The loud voice of the Dean was enough to break the little gathering apart.

" What the hell is going on here?" He raised his voice looking at Kael Voss even though he was the victim and was on his knees.

" Kael has gone mad with rage. He came at me!" Jonas said rushing towards the Dean to show his wounds.

Kael looked around waiting for the students to support him but none of them did. Even Thomas who he had sent money to his father didn't say a word.

Maybe he was scared or maybe he didn't want to suffer at the hand of Jason like he was doing now.

" I didn't do it!" Kael said with anger as he clenched his fist tightly, his nails digging into his palms.

Jason walked towards Dean Harper and shoved his face in his face. " He hit me right here!"

" We saw him." A voice said from behind the students.

Kael's face went pale when one of the students accused him wrongly again.

" Kael has lost it. Probably thought everyone here is so low-life like he is." Another said.

Kael was surprised and for a moment, he didn't understand why they all were supporting a brute who was wicked to most of the.m but Kael understand.

Fear was a terrible thing and it makes you make mistakes.

" Well, we are going to have to visit that later on but right now I want to know why you did what you did." Death Harper said looking at Kael.

" I did nothing." Kael said looking confused.

" You did more than nothing." A voice said from behind again.

" Dad!" Thomas said rushing towards his father. " I am sorry. I should not have said what I said. I am sorry dad, can you forgive me?"

All the students stood still looking at the drama that was going on. The school has always been on hierachy.

" You did not do anything wrong, son." Thomas's father said Immediately. " What I need to know now is who transferred that huge amount of money into my account?"

" What?"

" He wasn't bluffing?"

" Did he really transferred a hundred million?"

" It is a million, stupid."

" Who is he?"

Dean Harper looked at Kael and stuttered for a bit. " There must have been a mix up, Mr...." he stammered.

" Call me Felix. Is he the one?" he said again staring at Thomas who couldn't stop staring at Kael.

To some, he was a hero. To some he was trying to break the circle which has been running the system for a bit.

Thomas pointed at Kael who looked at Felix.

" Are you sure he is the one?" Felix asked.

Thomas nodded and watched as his father moved towards Kael.

He gently fell on his knees and grabbed Kael's leg right in front of the whole students. " I don't know who you are or why you have done this but I whole you everything. I and my family are forever in your debt. I am honoured." Felix said removing the glasses he wore.

" Fake alert!" Jason said furiously. " Are you siding with him now simply because I demoted your ass? I can have you reinstated if you fall down on your knees and beg me."

The whole students went dead silent and even the Dean was shocked to hear what Jason said.

" He is going to make him kneel."

" Well he should. Jason is not only rich but powerful enough to make anybody bow and rha includes the too. Remind me what class Thomas is again?"

" The second class."

Gloria smirked.

" Gosh. I thought he was an elite but that doesn't mean he is relevant. I can't believe he is sliding with Kael to fight Jason."

Some of the students took out their phones like their lives depends on it and they all couldn't stop bickering about what Thomas's father was going to do next.

Kael himself was surprised and wondered if the man was brave enough to bow in front of Jason.

Felix stood up putting on his glasses. " Do you think everything evolves around you? Because your father is rich and you are some bratty kid who feels entitled to his wealth and power. Does that give you the right to misbehave and treat students and men old enough to be your father anyhow?"

Dean Harper wanted to walk towards Felix and hold him but he shrugged him off. " Go on. Say what you are so dying to say."

Jason looked at him and laughed. "So you came all the way here to bow and scrapped for how much?" he said teasingly looking at Kael.

" Do you know if he had stolen the money? Do you even wanna know how a kid like him was able to come up with a million naira?" Jason asked.

Mr Felix looked at Kael and looked at how shabby he looked. If a tattered looking kid could afford a million dollars then why is he dressed like this?

" Yes." Jason said jokingly.

" Look at him. He is poor, looking tattered. There is no way he could have afford that. Probably stole the money and when he is fine wanting. Your name is going to pop up."

Everyone was silent and immediately began to take Jason's side again forgetting the heroic act of Kael.

" All you need to do is how and your job is back." Jason said again.

Mr Felix clenched his hands together as his eyes darted back and forth. He was in the middle of the students who were all having a smile on their faces. It was entertaining and not only that, it was the first time Jason was going to be himiating a parent right in front of them.

" Do you need certainty? I don't go back on my word. All you need to do is bow and kiss my feet " Jason said thrusting his feet at Mr Felix's face.

