Chapter 1:Hal Rodgraim
The glowing eyes of the raging monster, the relentless attack of the Hunters, the fatal strike...
Thud. His body slammed hard against the ground. "No!" he heard a voice scream. It sounded so distant, he thought. Why? He was dying. Hal lay motionless, staring into blank space, lost in thought. So, this was how he would die—like a weak, miserable E-rank Hunter. Worst of all, he didn't even get the chance to exact his revenge on those damned monsters. As he lay there, feeling the life slip away from him, like sand in an hourglass, he began to close his eyes. Suddenly, a blue screen appeared in front of him, with words written in white. [Potential Host found] [Do you wish to accept?] [Yes] [No] What was this? he thought. Well, it didn’t matter now; he was dead anyway, so there was no use being careful in making a decision. He decided to just choose "Yes." With that, he selected the "Yes" option. The next words filled him with surprise. [Congratulations, Hal Rodgraim! You have been chosen by the Omnix System!] 'Omnix System? What was that?' he wondered. 'Wait, scratch that. How in the name of the blights does it know my name?' ***** Present day. On a brightly lit street, several people could be seen walking about all with a look of anticipation on their faces. The cause for all this was the presence of a C-rank gate spawning here. Of course, it wasn't that there hadn't been occurrences of gates showing up in this part of the United States; it was just that Kansas wasn't famed for its high level of gates, thus the commotion. A small group of squads had been deployed to deal with it and among them was the squad Hal Rodgraim belonged to. The squads had gone in a few hours ago to deal with the issue, and now everyone on the outside was anxiously awaiting their return. Reporters could be seen everywhere brandishing their cameras like that was their very tool to ward off the monsters. A few minutes later, Hunters could be seen exiting from the gate and the shutters of cameras could be heard going off as each reporter present tried to get the perfect picture that was going to make the front page the next day. Exiting from the gate was a Hunter being assisted to walk by another Hunter. It was Hal Rodgraim. Looking up at the sky, Hal let out a long sigh as he walked while holding his ribcage towards the medical bay that had quickly been set up at a corner of the street for some check-ups. He must have broken a few ribs he thought, entering the bay he greeted the nurse there, she was also a hunter but was a healer type, Hunter, she was someone he knew pretty well due to the fact that he visited the medical bay a lot after almost every raid he participated in and she just happened to be the healer assigned to the squad he belonged to. "You have to stop getting injured like this every time you participate in a raid." she scolded as she treated him. "Well, it isn't like I have much of a choice." He retorted. Letting out a grin, he said, "A guy's got to survive, right? Besides, duty called so...." "But still, you should try your best to avoid danger, or else there will only be as much help as we can give you," she said back. Hal wanted to reply but instead thought in his mind, " It's not like there is much I can do, considering the fact that I am a rank E hunter." Exiting the medical bay, he left the surroundings of where the gate had spawned and headed home. It was late already, his little sister probably would have been asleep by now. The raid took longer than expected. He had promised his younger sister an outing today, but unfortunately, he couldn't do that now. The gate had an unusually high number of monsters, ranging from the basic tier monsters to the mutant tier, and even had an extremely strong boss monster at the highest level of the advanced tier. There had been an abnormality in the actual strength of monsters in a dungeon, recently. It had been a tough fight between them and the monsters, fortunately, or unfortunately for him, he had managed to get out of it with just a few broken ribs, which were almost completely healed all thanks to the specially designed suits used by hunters but still he could only draw little of it's healing powers to heal him, that was why he still had to visit the medical bay after raids. It took him an hour before he got home; on getting home, he entered the elevator and waited for it to get to the level at which his apartment was located. They lived in a two-bedroom apartment, he and his sister. "Aah! How tired I am." Hal thought; entering the room, he found his little sister fast asleep and smiled; she was the only reason why he hadn't quit being a hunter long ago. Getting on top of his bed, which was a bunk he shared with his sister, his thoughts ran through all that happened today; today, like every other raid, he had been so close to death but, as usual, managed to escape its grips once again. "how long am I going to continue like this." he thought. No, he wasn't going to think like that. He was going to continue fighting against the monsters to continue getting the funds to take care of his little sister and to get his revenge on those damn monsters that took both his parents from him and his little sister. With that thought in mind, he closed his eyes and drifted off into a peaceful slumber, totally fagged out.Expand

Omnix: Celestial system Chapter 168– Epilogue: Dawn Bringers
Hal descended through the atmosphere like a comet of blue and gold, Celestial armor blazing against the blackened sky. The clouds split as he passed, lightning dancing from the friction of his speed, the wind screaming in every direction. A news helicopter caught him on its cameras. The anchor’s voice trembled as it broadcast live to the world: “Ladies and gentlemen… what you are witnessing is… unprecedented… Hal Astravor, descending from the heavens…” Every city paused. Every screen, every radio, every device tuned in. Cheers erupted, shouts of hope spilling across streets filled with smoke and ruin. People cried, waved, and knelt, staring skyward. Below, the world’s most formidable generals waited on the ground, eyes wide, mouths slightly open. Phil Cobblestone, Liu Chen, Hanson Matsumoto, Karl Novan, and Alexandr Dragunov had faced countless threats—but never had the sky itself opened to reveal something so overwhelmingly real. Hal touched down with a soft thud. Dust and rubbl

