It was Monday morning, and Nolan got dressed for school. He was in his final year and had been looking forward to this session for one reason, it was supposed to be the year he married Savannah. But that dream is gone now.
Since it was the first day of classes, He knew most students wouldn’t bother showing up for lectures. So instead, he decided to visit his friends at the dormitory. He didn’t live in the dorm because It was too expensive. He barely managed to pay his school f*es, so he couldn’t afford the dormitory f*e either. That’s why he came from home every day, even though it was stressful. Sometimes, when it got too hard, he slept over in his friends’ room. As he stepped into the room, the room fell silent and his friends turned to stare at him. Nolan noticed the tension and raised a brow. “What’s going on?” he asked, walking in. “You guys were clearly talking before I came in. Don’t try to lie and say it’s nothing or a secret, because that’ll only make me more curious.” He sat on the edge of the bed, waiting. “We heard about…” Cole, the youngest of the group, started to say, but Gabriel, the oldest among them, quickly smacked the back of his head. “Ow! Why did you hit me?” Cole frowned, rubbing the spot. “You need to learn when to talk and when to shut up!” Gabriel snapped. “I tell you that all the time.” “What’s wrong with talking about it now when we are still going to bring it up anyway?” Cole muttered, still pouting. “Just shut up!” Gabriel snapped, hitting him again. Cole stood up, ready to fight back, but Nolan quickly held him back. “Hey, calm down,” Nolan said, placing a hand on his chest. “Do you really think you can fight with Gabriel? He’s the toughest one here, and you know that.” “That doesn’t mean I should just let him keep hitting me,” Cole grumbled. “He thinks he can bully me every time. One day, I’ll snap.” Gabriel rolled his eyes and folded his arms. “Anyway,” Nolan said, cutting through the tension. “What’s going on? What were you trying to say before Gabriel stopped you?” Gabriel shot Cole a warning glare, but Cole ignored him and looked at Nolan. “We heard you and Savannah broke up,” Cole said flatly. “The whole class is talking about it. We were actually talking about it too before you walked in. We were wondering what happened.” Nolan blinked, surprised. “Wait, what? How did you guys even find out? That happened just two days ago!” “So it’s true?” Gabriel’s eyes widened. “You didn’t even deny it! Wow, wow. What happened between you two?” Nolan rubbed the back of his neck, clearly bothered. “I don’t get it… How did the news spread so fast?” “I thought you didn’t want us talking to him about it,” Cole added, shooting Gabriel a glare. “Now look at you, asking all the questions. Hypocrite much?” Gabriel gave Cole a side-eye. “Just shut up, Cole.” Jett started talking about it,” Cole said, avoiding Nolan’s eyes. “He said he went out with Savannah to the club, and they had a good time. He also said something else, something I don’t want to believe…” “What did he say?” Nolan asked. “Tell me. I want to know.” Cole sighed. “He said… he slept with her. She stayed at his place that night, and he dropped her off the next morning.” Nolan’s heart sank. He had tried to stay calm, but hearing those words hurt. He remembered how Savannah had looked that morning, dressed in revealing clothes. Her mom had said she was going for a walk, but her clothes said otherwise. Nolan hadn’t questioned it at the time because he was focused on trying to get Savannah not to break up with him but now it made sense. “Nolan?” Gabriel called, snapping him out of his thoughts. “Are you okay? I’ve been talking to you, but you didn’t say anything.” Nolan blinked, then forced a smile. “Yeah, I’m fine. I’m okay.” But he wasn’t. He was struggling to believe what Cole had said. “You don’t need to worry about it,” Cole said quickly. “If it’s true, then she showed you who she really is. Be glad you found out now, before the wedding. She’s not worth your time. I’m sorry this happened to you.” “Thanks, Cole,” Nolan said, letting out a deep breath. “You’re right. I shouldn’t be upset about someone who doesn’t care about me. Savannah isn’t worth it. She’s not worth my time.I deserve someone better. If she wants to be with someone else, that’s on her. It’s her loss.” Cole and Gabriel exchanged surprised looks. This wasn’t the Nolan they knew. He had always been so in love with Savannah. Now, he was speaking like he was done with her. They were both worried and surprised with his act. They had always seen him as the hopeless romantic, someone who believed in love no matter the cost. But now, he seemed almost indifferent to the situation, like he had already moved on. It was strange to see him already detached. Gabriel quickly cleared his throat. “There are a lot of better girls out there, Nolan. I know so many who are way better than Savannah. I can introduce you to one whenever you’re ready.” “Enough about all that,” Cole said, trying to change the subject. “Let’s go eat, I’m starving. Aren’t you guys hungry?” “I am,” Nolan said. “I didn’t eat before I left home, so yes, let’s get something to eat. The bill’s on me. You can eat as much as you want, Gabriel. You’re the food lover among us.” Nolan laughed. Cole and Gabriel stopped what they were doing and stared at Nolan. Did he really just say he’d pay for their food? That had never happened before. Nolan had never bought food outside. Even when they did go out, either Cole or Gabriel paid for it because Nolan couldn’t afford it. “What changed?” they thought, confused.Latest Chapter