" Don't do it dad. We can just return the money and leave." Thomas said with. croaky voice alos breaking down in tears.

" Why don't I make this more interesting. Bow at my feet as you don't only get your old job back but you get an increase in your pay." Jaosn sad again with a wicked grin on his face

Kael's name was on the lips of all the students, including some of the educators who had seen the whole show go down. Some said he was a freak, while the rest wanted to know how he did it. "He must be on drugs." "Are you sure? Because the last time I checked, no drug could ever do that shit!" "Then what? Are you saying he is on some kind of drug?" "No! You idiots. What if he's into magic?" One of the students burst into laughter. "You mean like Aladdin and the genie?" he said, adjusting his spectacles. "You, my friend, have been watching too much Disneyland. Don't you think you are too old for that?" "Listen, you are not thinking the way I am thinking. Kael was nobody. I searched for his name on Google, and trust me, nothing came out. No connection and definitely not family ties. Who the hell is he? But then seeing what I saw today, I can only come to one conclusion. He is using." "Magic." The petite guy said it again, and they all burst into laughter. "You better get your ac

For a moment, it seemed like he might black out right there on the pitch. The coach rushed toward him, blowing his whistle so loud it pierced the forming crowd.“Stop! Everybody stop!”Students swarmed the sidelines, some with phones already recording, others too stunned to move. The whispers turned into roars of speculation, and Kael could hear every word even as he tried to steady his breathing.“Jordan finished him!”“He’s done for. I doubt he would ever be able to play football ever again, maybe forever.”“Serves him right for thinking he could compete.”" Who does he think he is?" Through the blur, Jordan stood back as he basked in joy. He stood a few feet away, chest heaving, but there was no guilt on his face. No fear and no remorse for what he had done. It was replaced with something everyone saw. Pride. . Like he had accomplished exactly what he came here to do.“Take him off the field,

Maya stared at him, her lips parting as if she wanted to speak but words refused to come. For the first time, she wasn’t sure if she was the one in control of the game anymore. Kael had just flipped the board without even lifting a finger.“Everything can be bought?” she finally repeated, her voice a dangerous whisper. “You make it sound like people have no value beyond money.”Kael looked back and forth as if he was trying to measure everything and everyone in the cafeteria. He rested back into his sit and looked at her face. " Tell me one thing." he said slowly tapping his fingers on the polished table. " Look around you and tell me what you see." Maya's lips pouted, she definetly wasn't expecting Kael to be a strong opponent. " What do you mean?" She asked crossing her arms and slightly resting back on her chair. " When you look around you, the system, the educators even the students. What do you see?" Maya shrugged, " A school. A learning centre." " No. You are wrong. You a

Taking a bold step was actually all it took for Kael. Maya was not only the most sought-after girl on campus, but she also had this magnetic pull that could attract any guy that she wanted. And Kael was not going to be attracted to her. He was going to make her want him. Beg him for every touch and every kiss. As Kael sat down by Maya, the cafeteria went silent. It feels like they all were waiting for them to talk. To say a single word, anything actually. But instead, Kael said nothing except for his cutlery banging the plate each time he tried to pick up his steak meat. [ AFTER A WHILE ]Maya looked at him. "You do know they are waiting for us to say something." Kael dropped the fork and stared at Maya; he grabbed the white napkin and cleaned his mouth. A gentle smile was plastered on his face as he grabbed a cup of water. Maya laughed. She had never given anyone as much attention as she had given to Kael. She waited for him, making sure he dropped the glass cup he was holding

The cafeteria was silent. Every student gaze bored into the two in anticipation for what was going to happen next. Kael stopped right in front of Jason, his tray still in his hands. The air grew stiff, and the cafeteria went silent like everyone was waiting for a bomb to go off. Phones were still out, cameras flashing, recording every movement. Jason stood tall, his grin widening as if he had just trapped a rat.Kael tilted his head slightly, his lips twitching into a half-smile. “Really? Since when do chairs come with ownership tags, Jason?”Jason’s laughter echoed across the cafeteria. “Since I said so. That seat is mine, and everyone knows it.” He stepped closer, lowering his voice but making sure everyone could hear. “You’re not sitting next to Maya. Not today, not ever. Got it?”Gasps rippled through the students. Some whispered Jason’s words under their breath, as if repeating them gave the threat more weight." Do you think Kael is going to listen to him?" " He is scared o
