vehicle roared to life, its engine bellowing like a beast unleashed. Gray's cheeks flapped wildly, his gums fully exposed as Yegan's car surged forward with incredible speed. "Fuck!" Gray cursed inwardly, his fingers digging into the seat. In this post-apocalyptic era, seatbelts were a forgotten luxury, a relic of a safer past. Just having a car, especially one pieced together from rusted scrap, was a miracle in itself. If Gray had been born before the apocalypse, he would have marveled at these current steampunk-inspired vehicles that ran on water and sometimes coal. The engin

  • The Aftermath

The Dean looked at Yegan's gangster attitude and wasn't offended. Reaching for the bottom of his desk, he calmly took out 2 vials and threw them Gray's way. Gray held on to them in confusion but soon understood their uses thanks to the dean and the system. The first was a Grade Z-3 Energy gathering elixir. It was blue and would make many newly awakened humans breakthrough in strength. Having a Z-3 grade potion was very unbelievable. Do you know what Z-3 is? In Z-sphere, pills, potions and elixirs are graded from Z-1 to Z-6. Weapons and skills are also graded as such. For people like them at the bottom of the awakened food chain, a Z-3 potion was like a godly item dropped from the heavens. The next vial contained 4 red booster pills that will give anyone additional strength for at most an hour after taking it. It's just that your eyes will give away the fact that you took it. Still, when fighting for your life out in the forest or dangerous places, who cares if your ey