Nolan glanced around and noticed that most of the boys in his class were still watching them closely. Some of them were obviously trying to listen to their conversation. He didn’t want Cherry to start saying something that others might overhear.“Fine,” Nolan said after a short pause. “Let’s go somewhere else.”Without waiting for her response, he turned and started walking. Cherry quickly followed him, while the boys behind them watched in silence, their curiosity growing even stronger. The boys were all envious as they watched Nolan and Cherry walk away together. None of them could hide their jealousy, and they immediately started speculating among themselves, their voices filled with bitterness and disbelief.“There’s no way,” one of them scoffed. “There’s absolutely no way a beautiful girl like that would choose Nolan just like that. It’s impossible.”“Exactly,” another boy added angrily. “What exactly is even wrong with Nolan? First it was Savannah, then Lillian, and now it’s ano

Nolan also saw the post about user X, but he didn’t pay any attention to it. He didn’t see the point. None of it mattered to him anymore. What mattered was that the help he wanted to give to Lara had been achieved. The children at the orphanage would be fine, and he had also successfully taught user X a very big lesson. That alone was enough for him.The day passed very quickly, and before anyone realized it, classes for the day were over. The girls returned to their dorms almost immediately, chatting excitedly about the live stream and everything that had happened. However, most of the boys didn’t go back to their dorms. Instead, they stayed outside, pointing and talking among themselves about a particular person. That person was a girl. She was standing a bit far away from their class building. She was dressed in a cute gown that fit her perfectly. Her hair was packed neatly into a tight high bun, exposing her long neck and delicate features. She wore cute white boots that matched h

Nolan found it amusing. A small smile tugged at his lips without him even realizing it. After everything that had happened between them, after the awkward clash, the misunderstanding, and now the livestream, she still wanted to be friends. He didn’t think twice about it. He accepted her friend request.Lara bit her lip nervously as she waited, staring at her phone. She tried to act calm, but her heart was beating fast. When she saw that Nolan had accepted her friend request, she couldn’t help but smile widely. It made her feel strangely happy.Just then, her phone rang. She checked the screen and saw that it was the management of the livestream platform calling her.“Hello, Lara. Congratulations on your big achievement today,” the manager said.“Thank you. Thank you so much,” Lara replied, beaming. She was extremely happy, and it showed in her voice.“We’re calling to ask about the identity of user NL. Do you have any idea who he is or who he might be?” the manager asked.Lara paused

“I’ll be leaving the livestream now,” User NL typed.Seeing that User NL was about to leave the livestream, Lara suddenly felt a wave of sadness wash over her. She didn’t know why it hit her so strongly, but it did. It was because she still hadn’t gotten to know who exactly he was. She wasn’t sure when she would ever find out who he truly was again, or if she would ever cross paths with him after today. It wasn’t that she wanted to meet him because of the gifts and rewards he had given her. No. She simply wanted to meet someone like him, someone who was rich and yet still very humble, calm, and sensible.“Before you leave, user NL,” Lara said quickly. “Can you tell us who exactly you are? I’m pretty sure it’s not only me that’s curious. Everyone here is curious to know who you are.”Almost immediately, the comments section started filling it with a lot of messages. “She’s right.”“Yes, please tell us.”“We all want to know.”“Reveal yourself, user NL.”Everyone started sending messag
Chapter 385
Everyone started to mock User X, and the worst part was that he was reading everything on his screen. Every single comment. In fact, he was in a very bad state and didn’t even know what he was feeling anymore. He was sweating a lot and was clearly panicking. He had lost. No one needed to tell him that. It was glaring and obvious that he had lost badly. He had ended up losing on two ends. He had lost his money, and he had lost his face. Over thirteen million dollars had left his pocket, and all he got in the end was mockery and disgrace. He was about to go crazy as regret started to consume him. Every second, every thought reminded him of how badly he had messed up.He had messed up by accepting User NL’s challenge. If he had known how this would end, he would never have accepted it. He shouldn’t have paid any attention to User NL at all. He shouldn’t even have appeared on this live stream in the first place. If he had just overlooked Lara’s live stream, if he had simply scrolled past
Chapter 384
“What is wrong with rich people? Do they actually think at all? How the hell did User X just drop another five million dollars like it is nothing? This is crazy.”“We are definitely from a different world. This world of the rich, I don’t understand it at all. This is really crazy. I don’t even know what to say or what to feel anymore. This is insane.”“I wish I could just have a million dollars. There is so much I could do with it. But some people are here flashing millions of dollars anyhow, just to prove that they are richer and more well-to-do than others.”“I’m honestly just interested in seeing what User NL would do now that User X has dropped five million dollars twice. I love what is happening. It’s their money. They can do anything they want with it. You all should keep your advice and what you think to yourself. That’s not why we’re here.”Everyone had different things to say. Some people were shocked that User X and User NL were going to this extreme just to prove who was ri
