Seeing this, Michael Han was furious as his eyes turned sharp. "It seems you have chosen death!"

The entire upper circle knew clearly that he was the one pursuing Veronica Winchester. And although he had not yet succeeded in making her formally acknowledge him, his carefully maintained image and a few well-placed words had caused people to subconsciously begin regarding the two of them as a pair.

But now, the woman he wanted was being held by the waist provocatively by another man. How could he possibly bear it?

Even the watching crowd couldn't help but shake their heads and murmur among themselves.

"Heh. A nobody dares to go toe to toe with Young Master Han over Veronica?"

"He must be tired of living, or the little power he picked up in prison has made him think he is stronger than everyone."

"Truly as they say. A toad can only dream of eating a swan but can never actually do it."

Meanwhile, Patriarch Patrick Dunn felt his eyes light up watching the scene unfold. Since Young Master Han and Trevor appeared to be clashing, he would happily add fuel to the fire.

With a righteous expression on his face, he pointed at Trevor and addressed Michael Han directly. "Young Master, it is completely understandable. This man here is a stubborn individual that words simply cannot persuade."

"Two and a half years ago he beat my son to a pulp and left him so bloodied that he spent weeks recovering in the hospital. And he only just walked out of prison today."

"Young Master, if someone like him dares talk back to you, the best course of action is to use your fists and teach him a proper lesson. Because if word gets out that an ex-convict with a history of abusing women exchanged words with you and walked away unscathed, it will do nothing but damage your reputation."

Patrick felt a surge of excitement as those words left his mouth. Why wouldn't he? The enmity between him and Trevor could never be resolved with mere words not after Trevor had ended his family's lineage with a single kick.

Had it not been for Veronica Winchester suddenly appearing, he would have already had his guards deal with Trevor long ago.

But being both a businessman and a family patriarch, he was not foolish enough to wage an all out war against the Winchester family. Even if he won, the Dunn family would be left so weakened that their enemies would swarm in like vultures before the dust even settled.

But now with Michael Han present, he instantly knew that Trevor would not be able to escape his fate today.

'You are doomed, boy. Hehehe. Even if the Buddha himself arrived, he wouldn't be able to save you now.'

Patrick Dunn thought to himself with quiet satisfaction.

Meanwhile, after hearing those words, Michael Han was done exchanging words with Trevor. He took a single step forward and instantly appeared directly before him, launching a heavy punch without hesitation.

In this world, martial arts were divided into ten ranks. Michael Han, sitting at the second rank, possessed the combined strength of more than ten ordinary adults.

Technically speaking, Trevor should not have been able to block that punch under any circumstances.

When the people standing around them saw it coming, they froze in shock, unable to react in time.

Even Veronica herself was stunned, and a wave of regret washed over her for having dragged Trevor into her problems in the first place.

But unlike everyone around him who had already written him off, Trevor didn't budge. He stood like a sword planted in the eye of a storm. Instinctively, Veronica shut her eyes, unable to bring herself to watch Trevor be reduced to a bloodied mess.

Slap!!!

A crisp, sharp sound rang out through the entire hall, drawing a collective gasp from everyone present.

Hearing it, Veronica couldn't stop herself from opening her eyes to look.

She froze instantly on the spot.

Trevor was still standing exactly where he had been, completely unmoved, his hand raised at a casual forty five degree angle to his left.

As for Michael Han, he was on the ground with a vivid red mark blooming across his face and an expression of pure disbelief etched into his features.

He a warrior of the Iron Body Realm had been slapped to the ground.

Even the crowd was thrown into confusion. Wasn't Michael Han supposed to be one of the greatest talents of his generation? Wasn't he said to be extraordinarily powerful? So how had a common ex-convict with no known martial background just put him on the floor?

"It seems we misjudged this ex-convict. He clearly has some real skill."

"What skill? Michael Han wasn't trying to kill him, only teach him a lesson. He was simply caught off guard, that's all."

The crowd argued back and forth amongst themselves.

Meanwhile, as everyone around her was either arguing or still processing what they had just witnessed, Veronica had already snapped out of her daze and inwardly she was celebrating.

For Trevor to casually slap Michael Han to the ground with that little effort was not a small thing. It spoke volumes about the level of power he was actually carrying.

Did this mean... that the Winchester family was finally about to rise again?
