“You need to come with me. This isn’t where you belong.” The old man said to Nolan, pulling him out of his thoughts. Your place is with your family, not here. It’s time to leave this behind.”

“What? No… I can’t just leave. What about Aunt?” Nolan hurriedly said, his mind racing.. Then, suddenly, he realized something. “Wait… where is Aunt?”

He quickly scanned the room and found her sitting in a corner, sadness clearly written on her face.

“Aunt, what’s wrong?” he asked, rushing to her side. He had been so caught up with everything that he hadn’t even noticed she was in the room.

His aunt sniffed, trying to stop her tears . “I’m so sorry, Nolan.”

Nolan was confused. “What are you sorry for? What’s going on? Why are you crying? Talk to me.”

Elizabeth cleared her throat, drawing Nolan’s attention. “I didn’t get to tell you this part of the story earlier. The reason you weren’t found at the accident scene was because your… aunt and her husband took you from there and raised you as their own.”

Nolan’s body stiffened. “What?”

His aunt’s body shook as she spoke. “I know I shouldn’t have done it, Nolan but I was desperate to have a child of my own. I told you I was your aunt because I felt too guilty to call myself your mother.”

Nolan just stared at her, struggling to process what she was saying. His whole life, he had believed she was his real aunt, his mother’s sister who had taken him in out of love. But now… he realized she wasn’t even related to him.

His aunt’s voice cracked. “If I hadn’t taken you, maybe your grandfather would have found you sooner. Maybe you wouldn’t have had to suffer like this. I’m so sorry, Nolan. I really am.”

“I’m grateful to you for taking care of my grandson and for everything you’ve done for him since he was a child. I’ll repay you three times over for all the expenses you’ve had to cover. But he can’t stay with you anymore,” the old man said firmly.

Nolan’s eyes widened. “No… no. I can’t leave. I just can’t leave my aunt. She raised me all these years, and now I’m just supposed to walk away and forget about her? Impossible! I won’t do that. I want to stay here!” he said, holding onto his aunt as she silently cried.

He knew that leaving with the old man would break his aunt’s heart. She would be devastated, and he couldn’t let that happen.

Elizabeth opened her mouth to speak, but Nolan cut her off. “Don’t bother trying to change my mind. My decision is final! I’m not leaving!” he said firmly.

The old man paused for a moment, then sighed and looked at Nolan. “I understand that it’s hard to leave the life you’ve always known. So, I’ll respect your decision to stay for now. But when the time comes, you won’t have a choice but to return to your rightful place.”

Nolan let out a breath of relief, grateful that his grandfather wasn’t forcing him to leave immediately. “Grandfather…” he muttered under his breath, testing out the word.

His grandfather made a small gesture with his hand, and Elizabeth immediately understood. She pulled two black cards from her purse and handed them to him.

“This black card contains $1,000,000. I want you to take it and use it for yourself for now,” his grandfather said.

Nolan took the card with shaky hands, his mind struggling to process what he had just heard. $1,000,000? His grandfather had just given him that much money—just like that? Was this a dream?

He stood there, lost in thought, as his grandfather said his goodbyes and left.

Nolan watched as the cars disappeared into the distance. He glanced down at the card in his hand, still in disbelief.

He wasn’t dreaming. He had really become a rich man.

The first thought that came to Nolan’s mind was to tell Savanna the good news. He couldn’t wait to see her reaction when she found out that he was actually the heir to a wealthy and powerful family!

But then, a better idea popped into his head. A wide grin spread across his face. He couldn’t wait for morning to come so he could carry it out.

After a sleepless night of tossing and turning and checking the black card over and over again, morning finally arrived.

Without wasting time, he left the house and headed straight to the bank. His plan was simple: withdraw a large sum of money and return to Savanna’s mother, telling her to tick off every single item on her list. Whatever amount she wanted, he was ready to pay, and more.

However, when he arrived at the bank, he suddenly felt lost. This was his first time inside one. He had never needed to visit a bank before, he barely had enough money to save, let alone withdraw.

After looking around for a few minutes, he finally decided to ask for help. He approached the customer service desk, where a woman was seated.

“Excuse me, do I need to make an appointment or go somewhere if I want to withdraw a large amount of money?” Nolan asked, scratching his head. “I’m a little confused.”

The woman glanced at him, giving him a dirty look before rolling her eyes. “You don’t need an appointment to withdraw a few dollars,” she replied with clear annoyance. “If it’s under $1,000, just use the ATM outside.”

Her tone was dismissive, and it was obvious she had judged him based on his appearance. To her, he was just another broke, shabby-looking guy wasting her time.

Nolan frowned. “I haven’t even told you how much I want to withdraw. And also, what’s with the attitude? Your customer service is terrible, and you really should do better.”

The woman scoffed, standing up. “Excuse me? What attitude did I give? Didn’t I answer your question, or are you deaf? Why are you disturbing me over $50 that you want to withdraw? Please move aside and let me attend to real customers. It’s always the empty barrels that make the most noise.”

Nolan clenched his fists as the man behind him shoved him aside.

