This night was quite tiring. Even the giant ball hanging above the sky was covered with clouds. Snow had started to fall heavily. A man walked quickly after he got off a bus, clutching his brown coat tightly. He was breaking through the blizzard that was quite strong, but he was still trying to break through the cold blizzard.

Several times people looked at him with disdain looks, then some threw dog feces at him. No, they weren’t strangers. But they were some of his wife’s relatives who happened to have a house in the district where he lived.

They deliberately waited for the man to come home so they could do such lowly things.

“You poor man! Why are you coming back home? You should be ashamed to have become a parasite to your wife’s family! Go and never come back! Go far away and sever your ties with my cousin!”

“You unemployed, the scum of society who has never had any shame at all! Just look in a moment! You will not only lost your wife, but also your pride!”

The figure of the man stopped his steps, his shivering legs tried their best to support his body. His brown eyes glanced at the several men and women who were laughing at him. Even the smell of dog feces was so strong to his sense of smell.

The man didn’t flinch, he still walked towards the white house with a matching fence. He opened the door of the house and put his coat outside.

His coat was dirty, he didn’t want his mother-in-law to get angry because he had polluted the holy house.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

“Hey, Nicholas is home!”

The scream rang clearly in the ears of the man who had just taken off his shoes, the tip of his nose and his cheeks flushed. He tried to go to his warm room to meet his wife. However, his steps were stopped.

Three people from the Gerard family immediately intercepted him at the door, so that the tall man could not enter.

“You … why did you come home, Nick?” asked his mother-in-law.

“There was a blizzard warning, so I came home early.”

“So, have you found a job yet?”

Nicholas fell silent. Job? This was the scourge that had become the source of his problems of recent years. Because Nicholas not having a job was a disaster for him.

“Not yet.” Nicholas answered calmly.

“Then why did you come home? Should you come home after getting a job? Don’t embarrass us and add to our burden, Nick! You’re just a son-in-law, you don’t work, and you trouble us!”

“Unemployment must not last long in this place!”

Nicholas was still silent, usually for a problem like this his wife would come to defend him. By the way, where was his wife?

“Where’s Ariana?” Nicholas asked.

His father-in-law looked worried, he still blocked Nicholas from entering his room.

“Why do you ask? Aren’t you ashamed of our daughter because you can only be a parasite to our daughter?”

“Where’s Ariana?” Nicholas asked again.

His ears caught a sound that was quite strange, a sound that was quite ridiculous. Nicholas wanted to barge in, but the three people who were there pushed him so that Nicholas almost fell down the stairs.

With an annoyed look on his face, Nicholas forced his way in with the use of his strength. He opened the door and his eyes locked on the most horrific sight he had ever seen.

Yes, Ariana, his wife, was having sex with her own best friend in there.

“Ariana, Edward?” Nicholas said.

Instead of feeling guilty, the two of them continued their disgusting activities. Nicholas’ body was forcibly pulled by his father-in-law to get out, then the door was closed again.

“You guys know about this?” Nicholas asked with a deep feeling of disappointment.

“So what? Do you think you have the right to be angry? No, you don’t!” Stefanus, Nicholas’s father-in-law, turned the question around.

Nicholas was silent, his hands tightly clenched now.

“You are unemployed, you have no money. For the past three years we have been kind enough to let you live here for free. What’s more, we’re sick of your existence. Unlike Erdward, your best friend is a director in a very famous company, he is a man who has a lot of money. If Ariana marries Erdward, surely she will have enough, Ariana will not suffer like when she was with you, jobless!”

Nicholas held his breath, then he nodded his head as well. Not long after, Ariana came out with Erdward while hugging him very tenderly.

“I’m sorry, Nick.  I think I can’t maintain our household anymore. You are poor, jobless, and can’t satisfy me properly. Unlike Erdward, he is a man who can make me the queen of his life. Look, he has given me a diamond ring, he is also going to buy me the latest luxury car, he also promised to buy me a house after this. Unlike you, what can you buy me after five years of our marriage? Nothing.”

Nicholas nodded again, his face was flat and cold. For a matter like this he couldn’t blame Ariana. But the problem was … Ariana already knew that Nicholas’s financial was like this. Ariana’s promises in the past had disappeared, swallowed up by the luxury presented by Erdward.

Nicholas’ eyes looked at Erdward and Ariana alternately, the two people he trusted the most had actually committed treason, something that Nicholas had never expected.

“Okay, if that is your choice, I will respect it. Isn’t it true that a traitor is perfect for a cheater? You are a well-matched couple, I hope you can be happy forever.”

“Thanks for the prayers, Nick.”

Nicholas glanced back at a bag that was thrown even at the bottom of the stairs very impolitely.

“You know the exit right? Please leave this place, I will take care of your divorce matters. You just need to come to court until your divorce process with Ariana is complete.”

Nicholas didn’t say anything, he went downstairs and took the bag he was sure that all of his stuff was already there. He picked up the bag and looked at Stefanus who was spitting at him.

“You poor man!”

“You loser of the world!”

“Scum!”

Nicholas walked out, ignoring all the remarks. He then took his coat that was wet and dirty with dog feces.

He walked out, trying to fight the incoming snowstorm. Laughter sounded so crisp from Ariana’s cousins who saw it from the window.

“Such a loser! You trash!”

“Finally there is no poor Nicholas in our family. Haha!”

Nicholas was still trying to calm down as he walked through the districts in Marin Country. He reached into his trouser pocket and saw some of his remaining cash coins.

Where should he sleep? What should he eat? Nicholas really had no clue now.

Nicholas looked up, looking at the snow that was falling so much. Until the sound of screeching tires made him turn his head. A long sedan stopped in front of him and was accompanied by several other luxury sedans. An old man dressed like a palace maid came out. Nicholas was still silent, until the man bent down right in front of him.

“Young Master Steave, I finally found you.”

“Who are you?” asked Nicholas with a confused look.

“I am the right-hand man of the twentieth Lord Steave. I was given the task of looking for the last descendant of the Eternia business empire, and I finally found you.”

“What do you mean?”

“You are the twentieth descendant of the Eternita Hills great family, one might say the last descendant. When Mr. Collin ruled, there was a big rebellion which resulted in his only grandson being entrusted to one of his trusted servants, but unfortunately the servant disappeared without a trace. For thirty-five years we have been trying to find out where that servant is. Some time ago we finally met her and she told me about your whereabouts. The throne in the Eternita Hills empire has been vacant for a long time, Mr Steave, so I hope you can continue the Eternita Hills empire after this.”

“I am a Young Master?”

“Yes, Mr Steave. Please get in the car, we will take you home.”
