Serena clicked into the office. The door too clicked behind, wrapping the doctor and sly killer— Serena Marcelline in the cold room with their secret. But on the table laid the doctor's phone, connected to Kael's in the cranny apartment.

Dr. Frankenstein stood up, trying to steady himself in her presence.

Serena pulled her eyeglasses off. She didn't sit. She just looked around with cold gaze, assessing the room.

He turned to look at the doctor. "It's safe to say you got no camera in here," She said. "Is everything ready?"

The doctor nodded, sweat glistening on his forehead. He was cautious of whatever he was saying, aware that whatever he was saying is no more secret.

"H— have prepared my speech, Ma'am. I'll do everything you tell me. Don't just harm my family," His voice trembled slightly.

Serena smirked and nodded. "Let's proceed, shall we." She moved, turning to walk out but Dr. Frankenstein's voice stopped her. "I'll return the money you wired. I can't collect it." He said, trying to keep his voice steady.

Serena turned to look him slowly. She chuckled and walked to his desk.

"You think because I wired the money, it means I paid you for the job?" She snorted, her voice cruel cold. "I paid you to have your mouth shut." She paused, leaning closer for her cologne to bit the doctor's nose. "Dare me and speak about everything that happened in this room to anyone.... then I'll shut more than just your lips." Her voice dripped venom and threat.

Dr. Frankenstein froze. His heart raced loudly in his ear. He got the threat. Clean and consice.

Serena turned, pulled out a handkerchief from her bag before she fixed the eyeglasses on her face again, and she walked out of the room.

Dr. Frankenstein collapsed into his seat the moment the door clicked shut. He quickly grabbed the phone and checked the screen. He exhaled in relief, satisfied the call was still connected.

"Make sure you follow whatever she tells you." Kael said.

"Alright. Alright." He said with hasty breath and stood up quickly to walk out of the room.

Along the hallway of starlight clinic, Serena clicked to the entrance, her bodyguards flanked behind her with grim expressions. Ahead of her were three nurses wheeling out the cold dead body Amelia laying on a gurney.

Serena wheezed in practiced sorrow, wiping tears below the eyeglasses with the handkerchief as it streamed down.

Dr. Frankenstein trailed behind her, hiding his shock beneath a nervous expression. Serena was seriously shedding fake tears on her dead daughter!? How heartless and vile mischievous is the woman who's supposed to be a mother.

But she's just a heartless b*tch!

The moment the gurney was whisked into the air, reporters pressed forward with microphones, cameras fluttered from different angles, flooding light on the entrance.

Serena stepped out, her black dress drinking in the light. She pulled her glasses slowly. Camera pressed on her face. Tears spilled from red eyes as though she had been shedding tears for hours. Her expression was gloomy like a mourning mother. At least that was what the world was seeing behind the mask of a cold murderer.

Reporters went haywire, pressing to the entrance despite the bodyguards restraints.

"Mrs. Serena. Who is the girl? Is she dead?"

"Is she your daughter?"

"How many years old is she?"

"If she is your daughter, do you think your opponents party strikes her behind your back to make you lose focus on your aspiration?"

Serena broke into crocodile sob.

Benjamin's memory. He'd tried to bind his soul with the body of Benjamin completely to access his memory, but Benjamin's body was too weak for the soul binding. It costs a lot of energy. He muttered under his breath, his mind spinning.Eleano walked to him in concern, standing beside him. "Is anything the problem? You've been lost after the...."