Omnix: Celestial system Chapter 167: Lord Celestial
And then he exhaled.A pulse erupted from his body, rolling through the void, tearing at Krygios’ shadowy form. The Titan’s weapon clattered aside as Hal’s fists glowed with pure Celestial energy. He struck again, crystal core exploding with radiance. Light poured outward, ripping through shadow and stone, fire and gravity.Krygios screamed—not in pain, but in disbelief. The Titan had conquered worlds, ended civilizations, ruled death itself—and yet, here he was, unraveling before a human.“Impossible…” Krygios whispered, stumbling backward. Light cracked through his scales, shadows retreating.Hal didn’t hesitate. He struck once more, directly into the Titan’s chest. The crystal core shattered. Not with an explosion. Not with fire. With brilliance. Light spilled outward like a thousand suns, scattering into infinity. Krygios’ massive body began to dissolve—first into shards of dark crystal, then into glowing motes, finally dispersing into radiant starlight that drifted across the voi

Omnix: Celestial system Chapter 166: To Scream Defiance At The Heavens (3)
The first blow never landed. Krygios’ weapon carved through space itself, a crescent of annihilation sweeping toward Hal with enough force to shatter moons. The void screamed as the strike passed, then stopped. Not blocked. Not deflected. It simply… failed to arrive. The space between Krygios and Hal folded inward, distance stretching like molten glass. The blade passed where Hal had been, even though he hadn’t moved. Hal floated there, suspended against the black canvas of space, Celestial armor gleaming faintly like a newborn star. Krygios’ burning eyes narrowed. “…Interesting.” He twisted midair and struck again, faster, harder. The weapon roared, shadows clinging to its edge like starving beasts. Again, the strike slowed. Again, it never reached its target. Hal exhaled softly. Reality bent. Not violently. Not loudly. It simply obeyed. Krygios felt it then. The subtle wrongness. Momentum is bleeding away. Vectors misaligning. The universe is refusing to coop

Omnix: Celestial system Chapter 165: To Scream Defiance At The Heavens (2)
Chapter 165 The explosion tore space apart. It wasn’t light. It wasn’t fire. It was force, raw, absolute power unleashed without restraint. Hal’s body was swallowed whole. He didn’t scream. He didn’t even have time to brace. Krygios’ glaive struck him dead-on, the crystal core in the Titan’s chest flaring as shadow collapsed inward and detonated outward all at once. The impact erased distance. It erased direction. Hal was hurled like debris. Armor shattered in layers. Celestial plating cracked, systems screaming as they overloaded. His body slammed through drifting asteroids, pulverizing them on contact, until even momentum itself seemed to give up trying to stop him. Krygios followed. Not rushing. Not chasing. Just… appearing. A massive fist closed around Hal’s face and drove him forward, smashing him again and again, each punch bending space slightly, each impact carrying the weight of extinct civilizations. “You fight like a survivor,” Krygios said calmly, slamming

Omnix: Celestial system Chapter 164: To Scream Defiance At The Heavens (1)
Hal broke the sound barrier in less than a second.Kansas City vanished beneath him in a blur of fire and shattered air as his Celestial armor flared, stabilizers screaming against atmospheric resistance. The world watched.Every surviving MHO satellite locked onto his ascent. Emergency broadcasts, some sanctioned, most hijacked, lit up shattered cities and underground shelters alike. Soldiers, Hunters, civilians, and children huddled around cracked screens and flickering projections.A single figure rose, not in a jet.Not in a shuttle. But alone.“He’s leaving the atmosphere!”Static tore through the audio as Hal punched through cloud layers, pressure crushing inward before evaporating entirely. The sky darkened from blue to violet, then to black.Sound died, and fire peeled away from his armor in ribbons as the last vestiges of Earth’s gravity released him.And suddenly.... Silence.Earth curved beneath him, vast and fragile, glowing like a jewel suspended in nothingness. Storm s

Omnix: Celestial system Chapter 163: Things That Can't be Avoided (7)
The scythe didn’t whistle. It howled. Marbas reacted instantly, pages of the Black Script flipping violently as a sigil detonated between them. Force erupted point-blank. Hal was thrown backward like a discarded doll, spine crashing through concrete, ribs fracturing audibly. The wall behind him collapsed inward. But the scythe had already tasted blood. A thin, glowing line split Marbas’ chest, black ichor sizzling as it touched the air. Marbas staggered one step back. He looked down. Then he laughed. “…So you can cut me.” Hal pushed himself upright, his wounds sealing themselves up. It was another Qi trick. His breathing was heavy, but his eyes were clear. “You talk too much,” Hal said. “That’s your flaw.” Marbas’ smile widened. “Then allow me to correct it.” The Black Script snapped shut. The world screamed. Every letter ever written by Marbas ignited simultaneously. Sigils burned into the air, into the ground, into Hal’s vision itself. Fire rained from nowhere. Ic

Loving the book. Although the first two chapters feel slightly without actions, the tension gradually rises with each subsequent chapter. I trust that author Nim can do even better. Overall, it's a great book.
