The woman walked forward, carrying authority; she was beautiful in a way that made people forget what they were going to do, with sharp and composed features.

It was Olivia Clark.

“Why the scene, didn’t I tell you that we’re expecting someone important and you should maintain order in the building?” She asked.

Hearing that Amelia thought she was referring to herself and Brian. A small smile curled at the side of her lips.

The chief guard stuttered, “We are… so.. sorry. This man here is the problem.

Amelia, still thinking Olivia was talking about them, couldn’t help but turn and whisper: “She is expecting us, I believe the deal is already secured.” She said with excitement.

Meanwhile, Brian was confused, truth be told, Olivia had always looked down on his family and himself, she saw him as a Playboy, but couldn’t understand why she was acting formal this time.

Could it be that she had thought about him and his family and would be giving them a chance to work together?

But then Brian looked around, there was no important figure other than himself, He saw Andrew as less and someone Olivia wouldn’t want to be with.

Amelia looked at Olivia, then slowly took a step forward. “Ms. Clark, you shouldn’t be scolding your guard, he was doing his job,” she pointed at Andrew, “This man here is the problem, he is an ex- convict, who had just been released from prison. You should throw him out before he ruins the atmosphere with his pathetic life.”

“Don’t you dare call me that!” Andrew’s voice dropped with menace.

Amelia laughed, she looked at Andrew up and down in a mocking way. “Aren’t you an ex- convict,” she smirked. “I told you people like you aren’t welcome here,”

She wasn’t holding back as she uttered. “Ms Clark, this man should be punished for setting foot into this building. Call the police to have him arrested or order your guards to beat the hell out of him.”

Olivia looked at Andrew, she saw the crystal ring on his finger. Without being told she knew he was the one her father had sent, he was the honoured guest she had been waiting for.

“You’re right, someone needs to be taught a lesson. This would sound as a lesson for everyone to know their place, and also know that they should not dare to disturb my honoured guest.”

The hall buzzed with whispering comments from people around, each one now against Andrew.

“It’s finished for that young man.” One man whispered.

“How dare he set foot into this establishment?” A woman added.

Amelia stood by the side watching, her mind swirling with excitement.

“I warned you, Andrew. You are going back to jail. You should never have stepped foot or challenged me.” She mocked. “You should go down on your knees and apologise to me, I can help you out.”

Andrew didn’t flinch, “I don’t need your help, you should be worried about yourself because you might end up getting kicked out of the building.”

At that moment, Amelia’s body was heating with anger, and she spun around, her voice loud and sharp.

“Listen everyone,” she started. “ This man here is not just an ex- convict but also a rapist. I know him cause he is my ex-husband. There is no way someone like him should be seen around a big establishment like this. Everything you see on him is fake or stolen.”

“And what if they aren’t fake?” Andrew replied with a furrowed brow.

Securities were already moving even before Olivia could give an order.

Olivia’s eyes moved toward Amelia, the way someone looked at something they had disliked.

Before anyone could blink, a thunderous slap echoed through the hall.

The hall erupted with disbelief.

Amelia blinked, clearly not expecting to be slapped across the face by Olivia.

“Who do you think you are to disrespect my guest. Who are you?” Olivia’s voice was carrying tension.

Brian was stunned.

Amelia stood puzzled, “Ms. Clark, I’m Amelia Anderson. You should have slapped him and not me.”

“Shut up, I don’t care to know who you are or where you are from. You just don’t talk to my guests in that manner.”

The hall erupted in commotion, and they exchanged confusing glances.

“Is he the important guest she was supposed to have?”

“How could that be possible, why would she choose to meet an ex- convict?”

Andrew simply smiled.

Amelia looked at Andrew with shock and disbelief. “Her honoured guest, impossible! How did he… no, it’s impossible.”

“Ms Clark,” Brian stepped in. “This is my fiancée you just slapped.”

Olivia cut him with a sharp voice. “And so? Doesn’t your fiancée have respect for people bigger than her? Do you have any idea who the man before you is?”

Brian and Amelia exchanged confused glances, they were still unable to understand how Andrew became the guest she had been waiting for.

Olivia turned away from Brian, then to Andrew. She composed herself and said respectfully, “Please, come with me. My office is this way”

Andrew followed, leaving Amelia’s eyes wide open. Before Andrew took another step he turned to Amelia. “This is just the beginning.”

Amelia looked like she had swallowed a lemon, her lips parted, but no words came out. Brian’s jaw dropped.

The crowd sensing the shift of power, began whispering, some even chuckled and mocked Amelia.

Now, inside the office. Olivia was quite shocked when she saw Andrew, she didn’t expect to see such a young and charming man when she heard about him from her father.

She thought he was one of those gangsters her father had always hired to look after her, or some heavy-built man.

It was also the first time, Andrew was meeting Olivia, and he had to admit that she was a stunning and alluring young lady.

She was about twenty-five or nine years of age with a slender yet plump body.

Sitting down in front of Olivia’s desk Andrew remained composed.

“Mr. Thomas, I am sorry for what happened in the lobby.”

"Don't you have any idea whom you're messing with?"The leader grinned, slow and mocking. "That's exactly why we're letting you step out on your own, Ms. Clark. We don't want to harm you yet."Andrew, beside her, was calm the way a lake goes still before a storm. "Stay in the car," he said quietly. "I can handle them.""No." Olivia's breath caught. "I'll call for backup."She reached for her phone

I didn’t mean to be rude and disrespectful.” She mumbled.Olivia looked at the scene with a raised brow. She thought maybe he had done that on purpose because he knew something like this would happen.Livinus stepped forward, h

Mere looking at him, he wasn’t like the rest he had sent over the years. While she thought about it, she also looked respectful on the surface. “Mr. Thomas, you can tell me if you need anything, and I will have it brought to you.” At this moment, a secretary knocked on the door and said. “Miss. Clark. Mr. Thompson and his fiancée are still waiting to see you.” Olivia stared at Andrew, and then back at the secretary. “I’m busy, let them wait if they can or they should leave.” After the secretary left, she asked. “Why do they have a grudge against you?” She knew Amelia was his ex-wife, but couldn’t tell why she had hated him so much that she wanted to humiliate him. “I don’t want to talk about that,” he simply replied.