If this had happened before, he would have simply walked away, swallowing his pride like he always did. But things were different now. He was the heir to one of the most powerful company in the country, and he wasn’t about to let anyone look down on him again.

Taking a deep breath, he lifted his chin and said loudly, “I didn’t expect this kind of treatment from this bank. Since that’s the case, I’m closing my account today. I’ll withdraw every single dollar and never step foot here again. And trust me, this bank is going to regret it.”

The woman stared at him for a moment, then burst into laughter. Tears brimmed in her eyes as she clutched her stomach.

“Are you a comedian? Do you tell jokes for a living? Or are you just mentally unstable? Who do you think you are, making all this noise over pocket change? I’m sure your account balance isn’t even up to $100 and that’s even a stretch.”

“Now, before you waste any more of my time, get your filthy self out of my sight before I call security to throw you out.”

She scoffed. “What an idiot.”

I’ll go talk to the butler and sort everything out.”He turned around and started walking slowly toward the reservation desk, each step heavier than the last. A man dressed in a neat black butler uniform stepped out from a hallway. He had white gloves on and a small notebook in his hand. With a polite smile, he walked toward the group and gave a small bow before speaking.“Good afternoon, everyone,” he said with a warm, professional tone. “Are you here for the grand opening event of the hotel, or are you just here to dine at the restaurant?”The group all turned to him. Jett stepped forward confidently and gave the man a quick look from head to toe, like he was sizing him up.“Just talk to me,” Jett said, waving a hand as if he didn’t want the man to look at the others. “I’m the one in charge here. What exactly is happening today?”The butler gave a polite nod. “Of course, sir,” he replied, keeping his voice calm and respectful. “Today is the official launch of the hotel and as part of the celebration, we also have our restaurant open for special guests.”He flipped open his small notebook and checked something quickly before looking up aga

“Excuse me, what’s your business here?” The bouncer asked firmly.Sonya blinked like she hadn’t heard him right. “What did you just say?”The bouncer stood straight and repeated himself. “What’s your business here? This entrance is for guests only.”Sonya’s face turned red. “Do you know who I am?” she snapped, planting her hand on her hip. “My uncle works here, and he’s not just anybody! If he hears that you stopped me, you’re going to lose your job today, you fat, bald idiot!”Sariah nodded quickly, backing her up. “Yeah, you clearly don’t know who you’re talking to.”But the bouncer didn’t move. He didn’t even pay attention to what she was saying. He kept his hand up and didn’t let them pass.Jett, Savannah, and Dora stopped behind the twins, looking confused. “Where exactly are you even going that you’re calling it a place where I can’t be on the same level as you or that I wouldn’t be able to afford to go?” Nolan asked, folding his arms tightly. His voice was still calm, but his eyes showed that he was burning with anger inside. Normally, he would’ve walked away. Normally, he would’ve just let it slide but today was different.Jett moved closer to Nolan, standing right in front of him like he was trying to make him feel small. He folded his arms, raised his chin, and looked at Nolan like he was nothing.“This isn’t just some regular hotel, alright?” Jett said slowly, like Nolan was too dumb to understand. “This is a five-star place. A real luxury hotel. People who stay there have money, real money. People who wear designer clothes every day, not just on special occasions.”Nolan didn’t back down or step back. He stood his ground and kept his arms crossed, his jaw clenched tight. But inside, he was trying to hold himself back from hitting

“So… you all expect me to cry over a woman?” Nolan asked, raising a brow. “Is that what this is about? That I’m supposed to be sad and broken just because Savannah isn’t mine anymore?”He shook his head and let out a small laugh even though deep down, he was pained and still sad. “That doesn’t even make sense,” he said. “Do you know how many women I could have right now if I wanted to? I’m not heartbroken. Trust me. I just don’t chase people who don’t want me.” For a second, there was silence. Then Dora stepped forward with a scowl on her face.“You’re such a scum, Nolan,” she snapped, arms folded tightly across her chest. “How could you say that? It hasn’t even been two days since you and Savannah broke up! And now you’re talking about having women around you like she’s just some random person?”Nolan didn’t say anything, but Gabriel, who was standing beside him, let out a loud scoff.“Oh please,” Gabriel said, clearly annoyed. “Are you kidding me right now? Can’t you see that Sava

Nolan stepped out of the store first, his hands in his pockets, happy with how everything played out. Gabriel followed right behind him. “That,” Gabriel said, clapping Nolan on the back with a grin, “was legendary. I mean, wow. I didn’t expect you to do that. You really had me thinking Fiona was going to walk out with that bag.”He shook his head, still impressed. “But seriously, where the hell did you get that kind of money from? What are you not telling us? I’m so confused and curious at the same time”Nolan chuckled under his breath, the corners of his lips twitching. “It’s a long story,” he said, glancing at him. “But don’t worry. I’ll tell you about it soon.”Gabriel opened his mouth to say more, but then, Cole walked out of the store with a heavy sigh. He ran his hand through his hair and shook his head, looking like he hadn’t recovered from what just happened.“I just hope Fiona doesn’t hold a grudge over all this,” He muttered quietly, avoiding Nolan’s eyes.Gabriel turned to
