Chapter 005 - No New Deal

“It’s nothing!” he said, “At least you didn’t disclose anything to them.”

Olivia could only stare at Andrew, she wondered if he father had made the right decision to hand Andrew the crystal ring and ask him to take care of her.

Mere looking at him, he wasn’t like the rest he had sent over the years. While she thought about it, she also looked respectful on the surface.

“Mr. Thomas, you can tell me if you need anything, and I will have it brought to you.”

At this moment, a secretary knocked on the door and said. “Miss. Clark. Mr. Thompson and his fiancée are still waiting to see you.”

Olivia stared at Andrew, and then back at the secretary. “I’m busy, let them wait if they can or they should leave.”

After the secretary left, she asked. “Why do they have a grudge against you?”

She knew Amelia was his ex-wife, but couldn’t tell why she had hated him so much that she wanted to humiliate him.

“I don’t want to talk about that,” he simply replied.

Olivia didn’t push further; instead, she smiled. And pulled out a document. “Tonight I will be hosting a gala to recruit new partners to strengthen my faction. And you can attend and help me decide which partner would be better.”

“Do you know Brian Thompson?” He abruptly asked.

“The Thompson’s family is one of our partners, His uncle handles several of our Major projects. And they want us to cooperate with the Anderson’s family.” Olivia replied after a brief pause.

Andrew frowned and uttered with a cold voice. “If you want me to help you recruit new partners, Crystal Eagle should cut all corporations with The Thompsons’ and Anderson’s family.”

Olivia startled in shock for a while, she knew they had offended him, but wasn’t expecting him to take immediate action against them.

“You don’t have to worry, I have been looking for a way to cut ties with the Thompson’s family for a long time, maybe this is just a perfect moment.”

Andrew nodded in satisfaction and said. “I have another request. Don’t my any chance reveal my identity to anyone no matter what.”

Meanwhile, outside the office, Amelia and Brian were anxious waiting.

The Anderson family has d always wanted to collaborate with Miss Olivia Clark, believing it would increase the credibility and visibility of their company.

Brian seeing that, had to use it to his advantage, and offered her a few deals, making her believe he was capable of helping her.

However, what happened earlier was unexpected. Olivia slaps Amelia because of Andrew.

Amelia was still burning in inner rage, but she knew better than to utter a word, she was there for something important and would talk about that maybe some other time.

“Don’t worry, we’re getting the deal,” Brian said, assuring her.

He glanced at his wrist watch, it had been two hours since they had been waiting, Brian approached the secretary.

“Hey, may I know if Miss, Clark is available to see us, we have been waiting for a long time.”

The secretary glanced at him for a moment, before she replied. “Miss. Clark, had asked me to inform you to hold on for a while, she’s having a meeting with her guest.”

Brian furrowed his brow, wondering what Andrew could be discussing with Olivia. But he didn’t dare utter a word.

He’d walked back to his seat.

“What happened, is she not through with her meeting?”

“No.” He replied flatly.

They’d both waited for a few more hours, Amelia became frustrated, and had to walk toward the secretary herself.

“What’s going on, do we have to wait for a day before we get to see Miss Clark?”

“Miss, I’d advise you don’t create a scene or else you will be asked to leave this moment.”

“How dare you talk back at me?” Amelia snapped furiously. “Do you know who I am. Do you think I am just an ordinary secretary like you?”

Brian stepped forward and grabbed Amelia, back to her seat. “Don’t create a scene, we’ll see her in a few minutes.”

Amelia was fuming in rage, she couldn’t help but blame her ex-husband who had shown up earlier to ruin her moment.

However, the secretary took the intercom spoke into it and a few minutes later two security men stormed forward behind the secretary.

“Mr. Thompson, I’m sorry to inform you but our chairman said that Crystal Eagle has no interest in collaborating with your company. From now on, we will cancel all the projects with the Thompson’s family and any existing collaboration with any of your company’s.”

“What did you just say?”

Brian gasped in shock, and his jaw dropped. What did he just hear? Does it mean that Olivia Clark will halt all collaboration with his family?

If this happens doesn’t it mean that his family will be greatly affected and it would cut his family’s net worth by half?

Amelia’s face drained of colour, as she stood there for a moment. The words hit harder than the slap she had received earlier.

What happened?

The secretary watched their faces but that didn’t stop her, “I’m sorry, Miss Clark will not see you because she had already left the company an hour ago, and you’re not allowed here in the future!”

“What the hell?” Brian shouted. “This can’t happen, don’t joke with me. My family and this company are long-term partners. She can’t terminate our projects just like that. It’s impossible.”

The secretary was unbothered by his scream, she nodded at the security guards. “Kick them out.” Her words were firm and sharp.

The men immediately jumped and grabbed them so hard that they screamed.

“Let me go, do you know who I am? I will make you lose your job.” Brian shouted.

But the security men didn’t care about either of them. Amelia’s eyes welled up in tears, as she struggled with the other guard.

Not only has she been slapped, but she has also lost a major collaboration and has just been kicked out of the Crystal Eagle building like a slave.

Brian was about to burst into fury, when his phone suddenly rang

It was his uncle, Peter Thompson.

When he answered the call a furious voice echoed through the other end of the line. “Where are you? What did you tell Miss Clark? I warned you to stay away from Crystal Eagle with your useless girlfriend, but you refused. Now, they’ve terminated all projects with us. Why did you not listen to me?”

“Uncle, I didn’t do anything. I haven’t seen Miss Clark, I came here because she was supposed to see Amelia for a business collaboration.”

“Shut up?” Peter shouted. “I got notified that they terminated the contracts because of you and your little who*e. You offended someone you weren’t supposed to. You had better find a way to settle whatever you had caused or else I will have you dealt with when you return home.”

Holding his phone with his shaking hands, Brian eyes turned red and his jaw tightened. “This is all because of Andrew.”
